Nick Ball winning. He deserved it. He boxed extremely well, stuck to the game plan and executed it perfectly. He has a great style of educated pressure
Turkey telling Eddie hearn he might as well retire I don't know what's worse his matchmaking or his knowledge of boxing lol signing wilder to fight Zhang just shows how thin his stable is with up and coming talent aswell I would have rather signed Martin bakole to fight Zhang at Least he would have had a chance lol he basically might as well retire in the Uk soon if I was dazn i would be worried about there stable of future stars in the uk compared to Queensbury and boxxer even surely dazn arent happy with the undercards in saudi from there side for example Joshua wallin so technically there the lead broadcaster with Joshua headlining and there fighters was in mismatches on the undercard with queensbury fighters having proper fights then fury against usyk were tnt was lead broadcaster you had cordina defending his belt and opeteia rematching breidis is it just me or can anyone else see turkey and frank warren are just taking the piss out of Eddie lol
My favourite moment was being wrong about most of my picks (apart from Zhang and Bivol) - that's why we love boxing, it's so competitive and unpredictable. Saudis have really changed boxing for the better - throwing money at the fighters so they no longer are afraid to 'lose their 0' and showing that when you fight the best (and remain active)...the fighters perform and the fans are happy. Still can't believe Hutchinson beat Richards. So many little things that, in hindsight, now show - Ford maybe tight at the weight and that tough fight with Kholmatov..leading to him not being able to force the stoppage vs Ball; Ammo's extremely aggressive style being putty for an ever-improving Sheeraz and Hrgovic continuing to show how he probably left it all in the amateurs. Big congrats to all the Queensbury boys - they all performed wicked.
I had ball to win hutchinson to win duboise to win sheeraz to win and it was all running on wilder I bet wilder to knock fury out in all 3 fights and the only other time I bet him was Saturday he jeeps letting me down for hundreds I hope he retires as I can't afford him to keep fighting lol
@rickisunak it was a hard card to pick.. they all had a chance v each other. I watched highlights of them and picked every winner going off the highlights one thing I got wrong was put my bet on then watched the Ford best highlights soon as I did. I wanted to change my bet but I got a bit lucky there could of been a draw or even Ford good fight though I think ball deserved the win because of his last fight he got robbed... and I needed wilder for a few hundred pounds he let me down again
@@boxingnews__ bit bizarre that the time when there’s most going on in the boxing world and loads to discuss and you’re not doing as many podcasts… do better!
I picked ball Sheeraz and Zhang bivol was the only obvious choice though on the card and that wasn’t part of the 5 v 5 really enjoyed the ball v ford fight excellent card
Cmon.. He showed some balls, kept on coming forward and showed some good footwork. It's a fight after all. Hrgovic looked very lethargic. Agree about the head, but a lot of fighters do that. I thought he would get schooled badly but fairplay to him. Who wins out of him and Joshua?
The smith that fought Eubank after beating him wasn’t the same one of the first fight, flat as a pancake something wasn’t right and still he was a 154lb fighter moving up and at the twilight of his career too. Sheeraz is a whole different beast, young, big, ambitious and can punch I for certain wouldn’t make him a favourite in that fight I thought he lost every round against Williams bar the rounds with the knockdowns he couldn’t beat an injury plagued end of the road grieves albeit at super middle and even dating back to Saunders he started late after doing zilch in 6 rounds never rated him at all I’d go as far as saying the most overhyped fighter in Britain over the last decade achieved nothing as far as titles in the sport or fighting people of note but I suppose he’s completed it money wise off the very little ability I think he has compared to others he was never gonna fight golovkin and canelo and even now he’s had no world title shots at middleweight the guys just not interested in that side of the sport. Best win on his record was against a shot to bits Degale, he’d have got beat off Korobov bar the injury I believe too.
Ford won that fight imo.. don’t think ball done enough to take the belt from champion period.. ball was just active throwing but was hitting the arms an gloves for most part !!
Andy Clarke saying you had to pick Richards as heavy favourite is absolutely mental, like printing money betting on Hutchinson Richards takes no risks never has and was never going to win against a switched on Willy. That was the banker of the night along with Zhang
Nah most people had Richards as the fave & you could kinda see why. Heck when they first announced the card most said this is the worst & easiest fight & were amazed as to why Hearn didn't make Richards captain. Willy had a point to prove, fair play to him
Personal opinion I don't care about the crowd when the fights we want are happening! What a card! I'd rather have this crowd with good competitive match ups than having a loud crowd with mismatches.

I really enjoyed the card dont get me wrong, not sure we needed the saudis for this card though without bivol/beterbiev there it was defo a card that could have been made in the uk if only eddie n frank thought of it first. Im not the only one who has an issue with the half empty venue and zero atmosphere to the point you can here a single cough on tv. Bit of a dampner for me.
