Totally agree. This performance is better than Bad Company ever did it. Powerful drumming from Roger, sublime guitar play from Brian and an unmistakable vocal from Paul "The Voice" Rodgers. Simply stunning.
@Don Avan well, put it this way: When Mr. Steve Walsh and Mr. Ronny James Dio and Mr. Ian Gillan single him out to be the "one" , i believe that is recognition enough.
Love the Roger Taylor drum sound, fantastic. Anyone slaggin' Roger needs their head read, he is an amazing musician, not to mention killer vocalist in his own right. This is a great rendition, nice work from Brain May as well.
Damn! This is incredible!!! I'm one of the people that didn't want to hear Queen with Paul. And avoided hearing anything by them until just today. How wrong I was, completely dead wrong. Paul isn't trying to replace Freddie. No one ever could, obviously. But Paul's voice is still amazing. And it's just awesome that they did this song live. An amazing performance that sends chills up my spine.
Paul Rodgers was Freddie's favorite rock vocalist. Imagine if Freddie had lived.. There might have been a collaboration much like the collaboration with David Bowie. Think about that for a minute.
I went to one of these shows in Dublin on this tour. Roger Taylor's drums were the loudest noise I've ever heard in my life!!! And Paul Rodgers is the GOAT!

Paul Rodgers has not lost ONE IOTA of his amazing talent since the first time I heard him sing, "All Right Now" with Free...As a matter of fact, I think he has gotten better, if that's even possible. I love his voice, his presence, his ability to make me forget what's bothering me every single time I listen to him sing anything from Free, Bad Co or any of his later reincarnations....Keep on Rockin' Paul...

This is great! Brian May and Paul Rodgers are something ver special in rock music, like Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Please Reunite! Thanks for posting this wonderful video!
When I was in the U.S. Army 1979-1988, while stationed in Korea, this was my buddies and our theme song, being 18 year old soldiers with a few drinks in them, nothing brought us closer than Bad Co.'s BAD COMPANY...This version is CLASSIC, as two of my favorite bands collide to re-do my favorite Soldier/Buddy song of all-time...God Bless Paul Rodgers, God Bless Freddie Mercury & God Bless Brian May & Roger Taylor!!!
A very Happy 72nd Birthday Paul Bernard Rodgers, December 17th 1949 Middlesbrough, Yorkshire also, a Canadian citizen. From Free to Bad Company to The Firm to The Law to Queen and of course your solo work.. Your a rock music Icon. Thank you for being born today..
I know what you mean yeah, technically Bruce is better, wider range like you say and even opera singer-ish voice (to me he's the best metal singer for sure) but I just connect more with Freddie. Sounds like he has more soul when singing.
There's a reason this lineup is called Queen Plus Paul Rodgers people. It was not meant to a Queen reincarnation. Paul has a great voice (esp for a guy in his 60's) and in no way disrespected Freddie.Different voices. BTW Paul was Freddie's favourite singer. Anyway the crowd got to hear some bloody great songs played and sung well.

To sing with a voice that tugs on your heartstrings and ignites your soul, as if the universe is being carried to each one by every note. What a gift, thank you for sharing it with us all.

By chance I met Paul Rodgers in Siam Riep, Cambodia. I accidentally said he looked like Eric Clapton. Lol Told him I was a huge Queen fan and he asked me if I knew Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy at which I said yes. He got up from the outside bar and sang the song with me. THAT is a true fan of Queen!! Yep, I should have taped it but I feel like it's a bother for the other person.
Paul Rodgers still rocks... This man is the number one singer in Rock music.. ( I love him since Free... ) Although Freddie is a great performer.... Paul is a real (hard/blues)rocker....

Was lucky enough to see BC in Jan '76(D/FW) with Ted Nugent as the opener just coming off the Stranglehold wave. Then saw PR with Jimmy Page & The Firm in Houston in '85. Great stuff.
Queen with Lambert is a karaoke band. Queen is my favourite band even with Rodgers but Lambert...that's not Queen. Freddie looked up to Rodgers when Freddie was starting out. Queen with Rodgers meant something. Lambert...no...

Had the great good fortune hear this when I saw Queen and Paul Rodgers in Glasgow a few years ago. Only one word describes it - EPIC!!! Queen? What can you say? Paul Rodgers? Only the best rock singer EVER!!!
Я был на этом концерте у нас! Это был самый потрясающий концерт из всех который я посетил, за всю свою жизнь! I was at this concert with us! It was the most amazing concert I have attended in my entire life!
Damn brilliant professionals! No false sound ! No mastering or any post process required. :-) Mr Rodgers - very special and rare compound of perfection and definitely top genius.

Thanks again. 2016 really sucked I lost my father, a best friend and my cat. Not to mention all the great musicians. Hoping 2017 will be much better. Take care.
You mean THE OLD DRUMMER who came up with the most recognised drum riff in music history i.e we will rock you LMAO one of the greatest drummers in history. :)
Excellent interpretation of the classic song. Brian May gives some sweeping chords BUT stays true to the original while Roger Taylor pounds away. Paul Rodgers is as soulful as ever. His voice is sublime!
I was lucky enough to see queen and Paul Rodgers at Hyde park a week after the london bombings. I don't remember much as I was extremely drunk but I woke up feeling like if seen something special. Amazing musicians.
You can judge people by the music they recognize. If they see how good Paul Rodgers is, they are probably OK. If they think he's unremarkable, they are not what you want.
I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED PAUL RODGERS AND HAVE SEEN HIM IN ALOT OF DIFFERENT BANDS. HIS VOICE IS AS GOOD TODAY IF NOT BETTER THAN WHEN HE WAS IN FREE.. MARRY ME, PAUL OR AT LEAST LET'S JUST HAVE ALOT OF LONG WET KISSES, THE KIND A SOUTHERN GIRL GIVES YOU AND WHATEVER ELSE....I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT I RESPECT YOU AS AN ARTIST BUT JUST CAN'T HELP THE CARNAL KNOWLEDGE!!! LOVE YOU MY FRIEND.,,,,,CINDY FROM MEMPHIS..
Liza Minnelli said of k d land and Roy Orbison singing "Crying" together that it was the best performance anyone will ever see. Performances like that are truly rare. This one with Rogers and Queen is such a performance. There is not a missed note, perfection in arrangement, and total talent and dedication to the art. The slow introduction is a lesson in "It's not what you play, but what you don't play, and when you don't play it." Outstanding.
I love the fact that the older musicians are out rocking it. Older people in America get nothing but disrespect and this is so wrong. They have so much to offer. I particularly love it when you get inter-generational musicians from the same family, such as Derek Trucks and his father, Butch Trucks; very kewl. I hope we see more of this. Let's keep the music alive!!!
We've Lost so many Great Artist over the years ..to to many to mention ....I thank the good heavens above for keeping this voice from"~ FREE : Originally ~~ alive & well and still allowing us to hear him Sing ! One of a kind ....peace !
