@@ryanbenbow-zx2sd Thank god Geoff is gone, no more garbage like Dedicated to Chaos, no more fairy Cabaret shows and we get to hear the songs sung properly in their original key! Did you complain when Sabbath only had two original members on Mob Rules and Dehumanizer? I guess you don't like AC DC either, I mean Bon Scott hasn't put out an album for over 40 years. Whitesnake's only had one original member since the early 80's. I could go on and on, Van Halen, Genesis, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Fates Warning, etc.
It doesn't feel like the same Queensryche anymore but they are still solid and will see them any time they are in my area. They are a different band that makes their own good music and sings classic Queensryche material. Geoff's band is great as well. In 2024, this is still a great thing.
Music is solid... Geoff is the only one who can sing his parts right. Even he has trouble now if you look at his videos. His gift was amazing and we should all be glad we enjoyed it then and have it to listen to. You know you did it...why'd you do it!
@@cliffsanchez1451 DeGarmo has been out of the picture for more than 20 years.....he is an airline pilot I guess. His guitars on those great early Queensreich albums were unbelievably good.
Im sorry im confused here, lol. Who from the original version of the band are still in the band? And where did the others go? I know Tate is fronting his own version now,but im kinda out of the Queensryche loop these days. I did have the chance to see them back in tha day 2-3 times. Just amazing every time. Twice opening for otbers, and once headlining.
I think Chris DeGarmo (original guitarist) now has a band with his daughter. As for the drummer, there is a recent Blabbermouth article about a lawsuit he has against Michael and Eddie
@@RockFan89 I don't know about you guys but it's kinda sad to me when some of your favorite bands start fighting and break up or worse split into two different versions of the same band. This has happened with several bands from the 80's. Such as RATT, Great White,L.A.Guns, & even this band. Although Geoff changed his version to Operation Mindcrime. I'm not sure but there could be a few others....
@@justinmcclanahan6036 Scott, Chris and Geoff would be the real Queensryche if they got together. I think they are all still friends, everyone is just old. But yeah, they still have a guitarist and bass player from the original band and the judge gave them the name because Geoff was by himself.
I saw Queensryche open for Kiss, headline their own show in Albuquerque and play all Operation Mindcrime in LA. This is not Queensryche. Tate DeGarmo Wilton Jackson Rockenfield
Cory3518 sorry bro if you think Todd sounds great YOU CANT BE A REAL QUEENSRYCHE FAN 😔 YOU CANT HAVE A REPLACEMENT SINGER COMPARE TO THE ORIGINAL , WITH NO TATE THERE WOULD BE NO QUEENSRYCHE , SORRY
I came here with an open mind, trying to give them a fair shot at me liking the new members enough to check out their other songs. I really did. I am not saying they aren't good musicians or singers in their own right. If these artists made their own songs, then maybe. However, some songs are meant to be performed by their original creators. This to me seems like good artists doing CPR on something that IMO should be left to die.
The singer of a great band is irreplaceable. Without Geoff, they will always sound like a cover band. Geoff's band sounds just as good as the band playing here, but with Geoff's vocals. There's more to singing than just hitting the notes. You can't replace the singer. Period. Van Halen is an exception. But they went on to be arguably better than the original because they had much better written songs, not just unbelievable guitar parts. Even Journey sounds like a cover band and if Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain weren't in the band, they wouldn't really be worth seeing.
@stonemicheals1774 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼 ABSO-FUKN-LUTELY BROTHER I HAD A TROLL SAY TO ME ABOUT HOW TODD-RYCHE IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL, I SAID I SEEN BOTH QUEENSRYCHE ☝🏻 @ THE BLESSED FEAST OF THE SACREMENT ( PORTUGUESE FEAST ) NEW BEDFORD MASSACHUSETTS, & GEOFF TATE/ MINDCRIME @ THE VAULT , GEOFF WAS 1000% BETTER I WALKED AWAY @ THE FEAST WHO " TOOD" WENT WHOO HOO AT THE END OF A SONG , & I UNDERSTAND YOU MAKE IT YOUR OWN BUT , IF ITS NOT IN THE SONG DONT DO IT, THAT WAS A ROOKIE MISTAKE 😂🤣 I REGRET EVEN SEEING THEM AT THE FEAST 😔 WAS NOT WORTH MY TIME 🤔 GEOFF ON THE OTHER HAND, I MET BOTH GUITARESTS & THEY WERE PHENOMENAL WE CHATTED OUTSIDE SMOKING A BUTT 🚬 VERY POLITE & HUMBLE , I'D GO SUPPORT GEOFF TATE Any DAY OF THE WEEK ANYWHERE YOUR 1000% RIGHT NO ONE CAN TOUCH GEOFFS VOCALS, SAD TO SEE IT END THAT WAY, 😔
Geoff Tate was legendary on Operation Mindcrime and the tours following but I would much rather see Queensryche with Michael Wilton than the Goeff Tate experience.
@@aleqsheets8466 I'd love to see that, too. His band is good, but I'd love to at least see Chris and Scott. Then I'd be happy. I'm seeing him again on April 9th in Cincinnati.
Todd sounds awesome. I don't miss Geoff at all, I still like the classic line up but the album's they've done with Todd are amazing. Todd sounds great live and really nailed Eyes Of A Stranger.
@rickgeorge4150,I've seen them twice when Geoff was in the band & I went to see how good Todd was, no comparison, Geoff beats Todd in singing lead, Todd is awful,he sucks & I had to walk out of that concert he was so bad couldn't carry a tune, he must've been really drunk everyone was booing him & yelling for Geoff Tate,GEOFF, GEOFF,GEOFF, GEOFF, GEOFF
