Queen - One Vision - Wembley 1986 - Brian cam - First Time Reaction !! 

Even though you can always hear Brian playing throughout the songs, it is easy to get distracted by Freddie's energy. This camera really lets you see exactly how much Brian is responsible for the soul of the song. Queen was very aware that the movement of each member of the band was responsible for how the audience reacted and perceived their performance, so all those moves and postures are part of the show and while not technically scripted, they are practiced. Brian has spoken on this very topic in some of his interviews. Mary originally tried to convince Freddie that his things and Garden Lodge should be a museum but Freddie said absolutely not, he wanted none of that. Freddie adored auctions and this was his favorite auction house so it is fitting that this is how his things should be disbursed. I am fairly certain that Garden Lodge will be sold now that it is empty of all of it's contents. Mary said it was time to let it go and she is in her 70s so once she passes there would be no one to care for all of it anymore. It is all hers, Freddie left it all to her so she should do as she believes Freddie would want. She has cared for it all very well for over 30 years. She moved out of Garden Lodge to a smaller place very near it several years ago and she has said that she has put everything up for auction, holding back nothing as she felt that is how it should be handled. I suppose that personal gifts that Freddie gave her for Christmas, birthdays, etc., she has kept but all that is being auctioned is Freddie's stuff that he left to her as a whole package so she could live in Garden Lodge. He considered Mary as his Common Law Wife, telling her if things had worked out the way he had planned, she would have bee his wife and all of it would have been hers anyway. I support Mary 100% in this, she has certainly earned the right to retire. Now people can own and love these things as Freddie did instead of them just sitting in a house with no purpose gathering dust and requiring constant care. Some will buy because they love the item, some will buy because they love Freddie and some will buy because they think it is a good investment. If any of the band members want any of it, they certainly have the financial ability to be the highest bidder but I have heard nothing by any of them as to having any interest in that. Brian has Freddie's touring piano in his studio in Surrey, John has an electric piano that Freddie gave him and Roger has a giant statue of Freddie in his garden at his country home, so I am sure they are all fine with it . I think she's doing it as she's in her 70s now and wanting his things to go in good hands. Shes kept everything for so long so it must be hard for her to do what's she's doing. Maybe knowing people will spend alot of money for his stuff it will be looked after. It's all guess work I suppose. I went a week ago and looked at it all it was emotional. Brian didn't move very much on stage in the early years. In later Queen stadium, he ran across the stage and made poses. He actually still does it

Queen just FANTASTIC, they amaze me. I've seen these things over and over and I come back and there they are again. Brilliant band.

The shoes : Yes, Freddie and Brian were both wearing Adidas wrestling boots - they both liked the thin and flexible soles, while still having the ankle supporting high-tops. I’m not sure what Roger wore at the drums. John’s shoes were more like true tennis shoes/ trainers. He danced around and bounced a lot, and preferred more cushioning and firmness in the soles for that I suppose. Brian’s “theatrical” presentation: He wasn’t always like that. Early on, he moved very little and didn’t “pose” much - in fact, Freddie could sometimes get a bit frustrated because Brian wasn’t giving him the interaction he wanted… But it was because *Brian was rather shy* and kind of hid behind his guitar playing. He said he “learned how to make rockstar poses” based on the audience reactions to what he/they did. (Just like John wasn’t always the dancing Disco Deaky on stage either… both of them had to build up to *become* rockstars.)

Love that there are cameras everywhere so they focus on each of them individually you're bound to catch Freddie in action on all of them because he was everywhere all at once 😂 It shows how important each of them were to the band and to each other.

I've seen the Deaky and Roger cams, but didn't know this existed. Fascinating to see Brian throughout the entire song - loved it!

Hap! Great to see you! I never noticed he and Freddie were wearing the same shoes. They often had similar taste in clothing. In the early days, they used to switch jackets with each other for videos. I imagine the demand for comfortable shoes grew with the stage design and distance they had to travel across the stage. Yes, Brian has always done the theatrical moves and he makes the motions huge so everyone can see even in the back. You should check out Deacy's cam too. He's pretty much dancing the whole time. Yeah, I think I have a serious problem...Because I can't concentrate on anything else when Freddie appears on the screen, even in a small square like here, lol His charisma just draws you in. So, I'll just have to watch again...😊 With Queen it's so easy anyway.

The auction was not everything, but there was a bit of a squabble about Freddie leaving everything, including his royalties, to include Mary (Brian and Roger were not happy, they didn't mind his family, which just involves his sister atm)... I was kind of expecting you to just be watching the small screen 😉 IF my memory serves (and the odds are?) I think Brian sometimes moves around a lot and sometimes doesn't. Guess it's whatever mood he's in? Certain songs? Hmm. Maybe I'll have to go watch a bunch of Queen stuff......just for research of course.... I've given up on the auction. I had about 10-15 things that I was willing to pay a certain amount of money for. All have gone way over that budget! There is a silver napkin ring that is one of the cheapest items for example. (Not on my list) It was expected to go for 20-30. It's over 1200 already! Not the trinkets or the wine glasses but so many other things in that auction that are emotional. Hopefully someone with the budget to buy these things has the respect for the items that they deserve. Mary has said that Freddie told her he didn't want his things put in a museum (although not sure why?) so yes. I do believe it's age and the fact that she left all his things as he had them in the house. It's time. This way she has some control....although minimal. I do like that on each item (that I've looked at) it does say this at the bottom: "This lot is being sold for private use only. No right to reproduce or otherwise commercially exploit the copyright or other intellectual property in the lots is included with the sale of lot. Queen Productions Limited and Queen Music Limited and other rights holders reserve all their rights.." Oh look. I'm written a book again....

This video was great, like you said I have seen dozens of times but focused mainly on Brian was great. The interaction between him and John was also good to see. I also have wondered about the auction but just recently I saw an interview with Mary and she was saying that Freddie preferred his stuff to go to auction rather than museum. Not sure if that is total truth but her decision!

Hard to swallow the auction of Freddie's stuff, if it were just art stuff it would make sense, but even personal items from someone as private as Freddie is weird. Many buyers will put it on display so why not donate it to the Freddie museum in Zanzibar or just keep it in storage?

Sorry about that, anyway, "the true QUEEN FANS", know she doesn't, need the money, however, I, would hope the other guys, would make a deal with her, and open a museum like what was done with ELVIS and GRACELAND. IF I had the money and lived over there, I would move there for about 6 months, and do EXACTLY THAT. IT'S hurts my heart to know that just because fans can't afford to buy some things, (me beinging) 1, after all Freddie did for her and how much he is still loved, just aggravates me, she needs to make it into a museum. Freddie and Brian are wearing Adidas Hercules wrestling boots. I don't think Roger or John wore them. They are no longer made, unfortunately. Can't remember exactly but they sold for a great deal of money. Brian is most fond of clogs but the trainers are much better for performing. Roger kids him about opening a clog factory! Also, Freddie was quite a boxer in boarding school, until his mum was not happy about it. I think that shows in how he moves.
