one day I was showing my niece (7yrs old) some Queen songs (you know, educating her) and playing random videos just to listen the songs. then this vocal only video came up. I thought "she will not be interested, is not a regular song" (although is one of her faves because of the video). For my surprise she was completely hypnotized listening to this, even with all the long blank spaces.
@Freya Johnson No, he is 4 octaves (confirmed by Montserrat Caballé). A really big range, considering that my 3 octaves and 2 notes are already a good range
I want to break free I want to break free I want to break free from your lies You're so self satisfied I don't need you I've got to break free God knows, God knows I want to break free. I've fallen in love I've fallen in love for the first time And this time I know it's for real I've fallen in love, God knows, God knows I've fallen in love. It's strange but it's true, yeah I can't get over the way you love me like you do But I have to be sure When I walk out that door Oh how I want to be free, baby Oh how I want to be free, Oh how I want to break free. But life still goes on I can't get used to, living without, living without, Living without you by my side I don't want to live alone, hey God knows, got to make it on my own So baby can't you see I've got to break free. I've got to break free I want to break free, yeah I want, I want, I want, I want to break free.
@AlbertoGaleazzo there is, if you get them from a proper 5.1 mix with the right software. Usually the voice is at the centre channel and it's possible to extract it clearly. The problem is that drums and bass are also mixed in the centre most of the times... extracting just the voice from the final mix is nearly impossible though.
For those of you ...like me....who want to play along on acoustic guitar...this is the long middle instrumental from the album....not the single. I was about a second out....not bad
This really is the best song ever made. Of course I'm nowhere near that perfection, but here's my take on it. An instrumental version only :savanaviolenta.bandcamp.com/track/i-want-to-break-free-instrumental-version-2
