Had the pleasure to play Hikaru at a simul in Arizona when I was 11 years old and he was 18 and just became US champion. I remember playing the Scandinavian as black and getting sauced. Glad to see you’ve come this far Naka, I still have the chess book you autographed for me some 17 years ago. 🙂
It's very difficult to play without queen against this elo. They are not average chess players. Almost every of them can easily win 99% of this video viewers.
it's really cause of the speed! his opponents are so worried about losing on time, that they rush moves and end up blundering. a strength of hikaru is simply moving fast while only making a few obvious blunders
What controversy? Hans for once tried to show respect and was actually happy that Kramnik accepted his challenge, then Kramnik gets salty (at this point he's almost as salty as Gata when losing) - funny how both of them were connected with big cheating scandals.
Lmao loved the saying “Hes just busy munching away the rating points from everybody” haha thats FACTS! Hikaru is really chowing down having a feast on allllllllllllllllll of the chess players hes ever played accept for extremely rare occasions or super bad luck, its just a FACT!
wild guess but I think because he dominated mostly because of time, he had just losing positions til the end, but beat them on time, its not the most fun to play und not the most fun to watch.
hikaru moves so fast! a lot of the opponents are losing on time so they are trying to rush as fast as possible to avoid losing on time. as a result they make blunders. tough cause it's a lose lose choice
