I'd sit alone and watch your light My only friend through teenage nights And everything I had to know I heard it on my radio You gave them all those old time stars Through wars of worlds invaded by Mars You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry You made us feel like we could fly. Radio. So don't become some background noise A backdrop for the girls and boys Who just don't know or just don't care And just complain when you're not there You had your time, you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour Radio, Radio. All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio blah blah Radio, what's new? Radio, someone still loves you! We watch the shows, we watch the stars On videos for hours and hours We hardly need to use our ears How music changes through the years. Let's hope you never leave old friend Like all good things on you we depend So stick around 'cause we might miss you When we grow tired of all this visual You had your time, you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour Radio, Radio. All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio blah blah Radio, what's new? Someone still loves you! Radio ga ga [3x] You had your time, you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour Radio, Radio.
Ikr! When I was young I used to listen to this song just for the instrumentals (0:00, 2:36 and 5:00). This was until I discovered queen and appreciated the singing as well.
Everyone is talking about the chords in 5:00, those are awesome. One part I love just as much is at 2:07. the guitar can barely be heard in the non-instrumental, so i just love hearing it here. the lighter piano in 3:48 is awesome too. All round underappreciated song.
Juan, once ago I was listening to this instrumental and I was dreaming about if Bri used a 12 string or some kind of octave pedal to create this sound that is phenomenal. I think it's a pity that in the 80s Freddie stopped playing piano on songs. Radio Ga Ga it's a case of a simple piano arrangement that works beautifully. Brian's slide guitar here is fantastic
Underappreciated song? It was Top Ten in 19 countries, Number 1 on 9 of them. It is music history. Known to everyone from 10-99 years old. It's not underappreciated at all, it's just long ago...
Fun fact: the drummer, Roger Taylor, who wrote this song, repeatedly hit the hi-hit of the drums to create that maraca sound in the percussion, stopping every 6 or so seconds to make that rising hi-hit sound.
Me encantan esos 20" de música! La otra vez le preguntaba a un amigo fanático de Queen si sabía quién había compuesto o producido esos 20"!!! Yo lo loopearia y disfrutaría mucho...
@@GaiusOctavius4 actually , some people think someone else wrote this master piece , cause roger said that radio gaga its very hard for him , its a master piece any ways
Only found on the 12" vinyl, I don't think it's ever been released on CD, hopefully in 2024 for the 40th Anniversary of The Works album it will be included.
Комментарий будет на русском. Этот трек частенько с утра и вечерком по местному радио крутили, когда мне было меньше 6 лет, просыпался под неё и ложился спать. Прям.... слов нет. Одни эмоции...
i loved this song, and i got ecstatic when i heard it while playing gta 5 for the 1st time. i just drove on the highway, listening to it. simpler times.
