Queen perform 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' live. Taken from 'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert'.
Taken from The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness that took place at Wembley Stadium on Easter Monday, 20th April 1992. The concert was a tribute to the life of the late Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury, with all proceeds going to AIDS research. The concert was also the launch of The Mercury Phoenix Trust AIDS charity organisation.

I've thought the same thing for 25 years today... It's always had me in tears... till Adam I thought my dream of seeing Queen died with Freddie (I was not on board with Paul Rodgers even though I think he's absolutely brilliant he just didn't fit the Queen sound). Long Live Queen !!!

I can argue with that. 1. Metal isn't shit. That's a perception of yours. 2. Even today's music is music, although you might not like it. That's fine. But it doesn't mean it's not music or art. 3. I saw Queen live right around them starting to tour with Adam. Brian sang Love of my life and introduced Freddie by way of old footage. He said "if we wish real hard maybe he'll pop up one more time. I fing bawled. I can only imagine performing this song on this night as i can remember him choking up all those years later

This Performance makes me tear up every time. Knowing what Brian went through at the time (depression to the point if contemplating suicide) makes this one of the most spine chilling and emotional performances I’ve ever seen. You can see the pain in his eyes and hear it in his voice.

Brian, oh Bri.....how very much you loved him. The pain is clearly visible, on your face, in your voice. I thought I had cried all of my tears for Freddie, but here come some more. I obviously never was lucky enough to know him and I wish so much that I had. I believe he was the kind of friend to give you the courage to follow your dreams.

This song is not about Freddie. It’s about his first wife and his current wife Anita Dobson. And being unfaithful and him not having the courage to leave his current relationship and go to the next. It was a time he contemplated suicide.

Premiering this song live alone in front of a whole stadium...what a legend! I hate it when people reduce Queen to Freddie, all four are Queen and this is one of the many videos that shows how great Brian is. I'm so glad I had the possibility to see him and Roger just a few days ago, was really special! If Freddie would still be with us/them, they'd still be the greatest band on the planet!

What i love about the queen and freddie 's bandmates is that they have so much love and respect for freddie that they accept him whoever he was and still continue his legacy and continue the band, i undesrtand that john deacon was very devastated when freddie died thats why he leave and again the two remaining members respect that and still continue the band up to now, i know freddie is grateful about what theyre doing now for the band and i will continue to respect all of them as individuals and as a band. To address the content and history of this song: From what i know it was written in early 1989 by Brian. It was about his divorce "I used to bring you sunshine, but now all I ever do is bring you down" and the news of Freddie's illness. It was rejected by Freddie for The Miracle album. This is the first time it was played in public. But, Freddie recorded it before this and before its debut on Back to the Light. Freddie's recording is on Made in Heaven.

My where do we start the love and affection for the beautiful man is unrivalled since been in the band with Freddie Roger and John to writing a Very Very personal song like this the lyrics speak for themselves when Brian wrote it he had just lost Freddie he was going through a divorce in love with Anita Dobson. As well this is pure utter raw emotion pouring out from Brian how he kept it together performing this track I'll never I'd love to meet him and roger and John of course to pass on my personal thanks to them there have helped me through some dark times in my life love respect always to Brian Freddie John roger

When I watched Brian way back then singing this live on the night of The Freddie Tribute gig little did I know that this was a prediction of how my life would go and end up, now I listen to it in August 2022 I realise he was singing not only about Freddie but how my life would end up also, too much love and trust did kill me. I thought it was inappropriate He died of aids Song "too much love kill you" " victim of your crime" Brian co wrote this outside of queen when he was going through a divorce after cheating "Choose between a lover or the love you leave behind" Freddie recorded it for miracle album,assuming he thought brian wrote it It wasn't allowed on the album because it went against the agreement they all made with Freddie all songs credited to queen When Freddie died they put it on made in heaven album also on brian solo album

@@bluebell3720 I didn't know they released it after Freddie's death..I knew the rest. But it was the best he had. Until 1968 to be gay was a criminal offense both in the UK and the States. Freddie could never give or get enough love- He loved us all...God Bless You Freddie.❤ Do you think Freddie never heard Brian sing this?

To me , Freddie Mercury wasn't about what sexuality he was- or how he died--He was about love and music.And Brian's tribute was what they as friends, would have understood much better than us. It was beautiful Brian.
