I like how the queens guards say both, "Stand back and the don't touch the reins" and use their horse to see off the tourist. I feel like the guards are slightly softer since becoming the kings guards, but not of their own choice. This country is too scared to "Offend" people these days so the tourists get away with a bit more lately, it must be frustrating for the guards to have to hold back at times.
Tourists need to realize these guards are not there for their pleasure! Whether or not the tourists are there, the guards will be standing watch. I firmly believe a guide needs to be put around them to keep these people at a distance. But something the guards could get around, if needed. Sad something like that needs to be done.
It’s true. In the middle of the night, while we’re all tucked cozily in our beds, the Kings guards are still keeping their vigil. Nobody ever thinks about that, as they’re making every effort to reduce these highly trained professionals into selfies… Just like our guards at Arlington, the King’s Guard will rightfully, only take so much 💩.
There should be a white line for each guard at least 10ft away. Nobody should be touching the horse or the reins. In today's world it's essential. I cant understand why that's not being done. There is only so much these guards can do with crowds like this. especially when people are so blatantly disrespectful, and rude and think its a joke. Unbelievable

Excellent compilation Buska TY, the only thing that has changed is the escalation of Idiots continuing to deliberately grab the reins. The level of stupidity is there but seem now to be a game with many now to either get away with it or get a shout and possible charge so they get it on camera. Either way the entitled are happy and laugh about it sadly it must be close now to fines or no touching at all will happen, which is a shame for all who do respectfully stand at a safe distance and get their photo with dignity and manners. Not everyone speaks or understand English . If they were serious about it , the warning would be in. Many languages . The truth is , the guards are very arbitrary and allow things , then don’t even if the tourist is two meters away . It’s all show . The real security is not these clownesque guards .
This compilation was outstanding! ❤ Since no one seems capable of giving due respect and observing proper distance, I'd LOVE to see EVERY GUARD immediately "address" (SHOUT and or move the horse) at these people grabbing the reins, touching the guards themselves, or crowding the horses. "Subtlety" (merely tuuging the reins away or nudging with a boot) is wasted on these people, and it's well past time of worrying about whether some entitled tourist is offended over being yelled at. Too many are taking the "don't touch the reins" as some sort of "challenge" to elicit a response. Well, moving a 1700+ pound animal at them along with a a huge shout will deter much of it, but needs to be followed up with a visit (very stern words at the least) from the armed policemen, and the tourists immediate removal from the ENTIRE area.
It's a public footpath in Whitehall , unless they have committed a crime which they haven't they can't be removed . The police are MOD police so a stern word is all they can do . I do agree though some want their own 15 minutes of fame or infamy !
I really feel for the guards and the horses. It's literally written in big letters next to him. Don't touch the reins!! Geez, the number of people that do it, get shouted at, and go back to do it again!!
At 1:18 the lady guard is my favorite one! She’s a no nonsense lady, very protective of her mount, and never shy for a good shout whenever it’s needed. Even with the new sign, there’s always an imbecile to hang him/herself by shear stupidity or to provoque a reaction from the guard for the amusements for their friends.
No wonder tourists don’t behave: it is a circus. Ok for the costumes, horses etc… but there should be a a space around the guard and horse, not permitted for tourists: take a photo, not near.

Don't understand anyone grabning ahold of the reins, do they grab ahold of steering wheels while other people drive? Same outcome, they take control of the horse or car. Both actions very dangerous and unacceptable. People have no common sense anymore.
I just caught this. The guy at 0.50 time stamp, who grabs the chain, is in another video with a different guard and horse doing the same thing. He was all about the attention and seeing what he could get away with. What a POS!
This is the best of the worst videos. No one cares or pays respect to the guards. They think it's funny to grab the reins and just walk off with them. Its a shame they have to scream at the people to make them STOP 🛑.
