The Night-blooming Cereus is one of my favorite flowers it only blooms once at night and then closes up by the next morning, these amazing flowers are some of natures most beautiful specimens. Selenicereus grandiflorus is a cactus species originating from the Antilles, Mexico and Central America. The species is commonly referred to as queen of the night, night-blooming cereus. The true species is extremely rare in cultivation. It is actually quite easy to propagate this plant by cuttings if you live in the proper cold hardiness zone. It doesn't like temperatures below freezing, but if you live in a tropical zone with little to no freezing temperatures you can simply cut a section bury the cut end and prop it up against a live Oak tree and it will slowly climb up the tree.
