All 4 of them made the band really. The fact that it was the same for people for 2 decades is incredible and even if John had stayed after Freddie died it would have never been the same
i think he's someone that likes to play music and make songs. i think it's all of the other bullshit involving the industry that turned him off and who can blame him.
Chris Bushnall, John Deacon may have left Queen, and he might have thought, "No Freddie, no Queen, now that, Freddie has died, maybe I have been in Queen over 40 years, like Brian, and Roger, and maybe, that's why I'm retiring". We, as fans, miss his basslines, as they were simply legendary, but I respect John Deacon, too, in my humble opinion.
It's just my opinion, but I feel Freddie was a "glue" that held Queen together. John was around until 1997 to help finish all the songs Freddie recorded vocals for. After bit.ly/YQgEpi John left for good. And I don't belive he will ever join again, not even for the 50th anniversary.
Terrible 3 years for them. May getting divorced, John going through some stuff, Roger having various issues and Freddie finding out he had aids and beginning to physically decline. Even through all of that though, they still produced two class albums!
Brian May is 1 of the kindest, respectful, genuine, honest, heartfelt, caring, loving, and polite people, in music, and as I said, in previous comments, if you saw him in the videos, with Freddie Mercury's mum, and sister. He is without question, a true friend, til the end, in my humble opinion.
@@michaelasquith9791 I agree 100% with your assessment of Brian May. That's exactly how I see him based on various interviews of him and other members of the band. I also saw an article wherein Brian said Freddie's death and his father's death around the same time led to depression on his part and suicidal thoughts.
Poor John, Freddie Mercury was his best friend, and his "big brother". It must have been a difficult situation, losing Freddie, and using alcohol as a way of coping with that loss, but Freddie, Brian, Roger, and John, we love you.
I cried when Brian drove away in a sportscar, laughing with another woman beside him! This only shows that all men are the same, except for me. :) I have NEVER divorced. (because I'm not married) :P
We will never see another band like Queen. They stole Live Aid, at Wembley Stadium, in 1985. Their music videos were out of this world, and awesome. I know Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, and John Deacon has since retired, Brian May, and Roger Taylor still perform today, with another frontman, Adam Lambert, and in my humble opinion, their music will live on, forever. RIP Freddie, Mr and Mrs Bulsara, and Freddie's partner, Jim Hutton. 😥❤
If you haven't already, go see Bohemian Rhapsody. Their reproduction of the Live Aid gig is incredibly meticulous. I can only imagine that it's like the live experience.
@@raksh9, thank you, I would like to see Bohemian Rhapsody, the film. I have seen the trailers, on RU-vid, over, and over again. I can't get enough of them, in my humble opinion.
@@michaelasquith9791 I saw it on the weekend and it's still in my mind. It triggered a web of memories and associations, having grown up listening to Queen, and brought a slew of thoughts about the nature of talent, nostalgia, music, and mortality. I don't know what it will be like for you, but I can only say that you'll really enjoy it. 😊
When brian an Rodger are gone so is queen........people will have to listen to old music If they want to here The band Queen...however queen really was gone 11-24-91
I kinda agree with John no Freddie no Queen, as good as Adam might be its just not the same without Freddie, he was such important part of the band after all he was the FRONT MAN and LEAD singer as much a would love to see the new queen it break my heart to see them without Freddie and John also, some pieces of a band are just not replaceable like Led zepp without Robert Plant and even Jimmy Page, even if the replacement were better which they are not its just not the same. Mr Mercury was just irreplaceable in more ways then one. although I am happy in some ways that they are performing it keeps Queens music and Freddie spirit alive and that's a good thing.
I'm probably gonna get bashed for this, but I don't think Adam L. can hold a candle to Freddie. Adam is just all volume, and no feeling. I miss Freddie...😥
@@jillhoskins9966 I agree a 100%. I've only seen bits and pieces of their new concerts, but I have to turn it off after a while, because it feels so wrong. Freddie felt their songs - He sang them with his heart and soul. Adam is all showman as far as I have seen.
He called it quits after Freddie died. He is a fine bass guitarist and a good family man. As to where he is i'll do a search on google or Wikipedia :-)
I saw a more recent interview with Brian... He said that John had a hard time with Freddie's death. He stopped performing with the 2 other members, and even though he approved his role for the bio on Freddie, he doesn't want much to do with it. The for of them didn't always get along. Especially Brian & Freddie, but they were smart to stay together and make as much music as they could before he passed. Freddie was absolute genius. His songs, his music, his sound, his stage presence... Never been able to find a live performance they did that was anything less than Awesome!
Deaky was not only a great artist but a greater man, despite living in a world of fame and excesses he stayed sane but I think after so many years and Freddie gone he finally got enough...actually he should be praised for leaving when so many artists do anything to be in the spotlight. He lived his dream and now he's living another dream...staying with his family in an interview he did say he hated being away from his wife and kids for long periods of time.
Brian was thinking with the wrong head when he got with that one. Never liked her 🤢 Not going to start now. He has had a long string of affairs since he's been with her. That should tell you something.
@@eloisasalamancafernandez485 His married secretary of 12yrs, Julie, for one. Dobson found out and went straight to Julie's husband and spilled the beans. He promptly divorced Julie. There have been others.
Flarrow Mercury, poor guy, as I said in previous comments, Roger Taylor was only 300 yards away from Garden Lodge, and Peter Freestone called him to say, "Don't bother coming, cos he's gone".
Ohh yeah roger's eyes but my lord help me i always loved everything about freddie he was so damn sexy & i loved his eyes loved his dancing around stage just so damn wonderful his voice just amazes me i miss freddie
Things weren’t the same after Freddie died and John left. But I’m glad that Brian and Roger are continuing as they are. I’ll always support them, and I’ll love all four of them forever.
All four members of Queen are brilliant as individuals and musicians, that's what makes them phenomenal together. Their personal lives are simply no one's business. They are human beings and they have their challenges just like EVERYONE. They've given the world a beautiful, unique gift through their music, which is more than many, many other human beings will ever contribute. These four people happen to be four of the world's most outstanding human beings.
@@RAW-zz7gt, thank you, for a great comment. Queen, without Freddie Mercury, AND John Deacon are just as legendary, today, as they were in the 1970s, 1980s, and the early 1990s, when Freddie Mercury sadly lost his brave, courageous AIDS fight, on 24th November, 1991, aged just 45, right up to the mid 1990s, when John Deacon retired in 1997, in my humble opinion.
@@michaelasquith9791 I agree with everything you said. As for Freddie being courageous. Seriously, right? Who else could sing as good as he could on his death bed and with so much pain? It totally breaks my heart to think of all Freddie went through and the hounding of the press on top of it. I am just in awe of his courage. It was so hard to watch him decline. I cry every time I see the video for "These Are The Days of Our Lives," and when I hear the song, "Mother Love," especially, the lyric "Mama, please, let me back inside." It will be hard to see the loss of the other band members if they go before us.
@@RAW-zz7gt, there will never another singer like Freddie Mercury. A few weeks ago, Justin Bieber had a cold, and cancelled a gig. Freddie Mercury was performing, even after lots of radiation therapy. He went to hospital at 5:30 A.M.-6:00 A.M., as his radiation therapy couldn't be done at home, and by 9:00 A.M., he would be singing to his heart's content. In relation, to your comment, about Mother Love, I find it hard to listen to, without crying, cos of that spine-chilling note, in the middle. It's heartbreaking, to say the least, as you said, the line, where Freddie Mercury sings, "I don't want pity, just a safe place to hide, Mama, please let me inside". When I hear the last, and softly spoken "I still love you", at the end of These Are The Days Of Our Lives. They both, have me in tears. We will never forget such an icon, in music, as for the media stalking him, I also said this, in previous comments, if Freddie Mercury was well enough to do so, he would sue them. 😥
No one in this dimension can replace Freddie. Sad he is dead we miss him , but respect Brian and Roger they have tried hard to revive Freddie and Queen's legacy .
When people are depressed others think they are weak. That is WRONG. They don't know how to react and so avoid them, the worst thing they can do. The weakness is in the people who don't recognize and help them.
You should ask yourself what EXACTLY is making you sad? Then write down one thing a day, that you are grateful for. You may be quite surprised at how this will help.
I find it beautiful how special Freddie was to the 3 others that his death effected them so much. Obviously it’s heartbreaking but their relationship is beautiful
As much as I love Queen and Adam Lambert, it’s not the same without Freddie and John. But I’m so happy that they’re still touring and they’re still keeping Queen’s legacy alive. RIP FREDDIE MERCURY. The greatest singer and front man of all time
Jim Beach drives the Lambert / Queen gig as it generates massive fortunes in the USA. He lives in Montreux in his counting house. Beach comes across as a user to me...a man driven totally by money. Look at his interviews, devoid of compassion and empathy. Lambert is just the biggest imposter.
Indeed. It was a call to action for all injustices in the world, with the chorus inspired by Anita Dobson, who he had started dating by the beginning of the Miracle.
It surprises me with all the Queen fighting arguments, Roger still thinks about the fight in Madrid 1986. it must of been huge, if Roger still remembers it.
queen had such a range of style, and mixed genres within their music. I found that there are some songs I like and never knew they were creations of Queen
In one interview, Brian said he was driving on a bridge on day, after Freddie's death. He thought.....I could do it. Imagine what they were going through
I’m 14, my mum was at knebworth ‘86 and i absolutely love queen! She passed in 2012 and I wrote an essay in school about her and I have recently been to see bohemian rhapsody and it was amazing. Queen have been a big part of my life. Loved this
How hurtful to see people spreading hate towards the band members as “brian was with anita before ending things with his first wife” and how “roger has 3 women”...those guys are humans, they make mistakes...plus its their private life. Its their business not ours...can we just not love and support and appreciate them for the music they gave us and are still giving? They are wonderful humans who just made mistakes, dont we all make mistakes? What’s important is their happiness and their music. And i really hope people just stop spreading hate amongst the fandom because “brian cheated” and “roger had 3 women” and “freddie was in multiple relationships when he was alive”
Lmao I'd hate Brian and Roger for different reasons. These things are quite normal. Would you take a look at some of the things they've done after Freddie's death? Roger called John a sociopath, hmm.. he didn't mean that, right? They messed with the script of BoRhap to make Freddie look cocky and like he was treating his band mates terribly....why is that? They added wrong fucking info just to make themselves look innocent and pure.
Yes indeed I agree. The band's individual personal circumstances or relationships are stuff in their privacy. Some who speak maliciously ought to think, I wonder if finding themselves under the same circumstances they might end up doing worse..? Brian Freddie John & Roger have managed to conduct their private lives as decently as possible no matter the situation of being under public scrutiny.
killieguyno1 he was very emotional among the three after Freddie told them he was ill.... that’s why he was very private because it was hard for him losing Freddie
I feel like im a dumb whenever bri was talking. I feel amazed about every word he said like WOW.. no one like him as a men in this era tho. Can't help when John was smile talking like that. Missing Freddie ofc. And Roger is still passionate when speaking. Like i can see the fire 🔥 there behind him hahaha...
I couldn't have said it better myself Brian. I was just having a meditation talk with my twin sister Michele, up in heaven 💖. I said to her reminiscing on Queen. I said, I remember asking Freddie if he had children. He said, "no". Of course, if you're working like they did. I mean kicking out music and staying in the spotlight in healthy ways. Now, here I am in my phone on youtube taking a listen to John being overwhelmed. I believe he loved what he did as a means of living and Freddie. I have never seen a bassist play and move on stage the way John Deacon 💞 did. Queen, " Your My Best Friend" in my life. My mother at the time of writing to you or them. My life and my twin was surely in turmoil. My ma who I do 💕 love and raised Identical twin sister's on her own is amazing. I and my sister tried to make her life easy. It kinda didn't work. This was the last time we both wrote Queen in fan mail. Somewhere in the early 80's we became homeless. Having a home is a foundation that comes first in life. It's a nessecity. I had to make a decision on keeping my job or leaving it. It's the one foundation necessary, important and the only way to live, my sister and I had no where to sleep, shower and your shown who cares while, I'm, what's it called ? Oh, yeah, friends. I was working full-time. If someone lent a hand 🧤 I would have taken care of a share of rent. So, I ended up seeing hopelessness and left it, my job. My ma was terminally ill with lung cancer. I wish she had a son. It always helps 🙂. In a somewhat good relationship, they make magic, security and put self confidence back in you which was always there. We lost our Ma in 1991, early spring. Luv u John Deacon 💞
I grew up with Queen playing all the time, it was the soundtrack to my childhood, even though I was born the year Freddie passed away. I will always love Queen & Brian May will always be my hero. He's one of the most intelligent, talented & loving people I have ever heard of & he will always be an inspiration to me. He breaks my heart in this video, but I'm really happy he found Anita, she was very good for him :)
I was a massive Queen fan so thank you for sharing this video the greatest band ever in my opinion. Plus Brian May is definitely one of the greatest guitar players around. I have to subscribed to a fellow Queen fan. 😊👍👑
Adam Lambert is a very, very good frontman, he is just a fan of Freddie Mercury, but he doesn't sing like Freddie Mercury, but he does have the audiences, in the palms of hands, that's where Freddie Mercury, and Adam Lambert are similar. I feel sad, for John Deacon, for turning to alcohol, for comfort, and he was an intelligent guy, too, in my humble opinion.
@@susanorchard1994, I think that, too. He, Brian, and Roger loved Freddie, as if he was family, and not only that, Freddie loved them, the same, in my humble opinion.
I agree up to a point but, we wouldn't get to here there music if somebody didn't attempt to try and sing Freddie there's on one capable not in my mind
We will rock you, the musical played in London for 12 years, I saw it 2 times, as I was buying a souvenir tee shirt, Brian May was there, I asked him to sign the shirt which I now keep on a wall.
That's for sure; it makes such a difference. I'm not fond of what I refer to as "computerland", but one thing I really appreciate is the ability to see/hear/ the videos and read notes, etc.
When you think about it, it is really sad that John's last live performance with Freddie ended like that. That tour must have been way too intensive for all of them.
They’re all amazing musicians and I love their music so much but I’m just really envious of Brian May’s fabulous hair like dang son I want hair like that
"We had to keep our relationship secret at the time, which is not nice, really..." I love how Brian owns up to cheating, and admitting it's not a good thing to do.
After Freddie died. I heard an interview from 1993 thah JOHN and ROGER want to continue but Brian was kinda holding back .... funny how things changed...
Pathethic115 Because If I Remember Correctly, Brian Was Very Depressed About Losing His Father (I Believe), Losing Freddie And His Marriage Was Going Down The Drain. I Believe He Was Suicidal, That He Almost Considered Jumping Off a Bridge.
Offcorse he is sad. He just lost a good friend :( If i would be Brian and hear on the news that freddie has died i would get sad too and would cry too.
Dennis Healy, I watched Queen, Days Of Our Lives, a few years ago, on BBC Four, and found interesting, and wonderful to watch. In Part 2, I love how Brian, and Roger, and John defended Freddie, right up to the point he died, they are 100% gentlemen, in every sense of the word. If it wasn't for the boys giving their input, about Freddie's AIDS diagnosis, and the stigma that came with it, and then we wouldn't live in a caring world, in my humble opinion.
I'm a french woman and I don't care about Freddie 's private life. He was the better the bigger in Music History : QUEEN FOREVER AND EVER TILL THE ENDS OF TIME. Freddie is may be singing with angels now. RIP Darling
