That's why the fan base is known as the Queen Army. There are so many fans, and new ones every day, when this man died in 1991 and still is taking on new fans. Queen is a one of a kind band. One thing that makes them unique, their sound in every performance live...is always perfectly balanced, one does not play over the other. You can hear each of them equally. They had a chemistry to this day in my opinion no other band has. Together they were brilliant, they allowed one another to shine, not just ine person was the focal point, there was no "leader" you'll notice in future live performances when it was time for say Brian to have a guitar solo, Freddie would step out of the light so all eyes would move on to Brian. All 4 were extremely intelligent if not actual geniuses that formed a band. Welcome to the Queen Army....it's a rabbit hole you won't want to come out of because they never disappoint!
Ahhh now you’ve done it you’ve opened the door to the QUEENDOM!! This song is my favorite as it is the fav of many Queen fans. The studio version & every live performance of this song touches the soul. Freddie wrote this song inspired by the queen of soul Aretha Franklin! All members of Queen are excellent musicians & all have been inducted into The Songwriters Hall of Fame & Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. The Queen journey is wonderful💗👑💫💗👑💫💗
I agree that this is the best performance, overall - but I still love the "White Queen" live at Odeon/ --- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f8usNj4x9NA.html
😂 Sorry have to laugh because you're another Person who's been blown away by this Song and this Live Performance by Queen also check out the song " SAVE ME " it's from the same show and by the way you are just totally Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍☘️☘️☘️☘️
Thanks so much, Loveth - this is indeed a great song -- Freddie wrote it as a tribute to Aretha Franklin - has a great "gospel" sound - the amazing thing is how the entire band participates -- I hope you will listen to more Queen -- if you have time and inclination, I think you would really like one of their very early songs... "White Queen" - another live version - but the interplay between the band members is astounding... anyway -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f8usNj4x9NA.html
Welcome to the world of Queen! 👋🏻 This is my all time favorite live performance 😍 The lead singer is Freddie Mercury. He was and still is a legend. He unfortunately passed away because of AIDS in 91 and he's still very missed ❤❤❤ He was so special and talanted and there never was or will be anyone like him. He's considered by many to be the world's greatest vocalist. The rest of the band is Brian May on guitar, John Deacon on bass and Roger Taylor on drums. They're all amazing ❤ I hope you continue reacting to more Queen. I suggest Bogemian Rhapsody. A timeless classic and you'll understand why when you check it out. The music video/studio version first though, and live later if you want. I love your hair btw 🥰
I saw Queen in 1977 back home in Florida. It remains the best concert I ever attended. It was like the band took the entire stadium into its' world for 2 1/2 hours, and then returned us back to Earth. I especially remember that, at the end of the concert, the audience was leaving the stadium with this glazed look of astonishment at what we had just experienced. You absolutely react to Queen at the Live Aid concert. Rolling Stone magazine called their performance "one of the best performances by any band in the 20th Century." Absolutely!! PLEASE do a reaction video of this performance!!!
Great reaction, it is great that you had an emotional connection to the song! Queen is a British rock band, but they really did any style of music, they are the 4th best selling artist of all time. They have often been voted as the best live band, and lead singing Freddie Mercury has often been chosen as the best vocalist of all time. From this same concert you should check out Save Me, Bohemian Rhapsody and Love Of My Life live at Montreal 1981. Another great performance that is a must see, is the White Queen - Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975.
Love it when a reactor actually notices and reacts to the Freddie cocked eyebrow howl. They need to make an emoji of a howling wolf in Freddie's honor. With a cocked eyebrow. 🤘💛
I love seeing the first time reactions to Queen. So many great songs but live is always the best choice. Please check out "Love of my life" live and of course, QUEEN at LIVE AID. Universally considered the greatest 20 minutes in rock and roll history
"Charming" and "tortured"...on the mark observations for a first time listen! Freddie Mercury (lead singer) described songs he wrote as emotional...all about love. Each band member wrote songs with a distinct style - collectively curating the Queen sound. After you see some of their other studio & live songs, be sure to include the best sampler ever - their set at 1985 Live Aid Concert (global benefit concert to end famine in Ethiopia). This band has it all and thrills everytime.

@@debramoore7513 Oh, Debra, I could have been the pole the night I met him in '74. I think about that, uh, missed opportunity more often than I'd like to admit. But, you know... It could've not been all that good and then... oh, what am I talking about? Whew! He was so beautifully handsome, and not a big star yet. On the other hand, he could've been awesome, broken my heart, and ruined it for everybody else for the rest of my life. 🔥😅😂
@@3ScotsInk Oh my Lord just to have Freddie break my heart would be something!! I have already spent time imagining the “would’ve could’ve should’ve’s” for you!! 🔥🔥 I melted when you mentioned Freddie’s eyes!! 😍😍
It’s down the QUEEN rabbit hole with you my dear, they are all legends, Freddie was asked what instrument he played, Freddie “the crowd”. Go watch radio ga ga live. Thanks for a great reaction
Great reaction! Bohemian Rhapsody next (Queen Official video) Then check out Another One Bites the Dust from this same concert. Who Wants to Live Forever & Under Pressure live at Wembley 1986. White Queen live at Hammersmith 1975. Then everything else recommended by other commenters. Queen never disappoints. Welcome to the family!
I love your reaction. Queen is Freddie Mercury - lead vocals and piano. Brian May - guitar and backing vocals. Roger Taylor - drums and backing vocals. John Deacon - bass guitar. You probably know some Queen songs but don't know they are Queen songs. You must watch Live Aid 1985, an all day charity concert. Queen stole the show. Their 20 minutes is voted the best live show ever. Bohemian Rhapsody is their most famous song. React to the official video that has over a billion views.❤️👑
@@yvrkid7070 Oh! I've read that. Just didn't realize or remember that Ratty was the mic guy. I know he was the guy who cranked the sound up for Queen's set at Live Aid. I loved his book-- his was a very close up perspective but from the crew's view instead of the people closest to Freddie who, I'm sure, always twist history a bit to make themselves seem more in the know than they may have actually been.
