One of the many things I love about Queen is that they were all songwriters. A lot of bands have one or two main writers and occasionally one of the other members will contribute a song or two every other album but everyone in Queen wrote and each of them is responsible for at least a couple of essential tracks from the band's discography.

I’ll never know how Freddie’s voice can be so powerful yet so gentle at the same time. You can tell he puts all of himself into his performances and yet he still looks so carefree and easy. RIP Freddie. You are a legend, and you will be loved and revered until the end of time.

22 years ago today, my Mom passed away. Cruelly taken at just 53 years old to Cancer. At her funeral, as her final song, her last goodbye, she chose this. It wasn't for her, it was for my Dad. She was saying thank you to him for being her friend. To this day, it remains the purest show of love I've ever seen in my entire life, and perfectly sums-up the relationship they had. If I could, I would love to personally thank Queen, and in particular John Deacon for recording this song. It still lifts me when I'm down, and reminds me of the most wonderful Mom I could have wished for.

I can't believe how many Queen songs I heard growing up in the 90's. I never realized they made so many hits until now it's amazing. I recently lost my dog (Lucky) of 15 years. I got him when i was 13 years old and he was the best dog i could have asked for. This song is so perfect it reminds me of my Lucky 🥺 my selfishness wishes i could have had him for another 15 years. I am Thankful for all the joy and happiness he brought me in all those years. This song features a Fender Rhodes electric piano, which was a popular choice at the time, with many rock songs by the likes of Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan using the instrument. John Deacon wanted to write a song incorporating the instrument, but Freddie Mercury did not want to play it. "I refused to play that damn thing," Mercury said. "It's tiny and horrible and I don't like them. Why play those when you have a lovely superb piano." So Deacon took the Rhodes home, learned to play it, and started writing this song.
