I love that Josh is hitting the high note again in the lyric, “how they stick in YOUR throat”. He hasn’t done it this consistently since the song came out - gives me goosebumps.
whose fault was that they´ve started 10 minutes late? do we know that? if everything was delayed and previous bands played the whole set cutting them off is just ....
@@brandofhero not at festivals. there is a strict rule. the organisers doesn`t give a shit when you start - but they say we know when you are finished ;-) so I assume it was QOTSA fault. also he talkes a lot of nonsense during the breaks.... so... figure it out
Well considering he was drunk and I saw the delivery guy running with 5 Asian stuff which is basically the band running backstage around 2 min before the show would start, yeah i would guess it was Josh fault because he was kinda drunk and wanted some Asian food. Just my observation from the front row
The organizers told him that they were not allowed to play any more songs and he lost his cool. It was the corporate festivals system clashing with his artistic view of what a concert should be. He criticized that rigid planning of those festival organizers instead of giving some room and time for the crowd to really feel the artists and the artistic engagement or the artist with the crowd. So he started to insult them and said he would never play at a venue of them again, if they'd cut them off due to time constraints. Seemed fair to be honest, because art comes before profit.
QOTSA are far from being just one cool light show, dude. You just don't cut someone's set just like that. That isn't cool, especially considering that they like to close with some of their greatest hits. Not cool, and the fact that he needs to even say it is beyond ridiculous. The sets are carefully designed with their fans in mind, so festival organisers need to be more respectful. In the future no one who really loves music will go to these idiotic festivals. Most of the crowd suck, the lineups are a mess (social media following doesn't make you a good artist!) and the organisers only care about money.
@@A.S.P.A.sorry to burst your bubble but they came out 10 minutes late. Josh passed out in the crowd and was super drunk. They missed several songs like song for the dead. And in the end he wanted to play at least no one knows all though he was 10 minutes above his time because he passed out during the concert. You don’t see the bigger picture but I was there and as a long time qotsa fan this sucked.
@@1995krampe It was an excellent show in my opinion. QOTSA built up this tour in a very professional manner, a 10 minutes knock-out was planned on every festival/concert. Last year they toured with Make it witchu turned into a 10-12 minutes singalong, and if you watch some of their shows from this and last year, you can see that even his communication with the crowd is scripted, basically almost word by word with those of Santa Barbara, etc. They are more professional than to just uncontrollably fall into some drunken abyss. I didn´t mind the lack of originality however, and the fact that they did not play No one knows in the first half of the gig suggested that it was planned as the closing song (even though they close most concerts with Song of the dead). As of the delay, I was there on all three days, watched several artists during those days and none of them started in time. EVERY concert was delayed. Sometimes just a few minutes, but we waited to one of the show for more than 15 minutes. I understand that we had different experiences regarding the same show, as maybe our expectations were also different, but I genuinly loved the show and it was great to see them again.
@@andyg3 I need to be a leaguer to have a comment on these B leaguers? Well in my profession I am an A leaguer, so does that qualify. But if no leaguers cannot comment do not be a hypocrite.
