I've had the pleasure of seeing Queensryche in concert 3 times ... they are one of those rare bands that are even better live in concert than on a studio recorded album.
its 6/14/2017, and I never knew this version existed before today! the concept is terrible but the guys look great and GEOFF, he is BEAUTIFUL! watched it 20 times!
I remember having a VHS tape where they said this was the FIRST video that was made and it was decided to reshot and do the black and white one. I wished they had released this because it seemed to me that all the metal videos back then were B&W.
Man, that sucks.:( Anymore, they won't play any of their songs on the radio. I think it has to do with the fact that they're better than many artists in rock. They've stayed to their own style, and have never been afraid to question society and it's rules. I love Queensryche for that.:)
That first 31 seconds... pure Degarmo/Wilton gold!! Classic sound of the band, that will be celebrated to my last breath. Don't have a "favorite band" per se, but Queensryche comes pretty damn close! Warning, Rage, Mindcrime, Promised Land ,etc... WHAT A FUCKING CATALOG!! Loved these guys since the self-titled cassette changed my soul in junior high in the 80's. Perfect in every way.
I continue to search this version out through the years. Salvador Dali-esque. Image driven industry so they probably didnt want to seem too "arty" so the other ver better known. I noticed too how good each member looks in this
I remember back when I was in eighth grade we had a station here in Houston called 106.9 Z Rock and they played real rock like this. Now Houston radio stations are just pop stations full of crap.
@LaKay52 im from the Memphis area. Have seen a lot of shows at the island, but never even new these guys played there. Wish I would have seen them. one of my top 5 favorite bands.
This was the first time they used a Cat in there video the second one was in the OM2 "The Hands" video .I think they are dog lovers so as to why its in there video is beyond me .I love cats so it was a win win for me either way.
I enjoy the music they are good I remember them in the day Mari...Still The best Band.. They rock my sail boat and make the whales sing off California.

Still one of my favorite songs. ❤ It would awesome if you could adjust the volume on the upload. It plays at a significantly lower volume than some other uploads. I know it would probably lose viewing numbers, I wish RU-vid could fix that. 😤
Both these videos were on their vhs video collection. they diplomatically said this video wasnt the vision they had for the song i.e its crap and makes no sense lets film another. bands couldnt do that these days, wouldnt get the budget from the record company
Great song but I can understand why they went with another video for MTV. Shame because this video has some great ideas but it looks like it's from 1986 not 1990

Yeah, I can see why they shot the black and white video after this one. It's clear the budgeting went into the effects which aren't all that spectacular to begin with (the composting/blue screening is almost comical in some shots with how off-scale everything is). They couldn't even setup a full drum set for poor Scott. But hey they got a totally convincing shot of Geoff "levitating" from a bed that's clearly not bolted to a wall!
