This is often cited as the best rock performance of all time, while it is great and Queen was definitely the best on the day, I don't think it's even Queen's best.
I totally AGREE: It’s Queen’s most FAMOUS, so folks who don’t know any better (because they’ve never seen any of Queen/Freddie’s OTHER live performances)… just mistakenly assume it’s their best! Which means: The BEST performance in Rock Music history… wasn’t even Queen/Freddie at their Personal Best!🥳
Live Aid was sold out before Queen agreed to participate, so it was not people coming to see them and they were a little concerned about the crowd's reaction.

This is such a rockin' song (of course it is, because it is a May composition) I love it. The guitar on this is fantastic and Freddie of course smashes the vocals. The whole band showed up for this show and are so cohesive which is surprising because Brian said that there was no sound check and they couldn't hear what was going on while on stage. I guess they were just following their cues which Queen always utilized.
An incredibly tight and professional band! They had rehearsed the set extensively beforehand to get the timing right. Again - total professionals. You can see Freddie's arm coming down to finish the last song exactly as the stage light turns red!
I love this rock song!! Penned by Brian literally referring to Grim Reaper’s Death Hammer! Rich or poor, death comes to us all. Brian commented that the lyrics are kinda tongue-in-cheek! The song regained popularity when it was featured in the popular TV series “Stranger Things Season Two: The Spy”.
