Check out Starless by Jacqueline Carey. I remember it being very normative. The Locked Tomb series also people jumping bodies /genders all over the place

JC’s Kushiel books are up there also. The guiding principle of the country it mainly takes place in is Love as though Wilt. Though not really queer normative some of Heinleins books have marriage as a civil contract to raise children. So there are many forms, from today’s nuclear to large poly groups.

Martha Wells writes mostly queer normative worlds - I'm surprised you went with Witch King instead of Murderbot or Raksura

Ah, to be honest I’ve only read Witch King, but Murderbot and Raksura are on my TBR. Great to hear they’re also queer normative! Which one should I read first?

@@tandemcollective I would go with Murderbot. I love both series, but Murderbot is such a great character. :)
