I have a lot of respect for the Dutch Royal Family due to Queen Wilhemina's actions during the Nazi occupation of her country during World War 2 when she took to wearing the Star of David on her clothing to stand along with her Jewish subjects. Queen Maxima seems like a great sport. I do wish all U.S. military training exercises I was in had ended in a shot of Schnaps at the finish.
Who says that they didn't, well at least not officially.... but for the time I was in Germany, we did ended military exercises with a shot of schnapps. Schnapps, whiskey, jägermeister, beer, rum and anything else we could find....!

Most royalty would barely show up to hear a briefing, but to put on a uniform, then battle gear and actually go out and spend a day with the soldiers doing what they do, and actually seeing how the military operates and performs.... that is FIRST RATE! ! ! The point has already been made, but if you study the lead picture, you have 2 male soldiers, one that appears to be holding her up, or keeping her from falling and everyone is smiling, she with the BIGGEST grin. This is a HUGE problem. In war, close quarters, EVERYONE has to carry their own weight. Everyone HAS TO function on their own, as part of a team. If not, the TEAM breaks down, people get hurt or KILLED necessarily, and the mission may fail. Having female in line units, can increase the male tendency to protect a female. Additionally, war is a young persons game...top physical condition, young flexible minds, able to think quickly...and massive amounts of redundant training, to minimize the need to 'over think.' Not sure the Queen has had all of this. The number one trait that makes a good soldier is the ability to Tolerate Deprivation. The second trait is the ability to follow orders...under great stress, or duress. This is not my opinion, but Napoleons. Again, I'm not sure the Queen can suffer Deprivation or Take Orders without asking "WHY?" That will get you killed...and likely someone else. I'm not saying women can't serve as front line soldiers, the world has also known female warriors. Israel uses them, the Kurds use them, and they scare they 💩 out of male ISSI fighters. It's just that one needs to understand and truly accept that Soldiering is most often a very grim business.
Voor soldaat Moeskops en Dennis , scheren bij zo'n bezoek c.q. kennismaking met onze koningin is er tegenwoordig ook niet meer bij. En etiketten zijn er ook niet want je hoort niet het initiatief te nemen om je zelf voor te stellen aan onze koningin.
Maakt het uit? Daarnaast, er waren duidelijk mariniers aanwezig op die boot en ponton dus je kan het beter zien als een militaire dag voor Maxima dan een landmachtdag. Het is allemaal een kwestie van perspectief lijkt me!
@@corjp Ik zag toch duidelijk marine uniformen voorbij komen! En ook genie, en commando's enz... Wat ik eigenlijk al bedoelde met een militaire dag. Er was een combinatie aan personeel en niet maar 1 eenheid of onderdeel. Maar goed, Ik begreep gewoon niet helemaal waarom de opmerking gemaakt moest worden. Helemaal in het licht waar defensie voor staat. Als je uitgezonden bent geweest in oorlogstijd en in de wederopbouwfase van een land, elke dag de oorlog in Oekraïne volgt en vervolgens zo een opmerking over een muziekstukje hoort in een impressieverhaal over Maxima, komt het op mij over als een futiliteit waar niemand op zit te wachten. Er zijn zo extreem veel belangrijkere dingen in het leven als de "juiste toepassing" van een muziekstukje in een impressieverhaaltje. En dan ook nog steeds een discutabele juistheid! Ik hoop dat je dat wel kan zien en begrijpen waarom ik de zin van de opmerking niet helemaal kan zien!
@@corjp Moet ik nog wel opmerken dat het feit dat je je druk maakt om zoiets een indruk geeft dat je enorm weinig hebt meegemaakt en aan je hoofd hebt. Wat weer aangeeft dat we blij kunnen zijn met hoe wij tot nu toe beschermt zijn tegen alle horrors die de mensheid kent en regelmatig ook mensen overkomt in andere delen van de wereld! Het feit dat dit een ding kan zijn is dus misschien wel weer heel goed. We leven in een gezegend land op dit moment.

Start with the Russians 😂 the USSR stockpile of weapons have nothing good left only some older stuff in bad shape there need a lot of work, in some months the flow will have dried almost all up which means they have the normal produce left which is very low Russia is not the USSR, that’s going to grind them down in gear, the Russian demographic was among the worst before the war, it had so few young people now a large part of the young men are dead handicapped or workers in countries like mine where they earn minimum 66.000 euros a year, do you think they want to go back to Russia and risk getting drafted? The Russians have started, they are working hard in the North Sea offshore oil and gas platforms which are very busy because Russia is not in the market so we get lots of money, Norway 10 times more 😳 they where already top 1-2 in the world now they are definitely going to be the richest country in the world probably getting to 2 trillion dollars in their saving account 😮
In Denmark they are expected to be the highest ranked in the military so our king is a frogman which is like the US navy seals, we only have around 120 active, don’t think he still is but it’s classified who is but his 52 years old and has been focusing on the military leadership role, it’s always been the tradition that the king is a soldier and leader of the military, luckily he’s is bad as and a marathon runner too, but if his sons are not like him we might have a problem which has always been one of the biggest problems with monarchy that sometimes you get a total clown in the roll but this time we where lucky, his grandfather was also a warrior by hart. But not everyone in history has been so 😱 but it’s only the military the king has no say in politics
