Oh... My... GOD!!! (read that in Janice' s voice) 😏😉 Forget "Will and Carlton" - and I just read it, by the way... This is the best description EVER!!! 👌🏻👍🏻😉💫💫🎉🎉🎉
Indeed the 72.000 tickets for this concert were sold out in a 3 hours. And this was without any annouce about other performers. Only three names were written on it: Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. People didn't know about Daltrey, Slash, Elton John, Axl and so on.
@4. hakem yeh I'm 13 and I mean my parents never pushed this music on me but obv they grew up in it so like it. I been playing guitar for about 4 years now, seen slash live earlier this year, seen queen live (and MET BRIAN MAY as long story short I live in Nottingham and before my dad got his job at university he was a gardener and was the gardener for Freddie mercurys sister Kash and her husband roger, this being a lit of time after Freddie died but before I was born so early 2000s I would guess , and we saw queen in nottigham in 2017 I think and roger managed to get us backstage for a few mins before the show and I got a photo with Brian and a signature - Brian is very very tall btw n my dad is 6 foot 3 but Brian seemed very tall to me. So yeh ig that wasnt rlly short ha
@@Shyniex339 yeah, he always has the look of "I don't want to be here right now", but there's a decent bit of footage of him jumping around and dancing to whatever they're playing, so he was definitely enjoying himself.
He wasn't the fucked up one in Gn'R at this concert - that was Duff. Duff immediately got off stage and collapsed. You can find an interview with him at this show and he can barely speak.
This performance meant the world to Slash, as he and Axl Rose both were huge fans of Queen Look in the thanks section of any Guns N Roses CD and you'll see Queen
That's exactly why I sometime wonder how the Fuck his solo are so imaginative............He technically can't see and holds his guitar totally wrong (much to low).........He must be a natural :-)
Actually Brian looked like he really really enjoyed that part of the concert. Usually when he plays guitar, he's really steady and calm, so much that sometimes you forget that he is is a rock musician. But here he put his whole body and soul into it, along with slash
This was great and also earlier on in the day when Brian played with Def Leppard for their rendition of Now I'm Here. I don't even like DL but they were all great for this concert
FIRSTLY, people tend to overlook just how much balls it took for Joe Elliot to get up there and be the first vocalist to perform with Queen after Freddie died and he did a fucking phenomenal job, man deserves a whole lotta respect for that, I know a lot of people sung with them that day, but to be the first... is courageous as hell. SECONDLY, there is something about watching Brian and Slash play together that is so fucking magnetising... it gives me chills every time, I could watch those two for a hundred hours straight and not grow tired, I have goose bumps from just watching them play and the chemistry they share as two of the best guitarists to come out of the 20th Century.
Def Leppard always had one thing going for them, they don’t back down in a bad situation (reminder there drummer is one armed and still probably better than half of all rock drummers)
Horror Stories Slash doesn't use crack ever. I don't know what you've been smoking. Slash is amazing and just because your garage band has been rejected doesn't mean you have to vent towards him
@Gerry Berry There are many that sound like Slash because people copy him. He isn't the best skill-wise, but when it comes to pure emotion, Slash is one of the greatest.
@Gerry Berry Bit of a late response, I wasn't notified about your reply 🙄 Slash's creativity is what makes him stand out for me. Yes, he's a bit sloppy live, but if you listen to his newer stuff, he still has brand new ideas and doesn't use the same riffs and licks all the time.
Kylo Fan Agreed. Plus the dude was always drunk, couldn’t even see, holds his guitar wrong all the time but still creates some of the greatest songs of all time in 5 minutes. There’s a reason Slash made it so big without the shredding and tapping craze. For sure a legend
Absolutely, It was great seeing him here, as sadly he only performed two more times with the remaining members of Queen before retiring in 1997. Personally I wish Queen had hung up their hat then but at least they keep Deacy in the loop about things.
What I love is the fact that despite it being a Queen song, Brian let Slash play, no ego, no "this is my song" drama just a professional giving a fellow professional the chance to light it up - and watching it enjoying it too!
you tend to find that the acts who have that snotty outlook to other acts performing with them are the ones who don’t survive long. its a cut throat business and the acts who are still with us from the 50s have been able to embrace fellow artists
During the willy waggling duels you do get the impression that They are both thinking “ if this is a competition, I’m gonna win!” Until right near the end. Slash goes up the scale, Brian grins and admits defeat. Fabulous stuff. I have watched this again and again, it is terrific fun.
2:07 I love how Brian is so excited to have Slash on stage, that he forgets he's supposed to play the first solo for a second. And when he gives slash the nod, and lets him know it's his time to rip, you can see how visibly excited he gets. A great moment in rock history that can never be truly replicated.
John Richard Deacon, being so composed and with that little smile. The guy was and still should be an amazing bass player. Hats off to you John for all your amazing work "and love" you put into Queen. 👍👍👍❤️
Deaky didnt wanted to play no more after Freddie's death, he was here just to honour Freddie and that is all, you can see he is sad and not the usual dancing deaky in all that show.
Your comment made me think. Crazy to think that if Freddy wasn’t missing Queen, GNR and Def Leppard weren’t be playing together so it’s a good thing that Freddy is missing and we sound thankful about it.
In the world that he didn't create that he would go through it ..That was his own making half man half beast whatever it's call itself is weird and pissed off and it called itself slash
Joe Elliott was the perfect person to sing this song and to be the first to sing with Queen as a frontman after Freddie..... must have been enormous pressure but he nailed it. Slash, well what can you say about him other than phenomenal.
If all you guys wanna talk about is who's better and who's not. Who's got more style, who's got more skill, who's got more emotion, then go comment on another fucking video cause all that shit's not needed here. At the time, this was all for Freddie. All the people who played this show, have all been influenced by Queen. Shut the hell up about "Slash being on stage next to Brian May is insulting." or all the lame crap, you can tell the look on Brian May's face that he was overjoyed that Slash joined them on this song and Slash gave it his fucking all, just like every performance he did. This is coming from both a Brian May and Slash admirer. Slash is a fucking beast. Brian May is a God damn legend. Stop with the fucking comparisons, and just enjoy the music.
02:37 Every time I try to smoke while playing guitar, I burn my hair out. I think only Slash can do that. Now I'm quit playing guitar, just focus on smoke.
Ahh man, that's how you open a rock concert, big hair, bright outfits, massive stage, excessive lighting, thumping tune and the biggest guys in rock just smashing it out together! Now what we got, not this that's for sure!
23 years ago today! Wow.Slash and Brian on stage together is incredible. Def Leppard should've covered this back in the day. Joe Elliott's no Freddie but his voice fits so well here.
If they are digned of being called artists 😂 I see them more as video poppets than artists lol ..real music art died at the end of the 90s but still some cool bands came out in the 2000s but we all know who the Leyends are :)
Alexandra Nakelski I agree with you.......the last concert I was at was Guns N Roses in Chicago in 2016. Instead of people checking out the great show, everyone on phone recording.....fuck that. I was there to see my all time favorite band.....the ex took 4 pics and two videos with me having a good time. I’ll never, ever forget that concert!!!!!!!
Ésto es MUSICA !!!!! La puta madre que lo parió!!!!! Qué músicos !!!!! Qué versión bien hecha y arrolladora !!!!! Piel de gallina y emoción , cuando veo ésto !!!!💥👏👏👏👏👏
Everybody is talking about Brian and Saul Hudson but nobody's talking about the perfect performance of Joe Elliott. This is so fucking amazing!!! Joe is a great singer, my favorite in fact!! Love Joe Elliott 😍❤️
Me emocioné un chingo JAJAJA, simplemente épico, Slash + Queen, un concierto sumamente épico y más me emociono ver a Brian may tan emocionado por tocar junto a Slash unos solos increíbles xd
I feel like a lot of people forget that Brian is an AMAZING SINGER!!! In addition to being an expert guitar player, songwriter, and astrophysicist! The man is literally a GENIUS!!!
