NSW have finally found an identity that they can build on, they are creating a culture that will allow them to counter the 'QUEENSLANDER' BILLY Moore made famous. It's their first season with Madge, who has brought a different mindset that is built on the same mental skills group that built the All Blacks. NSW has always had the core ability to win, now it needs a couple of seasons to bed in this attitude change and get the egos lower and the Team higher. Its gonna be a challenge Guys.
It's incomprehensible to legitimately think professional elite sportmen would require 20 years to combat a single moronic word belted out by one individual as he leaves the dressing room in the 90's. A bit far fetched, and probably a little naive and narrow minded on Queensland's part to actually think that this really ever means terribly much to anyone else. The fact that Queensland had some of the greatest players to ever lace a boot play as a team for a decade may have played a part in the dominant Meninga years!! Combine that with a poorly run, unmotivated and neglectful NSWRL and you have utter sporting dominance by the other side, it's not rocket science. THIS AINT THE EPL...
Billy should head home to Victoria and stick to the TV gig, easy money and way less grey hairs. They will do a Freddy on you if you hang around Bill, get out while the going is good.
As a coach Slater is relatively inexperienced with this last game being his 9th game in charge of any team at this level. In contrast Maguire has been around awhile and showed his experience by not being afraid to change a winning team (Barnett inclusion). The body language of both coaches throughout the series suggested Maguire had got inside Billy's head and I think that was ultimately reflected in the QLD team selection for Origin III.
More like: “where does Harry Grant go to from here”. He lost us that game…. His decision making was WOEFUL, ABSOLUTELY WOEFUL. We were in the game until he decided to dummy left to a fresh Ponga, Pirouette and grubber into their legs. They go up the other end to score. Next kick off he pushes Moses- penalty, Moses goes up the other end to score, he also misses the tackle to let Moses score.
Billy Slater got a little full of himself and outsmarted himself 😂. Ponga and Reece selection backfield and now he tried blaming the Refs but held back. Looking for excuses..com'on billy
I agree with you there. It seemed simple, also, unless fifita didn't want to play, he should've played. Walsh was injured, ponga should've replaced him 10/15 mins from half time. Slater looked like he had a killer plan and wasn't willing to adapt.
Prior to the game, we all heard from past players and present players from NSW that we NSW haven't won a penalty count since forever. NSW won the penalty count game lll, and all of a sudden, QLD is up in arms. NSW out played QLD in all three games. Even in the first game, when NSW lost, we still outplayed QLD. We'll done to all players and coaching staff from both sides to giving us fans a great series.
Billy Slater cost the game. Ponga should play fullback and Kaifusi's time was over yet Billy continue picking him. Queensland die hard from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬.
Maroon had chance around 65-75s minute mark but the Hooker Harry Grant played solo footy and did not run to ball runners DCE, Ponga, Reece and Dearden. Ben Hunt was out thus no proper ball movement. sad. we lost. good game blues.
Billy Slater was a champion fullback ( 190 tries wasn't it,third on all time list ) and has an excellent coaching record so far(definitely more to come).
Queensland lack initiative..they had everything but they didnt use it at all. Speed of backline wasnt even used at all..they never played for field possession..instead they tried to match the blues with physicality and they failed miserably...they needed to be in blues half of the field and they never did that
Footy is not about 1 particular player, it's team effort. Just look at KP = Knights, Walsh = Bronco, Turbo = Manly, etc. Yes, they are really good but they've yet to prove anything. A footy team can't be built around 1 player. Look at Storm & Panthers. Their key players are out but yet they managed to win. Its team effort, not 1 player.
Yes, Billy got it wrong. Lost his way. The players couldn't get out of each other's way. Where was the support for Dearden when he made that break, none. Over coached I think. I feel Billy may be a bit fixed. Let the natural talent flow. Also lots of ex players around, maybe best to slim down the support, too many chiefs. I still would like to know what vitamins the hard as rocks NSW players are being fed. Just saying
Luai finally played well in state of origin, probably due to his 7 duties at panthers. Moses kicking was better than Hines. Cleary often injured for part of origin series. Will be interesting to see both teams halves next year. QLD must go with younger and dearden and Munster and Mahoney. cherry, hunt bye bye.

I think the sin bin from the bench is the first time in rugby leauge history ? Do that in any other league comp and its a early shower and a 12 month holiday ? Luv Cam Murray and the blues still would have won and i think there was a Qld play done the same , so same treatment for him (kafusi ?) the powers that be can't be making rules up one the spot seriously !
The game was in the balance until the final few minutes one of the closest games I have ever seen and it could so easily have been Cobbo, Walsh or Tabuai Fidow who made that break not Luai it was just the luck of the draw, I do agree though that David Fifita should have been there and I also think Ponga should have been in the centres in place of Gagai.
I hope Billy takes your advice. NSW physically monstered Qld in all three games. In game 3 Qld took all their scoring chances (2) and scored 4 points. NSW just missed converting most of theirs. Game 3 was very close to being another game 2 blow-out.
As Papua New Guinean, as supporter of Rugby, I love Billy, you have won two series consecutively, Billy is great coach, and don't mess with Billy he is great
As a blues fan, was happy not to see Fifita picked, as a fan of the game it was also disappointing, imagine that guy running at you nice and fresh 10-15 mins at the end of each half, screw that!!!
There is no difference in this game 3, it's always the way it's been played, Queensland wins and loses, New South Wales wins, then maroons win again, ICAN remember few years ago, maroons were rated worst team, and they came winning the series. As the saying goes, Never say die, thanks, over to you.

Game two ,nsw team have a cosy meeting with the referee, game 2 the first 30 minutes nsw get 4/5 penalties,qld no penalties plus 3/4 six agains , obviously qld were gassed ,but still won the second half ,game 3 once nsw had a pre game cosy meeting with klien ,and guess what they won the penalty count in game 3 , moses gets a love tap ,from carringan and does a Hollywood, yet walsh and dce get hit late on 3 occasions and no penalty , true facts ,but good luck to nsw as a lot went there wayand as slater said ,yah cant win em all ,
