I plan on reacting to “Somebody To Love” next week when I do my group/band or duo reactions all week. I cannot wait to see that live version don’t think that I have ever seen it. I looked up these kids and only the one who played Freddie went on to have an acting career. This was his first performance, and he was recently in Band of Brothers. Freddie said the kids did so great, he joked that he was ready to send them out on tour and take a vacation.

Glad you are discovering Queen, I envy you! You are in for a ride, their catalogue is huge, they could play the softest ballad , love of my life, you take me breathe away to jazz, My melancholy blues, to trash metal, Stone cold crazy, to waltz, The millionaire waltz, vaudevillian Seaside rendezvous. Personally I prefer their 70' era, you could feel their thirst to break barriers, find new styles like The prophets song or March of the black Queen, Liar, Stone cold crazy , White Queen, Death on two legs, Flick on the wrist, The great king rat etc.

Suggestions: WHITE QUEEN live (a Night at the Odeon), YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY live at Hyde Park 1976, LIAR live at LONDON 1977, STONE COLD CRAZY live at the Rainbow ‘74, WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER live at Budapest, WE WILL ROCK YOU Official video, and DON’T STOP ME NOW Official video. You should also do their performance at LIVE AID 1985, where they stole the show from all the other Rock Stars/Bands. Please do not do these songs until the end, as Freddie was very ill: THOSE WERE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES, NO ONE BUT YOU, and MOTHER LOVE.

Great reaction! Another great song from this album is Was It All Worth It ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sEhYFnwTciQ.html. Freddie actually wrote the song Was It All Worth It as a farewell song to the fans. At that stage the doctors did not think Freddie would live past 1989, so Freddie just basically released his farewell song on The Miracle, although he did keep on going and he recorded the album Innuendo as well, Innuendo is a fantastic album, better then The Miracle in my opinion. And Another great song from this album is Scandal ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VMO3YNoNyTY.html and Breakthru ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CEjU9KVABao.html. There is also a B-side song which didn't originally make the album Stealin' ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-86ZzckamNEg.html.

Thank you, Zenobia. Wow really? I did not know about that story. Wow. I am interested in hearing Was It All Worth It. I will wait to listen when I react to it soon. Freddie was ahead of his time. To me, he was just as big and important to music as Prince and Michael Jackson. Just, learning more about him and the band over the past years really opened my eyes. I always knew he was an amazing singer, but hearing some of these songs for the first time and getting more vocals are really impressive. Thank you very much for all of these recommendations. I will for sure get to them in a few days are so. I might be a little extra at time, but, I really do think it’s a life changing experience getting a chance to listen and watch Queen.
@ZENOBlAmusic
@ZENOBlAmusic 3 года назад
@@awordfrompresidentpat1985 It is really the song that Freddie created as his farewell song. But it might not be exactly what you would expect. That being said if you somewhat understand Freddie's personality then it fits quite well. I do agree that Queen and specifically often Freddie had way of creating music that was ahead of it's time. There are a few examples. Queen did one of the first power metal songs, Ogre Batlle, before the genre really existed. Later on it was popularised by Rainbow. Queen did thrash metal, Stone Cold Crazy, years before it really became popular. Michael Jackson was a big Freddie fan. When Queen released their Hot Space album it was really unpopular with rock fans. But Michael Jackson has listed it as a big inspiration for Thriller. Freddie was also the first contemporary artist to collaborate with an opera singer, he created the opera and pop crossover genre. On top of that some of Queen's music don't sound that dated, especially live. Yes, I would say that is a good observation, that they were often ahead of their times. I have heard that Prince used to watched a lot of Queen concerts, and in return Freddie had Prince concert that he really loved to watch. So there was some mutual admiration there. The Prince song 3 Chains o' Gold was inspired by Bohémien Rhapsody. Freddie was actually an almost better songwriter then a singer and performer, but people don't always realize this, because his singing and performance are so obvious. Check out this analysis of We Are The Champions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sUuB7zs4ej4.html (check it out in your own time, you shouldn't react to it, it will be to technical for some people). It is an anthem it sounds like a very simple song, usually anthems at this time had around 4 - 6 cords. We Are The Champions is a song with 27 cords, with modal mixture and key changes. It is actually quite a complex song. Killer Queen is song that is studied in Britain for a musical degree it is studied alongside Beethoven. Freddie was an amazing composer. Queen is definitely recognized, but because they lost popularity in America, they can be very underrated or unknown in America. If you are an American you would probably never realise that Queen are the 4th best selling artist of all time. It is, The Beatles at around 414 million album equivalents, Michael Jackson at 329 million, Elvis at 316 million and Queen at 267 million. Between all of these artists you see a lot of influence. I am glad you are taking the time to really listen to Queen! Have you ever listened to very early Queen? That really showcases some of their best work. Basically all of their 70's albums are amazing work. But their first 3 albums are not that well known because they were not that popular yet. Their first 3 albums Queen I, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack is really amazing and very eclectic.
