@@flashgordon6670 So much of what one likes depends on when you were born, what your and your friends bonded over, and what was in the atmosphere at the time it came out. So, this one isn't for you. Everyone gets to choose the soundtracks to their lives. Most of the listeners here agree that this is an album of significance. I liked the eponymous EP and "The Warning" more but this has become classic.
One Of The Iconic Great Amazing Album Ever Made ...Queensryche They Never Made Album Like Operation: Mindcrime.. and They Will Never Do It Again .. Since The Great Chris DeGarmo Left The Band...
You must be about 12 years old to think that. Don’t worry, you’ll look back in a few years ashamed of yourself. Song 1 Crap! Song 2 Sucks! Song 3 I’m out! Song 4 🖕🏻
Thank you for that. I needed it. It's music like this that made me become a stagehand. Was lucky enough to meet Geoff Tate and set up for him after the divorce.
Excelente disco conceptual de Queensryche, los últimos 3 discos están a la altura de sus más grandes álbumes, aunque ya no está el vocalista original Todd Latorre canta excelente.
If you mean "with" the whole lineup, not happening right now. They were on tour recently with Judas Priest, sans Geoff Tate, and a new album, "Digital Noise Alliance" came out about in 2022.
Most underrated album, band, drummer, and vocalist of all time. Poignant, brutal, metal, poignant, and poignant! lol. Anyway, got ahold of this after I heard eyes of a stranger in middle school through BMG tape club. Have never been able to put it down. The theatrics, duel guitars, let’s go again!
November the 22nd 1990 changed my live because I saw the whole Mindcrime album live in Hannover. This show changed my life because no show before and no show after it had impressed me this way. I have so many memories of this show althoug it is nearly 35 years ago. Oh fuck, I'd never seen a better show again. And they played it perfect. The memory is overwhelming me. But what I commiserate is that they never reached this level again. It is the curse of a perfect album. THE perfect album. Almost everything has it's perfect place. Nobody can top this.
I was lucky enough to be around LA at that time so got to attend a couple of their live shows . They sounded just as good live as listening to their tape or on vinyl. This is a few years before CD's ever came out lol
This album speaks of revolution. Why are not the people of America revolting again the establishment. They know its corrupt, and lob sided. Unite !! Religion , creed , skin color, your all Americans. Unite !!! Against the establishment!!! You deserve it !!
LMAO??? Why do you ask???? There will never ever be a revolution in the United States of America ever again , Because people are too scared to lose their lives their homes and their properties and their children and their loved ones and their money and they just want to play safe by letting the government rape this country over and over and over and over and over and over again.. while they sit behind a keyboard in their warm house complaining and not having the balls to do anything about it!!!
@Mike Mike. The US needs people like you to stand up and make a difference. Do you want Budden and his son to make the US a joke. They say Trump is the problem. .. he just brought the corruption to the the public ? Look in wayward, I'm.sure the US public, will.see , if the truth comes out. Be.strong ! Seek the truth !! Corruption is rampant in America. Speak out !!
Cuando los quieren hacer la revolución son más corruptos de los que están.. son la misma cosa tienen las mismas costumbres.. de todas maneras es un gran disco.. diría de cabecera.. junto a rage of order
and don´t forget the other face of the same revolution. the weak, the poor, the street people, the homeless, the base of the political organizations pays with their entire lives and freedom the mistakes from the leaders if they are corrupts. in this case from the album from 1988 a psychiatrist with political ambitions that operates in selective assasinations in a random city. MIndcrime is a masterpiece. i think at times that the economy activity and dollar presence in the world currency system avoids for a while the massive revolutions specially in western countries with christian/catholic influences (western/central europe and the three americas/caribe), and now the internet, the political correction from the wokes/millenials, etc. the people knows well what is happening but they never come out if their rights are not protected by the countries (self defense if the agencies like security and police fails someday, etc.). is too hard to predict anything now.
This album spoiled me when it comes to concept albums. Only one album has ever lived up to the standard in my head and that's Dream Theater's "Scenes from a Memory"
Well to be honest I gave all the channels a bit of boost. In my systems they sound quite alright. But as it seems there are flaws. Better with the next albums. Thanks for the feedback.
UNA OBRA MUY VALORADA POR EL PUBLICO ES SOLO UN BUEN DISCO PERO NO ES LA OBRA DEFINITIVA DEL METAL PROGRESIVO NI MUCHO MENOS....................LA OBRA MAESTRA QUE DEFINIO EL METAL PROGRESIVO ES IMAGES AND WORDS DE LA BANDA DREAM THEATER!!!!
Queensryche has always kicked some ass, then an now, hands down musical greatness.....80's metal there is no other.....glad to have grown up in this time.
Strange to me how old this album is, yet how relevant the songs still are. Nothing has really changed since this album's birth; other than the party which is displaying the fascist tendencies.
they call people who want to preserve the normal and pin them against a woke antifa who is funded by the Gov.,this album is a close representation, accept the gov. in our world funds terrorists in other countries and antifa abroad and here they used religion, but in our case today religion is attacked not the masterminds. They do it by pushing absurdities and see how far they can go.The whole Trans movements lgbtq porn in kindergarten, all to push the people's buttons to turn them against each other. They use the youth and promise them everything to turn on the last generation then enslave everyone in the end.We won't have a revolution it will be problem solution. They can release a virus at any time to kill anyone they want keep that in mind because they already tested it.I talked to jeoff for a good 2 hours about this very thing back in 1986 on a tour bus.I told him Bill gates said there would be a pandemic in 1988,they been planning this for years.Problem is the vaccine does not work they found,so they will test it again mark my words.Jeoff thought it would be a religion Facade like illuminati, but there is no indication of religion in our predicament on activists burning cities funded and bailed out by gov. when arrested. They let them take over a few city blocks at the same time we were all under curfew and be arrested if we had no mask, they allowed them to do so and burn a gov. building.Let that sink in.MN156 seems likely because we will be chipped and if you do not have it you can not buy or sell anything. The warning was spot on.
In @1988, I introduced this album to my Mom, and she absolutely loved it. She had previously introduced me to the likes of The Beatles, The Stones, The Doobie Brothers, America, Aerosmith, et al.... She understood, back then, that the message was on the mark. As I listen today, all I can say, is WOW (which is MOM up-side down). I Love You Mom.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-82eDMbSG590.html
Agreed. Have to look hard these days. King Buffalo is one of my current favorites. Not exactly " rock opera" like the Ryche, but very cool. Check 'em out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OvC-4BixxkY.htmlsi=l-LjOFMRl0ILDGPO
We Have Always Considered THIS TO THE GREATEST ROCK/METAL ALBUM OF ALL TIME !!! 😎 Bob from Michigan ,,, Thanks for Doing Such A Great Job Posting it with attached info ,,, 😎
The whole album is about MK Ultra and a little love story. Unfortunately, Nikki takes the fall for the dead priest and Mary. They were both killed by Dr.X. MK Ultra/ Machurain candidate and now DEW on the forefront of humanity. It is a great album explaining MK Ultra.
I thought he did it but forgot because the word "Mindcrime" was the trigger to make him an assassin. When he wasn't under the mind control, he completely forgot what he did under it. He became an alternate personality.
@@drenonbusbin3959 As Dave Emory would say " Food for thought, grounds for further research" On his website Spitfire, Dave Emory goes deep dives into this topic as well as others . 🤘♠️
Definitely in top ten of best albums ever released by anyone, Rarely does an album like this get release, not only is every song a masterpiece but they tell a fantastic story. I was not much impressed with their first three releases, one day a friend showed up and told me you gotta' hear the new Queensryche album, It blew my mind, I could not believe Queensryche done it. Everything about this album is outstanding, The kind of album I would expect from Roger Waters but not Queensryche, But unlike Roger Waters it was a one time thing unfortunately. But rarely does any band ever put out even one album as great as Operation: Mindcrime
They started writing this masterpiece in 1987. It blows me away that in 2024 (over 35 years later) the subject matter is still current news. Money, greed & the 1% rules America.🤯
The only difference between then and now they were speaking the truth but also seeing the future because what they are talking about in their songs from yesterday are 10 times worse now. They were savants back then, not that the world wasn't corrupt then but C'mon look at it now. Crazy Frickin insane and all about Power and Money, again times 10 now compared to what is was back then. Gordon Gecko Michael Douglas's Character from the movie Wall Street with the Classic quote that Greed is Good. It has completely ruined society and the entire world at this stage and is only going to get worse
During the Empire Tour, Queensryche performed Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety. Pamela Moore was Suite Sister Mary on stage. Doctor X made a brief appearance. One of the best concerts I've seen in my life. When Record Theatre was still around, they were not allowed to play any song from this album. There will NEVER be a decade like this one was.
I had so many concerts before but this is the best I'd ever seen until today. It was in Hannover, Germany, the capital of Lower Saxony. No gig reached ever this level again
This is one of those albums that crosses over to the other side. IMO, it is the best album Queensryche ever did. And one of the best metal albums ever recorded.
Themed vinyl albums are now extinct. I am lucky to have experienced New Album Anticipation - buying my new record within the strongest timeline pull of those masterpieces (60s-80s) - when $8 would provide a story, storybook and matching music to become one with until the paper and cardboard edges happily split
