Yeah I just wish that happened in the movie 😢 in the film they made him out to be a pathetic little weasel who did everything wrong and broke up the band for money.
I will never understand how he was able to produce such a powerful rendition of this song live. The passion, vocals to pull this off in one take is simply astonishing, especially considering his vocal cords must have already been tired from the 30+ minutes that preceded this performance.
@@MrFusionyeah I was pretty floored when I found out the Wembley concert was overdubbed. When you hear the original audio it's not even close in a lot of places. They still put together a great version with the dubs but obviously it's not live anymore when you do that. 😐
He sings this song with pure heart because ke knows deep inside that he will be die young, in a couple of years. Freddie Mercury you are a freaking damn legend! We are still hearing your voice, even you are in the heaven! GREATEST LEGEND!
Freddie today is April 28,2024 You are still so Special in my heart.,now you are a Specialty in Heaven ...Heard you still sing there. love you song Who wants To Live Forever...
Couldn't have said it better, this song and the passion by all the members behind Freddie's Angelic and powerful vocals just makes this a performance this will be hard to top by anyone in the future
Y yoooo!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Freddie (& Queen). We just played this song at my Dad's funeral today. He was a big fan. I miss him (& miss Freddie too...the greatest front man of any band...EVER ❤️)
So very sorry for your Loss Ron. But guess what? Your Dad lives through you. Every good deed you do, every difference you make in other people's lives, even if it just a smile, that's your Dad. He lives Forever brother. Celebrate his life! I hope it helps.
I'm so so sorry for your loss but I think you paid tribute to your Dad with an amazing send off with this thing. I'm playing it today as my parents progress through their 70s. It's something I would like to use for one of them too. I hope your dad had a safe trip to heaven ❤️
@just_katrina Hey, thank you for the kind words 🙏🏼 It went as well as these things can. I am glad I chose that song, it was poignant on the day and was well received. I wish you (& your family) well, in your endeavours ❤️
My mom died two months ago and yes I thought she would live forever ! She was 100 years old and all 6 of her children are living from 77 to 57 years old . Oh how lucky we were . So blessed !
@@mr.badguy4632 true, but Freddie knew something wasn't right. He went for testing in 1982 already, and was waiting for better medical tests to become available.
Sorry, but the studio version is incredible. This performance is great but i think the studio version was better.. well at least the quality is the same as the studio version.
This song and performance is unmatched… music will never be this good again. No matter how many times I listen to this song, I’m in awe of how amazing it truly is.. Queen will live forever with their music 🎶
2:32 when his voice breaks is heart breaking :( He knew he was ill but still continued singing to thrill the world! He will “live forever” x rest in peace Freddie x
Yeah. Here's a list. Abe Lincoln: shot Michael Jackson: heart attack Martin Luther King Jr: shot JFK: shot Freddie Mercury: aids Walter Payton: liver disease Walt Disney: cancer I could list more
The Purple & Gold Colton Channel michael was accused of being pedophile and walt made a lot of child cartoons that are inappropriate for children and well idc if he knew but there is a lot of molesting going on in his company...
That was the God voice my friends. You can always easily hear the diffrence in voice colour and power between Roger and Freddy. That s the only time Freddy tries to hit this note in live videos you find on youtube. Yes Roger is singing the highest notes in the refren, but Freddy, only in this part, is going higher then Roger. So easy to analise that my friends! Roger could also hit this note for sure, but not this time and never with this colour, this power and this vibrato. Only Gods can, so this is Freddy.
to think in the 70s we had queen. David bowie. John Lennon. Paul McCartney . Elton John. elvis. the stones. pink floyd. led zepplin. Jimmy hendrix. jim morrison. Eric clapton. and many MORE. it's unreal. we will never see musicians like that again. my god is music so bad today compared to then. it's sad.
The saddest part is... I'm sure there are still talented people like this in the world but they simply don't get recognized anymore. Music industry has changed a lot. It's not about talent anymore.
cmoon not true, they just make people famous that appeal to us. they did it with pop from the 50’s and 60’s with dion, bobby vee, etc. and they do it now
Every time I hear this song I end up with tears in my eyes. This song is so prophetic coming from Freddie. I openly admit I don't like a lot of their later stuff but this one just cuts me in half, it is just beautiful. We all miss you Freddie, you were a once in a lifetime person, RIP
@@tracywestmoreland yes, a lot of time you can't hear his bass, but if you listen hard enough you hear it and its really good. Also look up queen no bass, its horrible
I was born after freddie passed away, and it makes me sad that i wasn't able to stand in the audience at one of Queen's shows and hear him in-person. I can only imagine that it was a surreal experience.
As músicas dele me acalma , me tranquiliza, e traz lindas recordações da minha infância tenho 37 anos de idade. Meu lindo Fred

Time will pass and memories slip but coming back to this performance restores the reverie in you that only the power and tenderness in the voice of the powerhouse that is Freddie Mercury
mrdanski85 The ones we love and the ones who love us never really leave us. One of the very few things I know for sure. (Sirius Black said something very similar to Harry Potter as well, so it must be true...right? lol!)
I saw all the great rock n rollers of the 70s, I remember seeing The Who, The Stones, and the Carlos Santana band put them to shame in Mile High Stadium. I saw Queen 3 times in 1974 opening for Mott the Hopple (who even remembers those guys?) at the State Fair Grounds, twice at The Myriad in 80 and 82. Robert Plant had a nice voice Roger Daltry had a power voice. Freddie Mercury was the Pavarotti of Rock and Roll. The Band lived through him they made him live. It is difficult to say there was a best or who was the best. I might just have to agree with you.
There's no chance for us It's all decided for us This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us Who wants to live forever Who dares to love forever When love must die J..
Jude Adeline they most likely knew about them, but didn’t truly understand the music until now - you can’t bash new fans for finding their music through the phenomenal movie, it’s good that they’re listening to them and that Queen’s legacy continues!
The film was fictitious in many ways and portrayed Freddie very differently from what he most likely actually was, but it's still great that it was made. Maybe it had to be fictitious to make it more appealing. Because now people are rediscovering Queen or resparking the love they already had for them.
It's not just his voice, Queen wrote and created this song, they imagined the ups and downs, the passion, the force, the glory this song is. THAT is the genius, the vocals are of course great but the difference between you and I singing it and Freddie is that Freddie and the boys created this masterpiece, they brought the genius to the party.
Freddie, you do live forever because even now, 30 years later, new generations are discovering you: & those that already loved you are still celebrating & missing you. RIP.❤️
A few years back I would be invited over to dinner at my sister's house and she would play queen music from her Alexa unit. Now I'm totally into their music.
Queen is eternal music. People in a few decades will even hear queen. Imagine a child on a base on Mars in the future asking mom ,,mum, could you tell me something about this band on earth called queen? Its beautiful''
I wouldn’t call it angelic. But I know what you mean. It was intense. It was real. Honest. Provoking. Exciting. Rare. Freddie was a unicorn. There will never be another Freddie
You should not, he would want you to enjoy his music. I also miss him terribly and am glad that todays medicine tredendously helps people with AIDS and HIV and they no longer needs to die and suffer horribly. Sorry I could not answer you in azbuka, just don´t know how to make my keyboard make to do it.
My uncle Leonard took me to see Highlander. He was in a wheelchair most of his life so going to take his nieces and nephews to see a movie was special. I remember going back to his farmhouse listening to the Highlander vinyl and we had a sing along. RIP dude.
