I took an afternoon walk from the Queen Sirikit MRT, Bangkok area to Sukhumvit and the Terminal 21 area.
Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

G'day Joe and after watching your videos for the past month,, I will be getting around Bangkok a lot better than I had been in the past. They're so enlightening and informative to not just be for retirees but also the vacationers. This time I'm heading to Koh Samui via Bangkok on the Seahorse Ferry which I was wondering have you ever thought of doing a video on that ship as I saw a guy's video where he boarded it before departure and let people know about it. Any whooz thanks again for your wonderful insight to this great city of Bangkok and I look forward to seeing many more. Have a ripper day mate and have a good one.😀👍🙏

Hey, I appreciate you watching. I saw that boat was back in service. Sure, I'd give it a try. But, it's a nice easy flight. I think the boat is 9 hours? But I'm not sure. I've done the ferry between Krabi and Phuket. Maybe it's time to go back to sea. I'm an old Navy guy.

You have been e on tear with these videos, Joe. You have been releasing them every day lately. I am not complaining though. Its great content as always.

Ha ha, not just lately. Daily video (sometimes two) since May of last year. Compared to getting up and going to work, these videos are easy. I'm out walking 5 miles a day. I'll just take a camera phone along. It takes an hour or so to edit. I usually edit three videos watching a few long movies. Keeps me out of Stella's every night. I only go every other night. Ha ha

Thanks for another informative walking tour, Joe. As a new arrival to Sukhumvit, it’s always good to learn more about my neighbourhood and surrounding soi’s. Appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos. Hope to bump into you one day at O’Shea’s, Stella’s Bar or anywhere they sell a cold San Miguel. Cheers, mate

Stay in a nice condo or rent a townhome for four on Thonburi side of the city (the other side of the River) and save money galore. Plus, so much less touristy. Peace and calm with lower cost of living.
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 19 дней назад
Yes, it's popular. I've done a video on every train stop over there. I prefer the hustle and bustle. Even in expensive Phrom Phong, my rent is 25% of San Diego

My comment is a couple videos behind, but that Dwell on 26 seemed like a good little place.
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 20 дней назад
I was ready to move in to Dwell. Then we walked across to Condo One. For $110 more a month I got 52m. Today it's maybe $200 a month, but I'm locked in for 2 more years. If they had raised the rent, Dwell was where I would have started my search.

@@EagerExpat You ended up with a great place with an excellent view in a fabulous area. Goals.
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 20 дней назад
@@Marinate305 Ya, I never had a downtown view in California. I've had a bunch over here. I'd rather have the condo I want. The pool, gym, etc.. If the condo is on the 5th floor and $150 less, that's fine. Don't get me wrong, the view is cool. But, it sure wouldn't be worth $300 more to me. A low rise building has much to offer.

i still cant figure out this rama 4 area,, its an area i have never been to. i seem to get things done on the odd number side 15,17, 21,23, crossing them roads is crazy and there is barbed wire around Asoke to stop people crossing,,. walking them stairs in the heat to cross the road is a problem after a long day, but its better than being flattened by a car or truck coz they dont stop.

Ya, I live on Sukhumvit Soi 26. It runs between Sukhumvit and Rama 4. I spend as much time on Rama 4. It all depends on what you need. That is the closest Big C and Lotus if you hang out on the streets you mentioned. I'm lucky I'm a 6 minute walk to BTS Phrom Phong or Big C/ Lotus in the other direction. Check out the video I put out yesterday on Rama 4.

Do I need a 60 day eVisa (if no decision is made by Thai gov't beforehand) prior to arrival and then extend 30 more days if I choose or is the 60 day an option I'm able to knock all out at BKK upon arrival? US guy here..
@EagerExpat
@EagerExpat 20 дней назад
I never got a 60 day tourist visa, but that's an option from the US. You then will need to extend for another 30 here in Thailand. It's pretty simple and 1900b. Or you can pay an agent. I'm not sure 5000b maybe. I like to travel. So I would arrive on a 30 and then fly to KL or Vietnam for a few days. Take a look around. When you arrive back at BKK you get another 30. I guess you can get a 60 tourist visa, the new change may or may not ever happen. It's Thailand, things are proposed and shot down every month. Get a 60 in the US, take a trip abroad on day 59. Come back in a few days and get a fresh 30 days. I'd rather go see Cambodia then go to immigration for 3 hours.
