Queer voices in the museum 

LGBTQIA+ stories have often been kept out of mainstream history, so we are keen to make them visible. We spoke to young Queer people about why this is so important.
We have been working with young people from LGBT Youth Scotland and Sanctuary Queer Arts to develop and refresh our LGBTQIA+ Hidden Histories trail. This group - naming themselves the "History in Full Colour Collective" - made creative responses to objects from the trail and suggestions for new ones.
In this video, they highlight why showcasing Queer stories across our collections is so important.
