Always loved this song, but now you really need to watch "Fat Bottomed Girls" live at the Bowl in Milton Keynes, Freddie is a revelation, especially when he pole dances with the scaffolding.
Fun song. Brian wrote this one for Freddie. Now you have to watch the official video for the companion song to this one "Bicycle Race." Fat bottomed girls would be girls with bigger behinds but not necessarily "big women." Freddie liked ladies and gentlemen with junk in the trunk. Thank you for your reaction.
Well even though someone has already said it is worth repeating freddie the singer didn't write the song Brian the guitar player did and they're praising fat bottom girls they're not criticizing or talking negative they're praising them or I should say Brian is praising them because he wrote the words in the song itself you have to remember there are four writers in this band and even though the bass player and the drummer wrote fewer songs than the singer and the guitar player they all write separately it wasn't until many years later when they started to write a little bit more together on this particular album the singer Freddy wrote four the guitar player Brian wrote five the drummer, Roger wrote two and the bass player, John wrote two not only the most talented band you'll ever come across but the most versatile as well
Welcome to the Queen rabbit hole! You've got a great start to your journey. While I like the studio versions (I would strongly recommend you wear headphones when listening to their studio stuff because they get really creative with bouncing the sound & it can give the song a totally different feel)of the songs their live performances will blow you away. Here's a short list of stuff for you react to (there's 20 years of genius to explore so the list can get really long 😋) Somebody To Love Montreal 81 Another One Bites The Dust Montreal '81 (I know you did the studio version but live is better) White Queen Hammersmith Odeon (the guitar/piano duet in the middle of the song is unbelievable) Brighten Beach Rock Hammersmith Odeon Live Aid '85 Killer Queen/I'm in Love With My Car Montreal '81 Get Down Make Love Montreal '81 Under Pressure Freddie Mercury/David Bowie mix video (they never performed this live but someone combined Freddie's performance from Wembley & David's performance from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert ) Black Queen Rainbow '74 You Take My Breath Away Hyde Park '75 (just Freddie & his piano) Save Me Montreal '81 Stone Cold Crazy Live Liar Hammersmith Odeon Who Wants to Live Forever Wembley '86 Bohemian Rhapsody Wembley "86. This is just a start but HAVE FUN!!
You just helped me plan my whole weak for reaction videos ❤️😂😂. I love the headphone idea but with the way I record videos it would mess up the audio. Eventually I will be able to afford an elgato capture card and change my setup. Thankyou for watching my video ❤️
@@cashvstheworld no let me give you my list of studio stuff to delve into for to begin with you need to comprehend their discography before you begin the live stuff. And when you get ti the live stuff Somebody to Love Milton Keynes '82 is better than any other simply because intro is most moving....but studio memorize their titles from the 1970s Queen to Queen Jazz then listen to these nit so famous tracks : Great King Rat/Ogre Battle/ through to nevermore tenement funster through to Lily of the Valley in the lap of the gods through to bring back the other Brown Good Company You take My breath Away Long Away/ Drowse /All Dead / who needs you/ Sleeping on The Sidewalk/ My Melancholy Blues/Mustafa/jealousy / let me entertain You Dead on Time,/ Fun It / Leaving Home ain't Easy/ and even from the game in 19 80 Dragon Attack and Don't Try Suicide
Fat Bottomed Girls was released as a double A-side along with Bicycle Race. The lyrics of the song contain the text line “Get on your bikes and ride”, a clear reference to the other A-side. Bicycle Race has the text “Fat bottomed girls, they'll be riding today, so look out for those beauties, oh yeah” which refers back again. So please react to Bicycle Race too!
It is against Queen law to play this and not pair it with Bicycle Race, so Mr Cash consider yourself on probation until you complete the set. Final warning!
Fun reactions! Thanks. Truth be told, I always thought because of the allusion to taking him home "down beside your red fire light", that the term "fat-bottomed girls" meant ladies of the night. And not the size of the posterior. I guess I'm wrong.
Please do. Breakthrough. Princes of the universe. Invisible man. In my defense, I think is sad but in Freddie’s defense he seems to be examining his life Innuendo.
As someone who lived through this time........we weren't so thin skinned back then and were not offended by every little thing. Fat bottomed girls meant bigger rear ends not "fat" girls. I was rather chunky myself and I remember being teased now and then but hey I was chunky and people aren't blind.........we just had more of a "just deal with it" attitude.
Queen were not just rock. You don't know Queen obviously. They covered every genre, pop, pop rock, rock, thrash metal, jazz, folk, melodic....even had 20s and 30s sounds.
