Brian May holding Wembley in the palm of his hand. Stunning... and when he asks them to light up the stadium for Taylor, what a spectacle! We should all be so lucky to be remembered like this. RIP Taylor.
@@killex5821 It can be very jarring. Just imagine how Brian and Roger must be feeling.. they played Live Aid here, rocked in 1986 on the Magic tour, then played the Tribute concert for Freddie 30 years ago, and now playing the Tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins.. these guys have all my respect! ❤️
I will never ever forget this moment… and I will never be able to hear this song again without completely breaking down! We love you Taylor! Thank you Brian May… Freddie would have absolutely approved and they were both looking down on us all I’m sure x
We were lucky enough to be there and honestly it was just one of the most beautiful moments....this is making me cry again watching this...thank you for posting x
So so so Great... I changed the lyrics for a cover song as Space Boy on YT.... just a bit of fun 'Shop at Wembury Stores' ... Queen fans have been so great! ... thanks.
@@vanos2194 There's a difference between to doing that and making money from his legacy for the past thirty years. I didn't hear that the millions May and Taylor made from executive producing Bohemian Rhapsody (the film) was donated to charity.
As Freddie and Taylor are looking down during this performance, there is a magnitude of LOVE. Music is the medicine of healing when you loose loved ones, but at the same time you feel happiness among strangers and this is humanity at it's best.
@@CarolinasConcertVids There are 7.753 billion people in the world. That's everyone. For you to say that everyone misses him means you have had contact with 7.753 billion people and they've told you they miss him. To you now see the ridiculousness of your post? You simply cannot make a generalised statement like that and beleive it - if you do you're an idiot. Most likely you are.
Wow. Hearing this crowd sing the lyrics, in 2022, is amazing. I can’t find anyone these days that even knows this song. That’s one hell of a musically rich crowd right there. Hard to find these days.
The saddest final "yeah" of all the times this song has been played. I think Brian was really broken at this point, and I didn't saw him in the final salute of the concert.
This is when I finally broke on Saturday. I'd held it together pretty good until Brian did this. It was simply beautiful. I recorded it myself but yours is better quality. Thanks, Carolina :)
Loved the touch to light up the stadium with their mobiles. Something similar in Opera for Va Pensiero for Italians remembering their slavery under foreign occupation by using their cigarette lighters in Verona Arena, haunting just like this for Taylor. RIP.

I always loved when Taylor sang Queen songs. Not many people can do Freddy Mercurys songs justice. Best vocalist of all time imo. Taylor was a great singer and frontman which NOT many musicians are...except for Dave Grohl and Phil Colins. Triple threats. And he JUST enjoyed it so much!
@@saltymermaid439 It was allways one of the greater highlights in their shows. He sang the Queen songs with all he could give - and did them justice too. No one can sing them like Freddie did, but Taylor sang them with such passion and joy! I loved these moments and I am greatful I had the chanse to see him doing that live. I never saw him singing Love of My Life though and love this clip from Diana León so much - I had to share it ❤️
Oh jesus, I'm gonna get some shit for this post. Here goes. Firstly Hawkins was one man and any death is sad but not all are tragic. This guy died because he took drugs. That ain't tragic, it's stupid and dumb. The autopsy showed Hawkins had ten substances in his system at the time of his death, including opioids, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and THC cannabis. Not only that he diced with death taking a cocktauil of drugs whilst having a family that depended on him. That, in and of itself, is selfish. Eulogising someone under these circumstances is just plain wrong. That said we once again have to tolerate the sad sad experience of Brian May jumping on any bandwagon he can just to maintain an iota of relevance.May is a shill: a man who will do anything to extend the profitable reward of keeping Mercurys legacy alive. The song he preformed has no lyrically relevance to Hawkins or death: it's about the break up of a relationship, clearly innappropraite when you think about it. These 'spectacles' whereby a famous persons death is celebrated are sickening. And why was it held in the UK, Hawkins was a yank? Why can't these people mourn in private like the rest of us have to do and why sell tickets to perform that mourning with a shambolic music show containing such fake and clearly false expressions of pain. It insults my intelligence and I'm surprised it doesn't shock yours. Finally most of the comments below are from empty shells of people who seem to enjoy over emotive expressions of grief towards someone who died whilst doing something highly illegal. That is surprising in itself.
Jesus this comment is everything wrong with the world. The drugs found in Taylor's system were all prescription drugs for different treatments, including depression. He's not to blame for his death. That being said, Brian and Taylor were good friends and Taylor had been adopted into Brian's and Roger's families. He's here honouring a friend, someone who sought his advice and inspiration for years and declared their mutual admiration constantly. All of that while also singing a song written by another friend of his who died. If you don't have nothing nice to say, just shut the fuck up
@@lauraboiocchi4666 Jesus, you're comment is everything that's wrong in this world! (see what i did there numbnuts?) If what you aid is true and that all the drugs were prescribed then why did he die when he did? If he was supposed to take the drugs in the amounts that he did then he would have died earlier. Fact is if you research the drugs he took all advice is that you do not take them in combination. I very much doubt you will research it because people like you beleive what you told or read in scam over emotive shite tabloids or TV news stories. As for your comment about 'honouring a friend' I'd point you back to my initial comment. As for your use of the words inspiration and admiration I don't give a shit who shills like Taylor admire. One has to wonder why these people feel the need to 'honour a friend 'in front of thousands of people. Once again, the song May sang has zero lyrical reference to death. The only reason he performed it is because of the title: again an over emotive pathetic attempt at faux grief. If you don't have anything factual or relevant to say I suggest you shut the fuck up. (oooops, I did it again!)
