Phil great video buddy , I have attempted a couple of times to graft without much success, I think the larvae I may have damaged or wrong age , not sure , I’m still learning , I will try again this spring when the drones are flying again , I have Italians but I really like the carniolans , there so quiet and wow lay eggs like no other , I tried one last year and she just filled the beehive crazy in no time, very placid bees my Italians need regular queen changes to keep hives strong they seem to go off laying well about 2 years I noticed so I make them make new queens regularly now , I like new queens , they lose there ability to keep up after a while I find.
Great video! Thank you. Is it possible you could also do a video about Drones in relation to your Queen grafting program. Ex. timing of Drone hatch in spring for mating, how many needed?
How long are you comfortable Leaving your graphs and larve out before you put it back into the cell builder or even before you return the frame back to the colony? Are you getting good takes with that length of time?
