@@VLP465 I think this song is a kind of magnet for comments like this. I mean yea I can understand we should for example also say something about the little piano solo near the end, but right at the start Roger catches your attention.
@@VLP465 You know, in the ''I'm going Slightly mad, I'm Going Slightly mad, It finally happens happens'' These low notes that Freddie hits in that part are simply my normal Talk Voice. Oh and true, I didn't notice of how soft he actually sung.
I continued to feel loyalty and affection for Queen even as their work became less compelling. Their first two albums were the best, but I wouldn't have discovered them if not for "Bohemian Rhapsody" which remains unparalleled to this day. Their 80s albums included some gems along with the foot stomper stadium anthems.
@@lepi7921 First three, though. The fourth had The Prophet's Song and Bohemian Rhapsody, maybe Death on Two Legs but, apart from those, not really very progressive. {:o:O:}
@@naomi-pl1wg *_"most of their songs are all of them singing together"_* No they're not. John Deacon did not sing at all until maybe later on in the '80s, even if videos showed him miming the words. Unless by "all of them" you mean Freddie, Roger and Brian, then yes, all three sang on most of them. Some of Roger's and Brian's songs were just them, Melancholy Blues and a few others were just Freddie. {:o:O:}
@@VLP465 Well I know that you're obsessed with Freddie. Appreciate everyone . Whats the difference between You and Prenter. FYI Even fred used to sing high in the 70s
@@user-cb2gu1sw9w Relax. Cold mind. Analyze slowly, yes ?. All right. Don't obsess only with high voices, read me well, because They are still Men. You don't want an enemy.🦊
""My Fairy King" was the first Queen song to feature Mercury's piano skills. Guitarist Brian May said of the song's recording: "This was the first time we'd really seen Freddie [Mercury] working at his full capacity. He's virtually a self-taught pianist, and he was making vast strides at the time, although we didn't have a piano on stage at that point because it would have been impossible to fix up. So, in the studio was the first chance Freddie had to do his piano things and we actually got that sound of the piano and the guitar working for the first time which was very exciting. 'My Fairy King' was the first of these sort of epics where there were lots of voice overdubs and harmonies. Freddie got into this, and that led to 'The March Of The Black Queen' on the second album and then 'Bohemian Rhapsody' later on."
This Queen period was great , Misterios, new , risky and musically rich and beautiful... too advanced and complicated for the masses at that time but all of those changes they did made them interesting and did get the attention from people even if the press and media put them down and didn't give them much credit or publicity like other bands which some of them were great but not majestic... rarities and their hits and unique sound made them always have the attention and here they are now still sound right even without making new material their music lives on because there's no been another band like Queen since or after them
Being a guitarist and vocalist when I was young, I remember the first time I heard this album. I was 16 and at the time had a 3 1/2 octave range myself. I found I was just a few notes shy of doing a good enough job to do a Queen song. Loved these guys and their music was so beautiful.
I bought this album in the mid-70s, saw Queen in '78. It says BBC Sessions but I can't tell much of a difference, if any, from the original track. Then again I haven't heard it in quite a while.
I'm 100% convinced that this guy was a freakin genius, damn that extraordinary mixture and blend of fantasy, folklore, mythology & music put all together is undoubtedly epic. QUEEN SURE IS FOR EVERYONE just as Freddie said.. Gotta love his style and musical mindset as well! 💜✨🥀
Odio que solo hables de agudos. Esto es muy bonito que hombres hagan esto y me gusta. Pero si te apetecen mas agudas escucha solo a Montsy Caballe y solo mujeres y ya esta!!!. Agudos agudos agudos. Siempre igual.
This is the song from where he took his name Mercury because of the line "Oh mother Mercury, look what they've done to me". He said to Brian "This is me in this song and my mother is called Mercury, so I'll be Freddie Mercury"
Me encanta esta canción. Lo visualizo todo. Y los caballos, los jinetes, el rio. Era como el paraiso, hasta q llego el ser humano...y lo fastidió todo. 😢adoro esta cancion....y never more...❤❤❤❤
Lyrics: Aah, aah In the land where horses born with eagle wings And honey bees have lost their stings There's singing forever, ooh yeah Lion's den with fallow deer And rivers made from wine so clear Flow on and on forever Dragons fly like sparrows thru' the air And baby lambs where Samson dares To go on on on on on on My fairy king can see things He rules the air and turns the tides That are not there for you and me Ooh yeah he guides the winds My fairy king can do right and nothing wrong Ah, then came man to savage in the night To run like thieves and to kill like knives To take away the power from the magic hand To bring about the ruin to the promised land, aah, aah They turn the milk into sour Like the blue in the blood of my veins Why can't you see it Fire burning in hell with the cry of screaming pain Son of heaven set me free and let me go Sea turn dry, no salt from sand Seasons fly no helping hand Teeth don't shine like pearls for poor man's eyes, aah Someone, someone has drained the colour from my wings Broken my fairy circle ring And shamed the king in all his pride Changed the winds and wronged the tides Mother Mercury Mercury Look what they've done to me I cannot run, I cannot hide La la la la la la la la la la la la

Overdubs all over the place. In fact I would say a lot of it is just excerpts from the studio recording so as "Bri" would say, don't kid yourself "folks".
