When the subs at 0:05 say "creepy" they really mean goosebumps-inducing/chilling in a good way not creepy lol hope english-speaking viewers dont take it out of context
I'm glad someone pointed it out! Korean to English allows a lot of grey area and some people who don't understand might take it the wrong way. Whenever they say creepy I know it is more in a "shocking" or "can't look away" context (which often means it's eye-catching ^.^)
The subtitles are not the best but just know that the reaction is a positive one! (That's why the guy on the extreme left got super excited lol) Creepy = I got goosebumps. Gruesome = goosebump-inducing. In this case due to the fact that it left them speechless/overwhelmed. Like when something is too good causing all your hairs to stand. Please view them positively! I really liked this reaction a lot.
Interesting to see straight men reacting to this video. The point of AOA performance is that AOA Jimin wanted to convey that girls don’t have to be objectified and act sexy wear revealing clothes like their last performance(Miniskirt), it is NOT their only identity. Just like in today’s society, many women CAN do what men can as well as men can do.
since then other replies have stated that when the translation said creepy, they just meant goosebump inducing in a good way... I guess similar to if a singer hit a note in an awe-inspiring way that gave you goosbumps ^_^
2PM's Jo Kwan performed dressed as a women on Golden Tambourine quite frequently as serious performances. Every other occasion I can think of of men performing as women it was sort of as a joke (Even if they still behaved seriously).
Mamamoo had an awards show performance with similar concept to this AOA performance. SNSD had a music video with a drag queen as an extra (very small part of the MV). Those are about the only times I've seen it before.
@@MegaTenser SuJu has done it in concert often. Big Bang has done it Vixx- Wonder Girls - So Hot, Ice Cream Cake, Some SM boys (EXO SUhom Shinee Minho TVXQ Changmin SUJU Kyuhun) - Girl's Day Something, BTOB/ SuJu Shindong - Red Velvet, Dumb Dumb B1A4- SNSD Genie Got7-AOA - Miniskirt, RV- DUmb Dumb It's difficult to tell where the line is drawn between joke and serious performance.
They are drag queens sis jo Kwon is the one who dressed up as a women as a joke these people are professionals and why try to explain something like this to them when they seem homophobic
@@wregell72 WAtch Golden Tambourine and tell me Jo Kwon does it as a joke. He continued to perform stages dressed as a woman even after he received significant shit from it from the Korean Public. Drag Queens don't live their lives in drag. Drag queens are artists first and foremost, that use women's clothing and feminity as part of their art, and Jo Kwon certainly deserves the title of drag queen. I heard, nor perceived nothing homophobic in their reactions. It is not homophobic to mention the rarity to which cross-dressing occurs in South Korean Media as serious performance (again in happens often on Knowing Bros, as comedy) It is also not homophobic to be unaware of the times cross-dressing has occurred as serious performance. It is actually quite the opposite to like, to Heart and comment, because it otherwise draws attention to those instances in a positive manner. And perhaps, before you try and educate someone, on a particular topic, don't assume preferred gender pronouns. You have no idea, if I am a she, a he, or they. Calling me anything, in a reference is condescending.
You guys should really change the translation from "Creepy" so that you don't lose viewers in the future. If it's like people are commenting and that is not a good translation of what you said/mean, then you should adjust it!
They spoke to themselves. They just men voging dancer. They didn’t put on breast padded. And didn’t excessive make up. And didn’t wear a wig. Just their hair and their chest.
Where did you get the impression that these guys were homophobic? I mean, no one can get inside their head but at least in this video they sounded positive impressed by the performance.
