He goes from Duggan to Herbert and he still hasn't reached his ceiling? NFL going to find out how good he is with a HOF QB.

We want Herbert to stretch the field. We gave him the protection (time) the last few drafts. Now we're giving him the target. It's gonna be fun the next few years with this duo

Finally we got him young blood, Keenan is a slot only guy now and Mike has hit his ceiling as a great #2 outside. QJ has the potential to be a top 5 WR with his ceiling.

People forget he was ranked 1 wr in a lot of boards before all the analyst started dissecting for everything little thing. He got some solid speed, you can see it from his vertical route catches. A lot of the throws seem under thrown by his college qb With the help of KA and Mike to teach him + a bonafide stud QB like Herbert, he is destined to succeed. Can’t teach height and length.

A lot of his deep balls were short as well you give him herbert throwing those balls. Johnston won’t have to stop for the ball they are all tds. Can’t wait to see him in those power blues

A lot of his body catches were because his qb was under throwing everything to him and he had to always stop and come back to the ball at the ssme time absorb hits he knew was coming with herbert throwing to him it will be completely different he already looks completely different first day with herbert throwing to him all his catches have been smooth hand plucking from herbert passing to him

Don’t get people dissing this pick. Johnston ran a 4.5 40 but he plays a lot faster. Just watch the highlights he outruns or gets behind everybody. He’s big and strong too, I can’t wait to watch him on the field with Allen and Williams. Plus Herbert can find out about Johnston’s strengths by talking with Duggan now that he’s in the QB room.

@itzcapondabeat Год назад
The Post play at 9:30 vs OklaSt that should have been a TD (underthrown) is a prime example of how he plays faster in game than what his 4.4 says. He is a 4.3-4.4 guy on the field

This is the first time I'm watching his highlights. He's a lot better than I thought. He can play outside AND in the slot. People talk a out body catches, but he has plenty all hands catches on here. Speed, strength and WR moves like spins and jokes that you don't see from a guy that big. A healthy JSN is #1 all day, but I don't see why you don't have this dude at #2.
@ImShadeaux
@ImShadeaux Год назад
Honestly Agree!! I would say JSN or even Addison at #1 I think A lot of people are talking bad on him cause he had a bad game Vs Georgia. I mean Did Max Duggan really have enough time to throw vs a Defense like Georgia?
@ghostwalker89
@ghostwalker89 Год назад
@@ImShadeaux yeah that's stupid for people to knock him down about. It's like when Bama played Cincinnati. The difference in the line of scrimmage made that game irrelevant.
@ImShadeaux
@ImShadeaux Год назад
@@ghostwalker89 Exactly! I mean he was going up against Keele Ringo and Georgia had some real dialed up plays to stop him. I noticed one play where they had a safety come double cover him and then drop back into single coverage
@ghostwalker89
@ghostwalker89 Год назад
@@ImShadeaux Yeah it's like when people talk trash if Justin Jefferson doesn't go off in a game. 9/10 times a good defensive coach will scheme him out of a game by dedicating 2, sometimes 3 guys to him. When you don't have a really good second option, that can kill your passing game.

Thank you for a good highlight tape that outlines the player before the play without any poor choice in music or slomo B-roll footage of the player getting ready in a 3 minute dramatic intro.

I see a lot people bitching about him catching with his body which tells me most of you don’t understand the fundamentals of football at WR. If the ball is directly on top of you there’s nothing wrong with catching with ur body specially if the coverage is going to be contested but your route running is good enough that you box out the corner so he can’t knock the ball out of ur hands if you catch with it ur body vs trying to catch only with ur hands over head wear the corner can stick his hand to knock it down. I also notice most people not even mentioning the fact that he routinely would run threw arm tackles and showed no fear making the tough contested catches either in the middle field with defenders all around him or on routes like curls where he easily excelled at making defenders miss and gain tons of yards after the catch. He had huge players that either went for big yards or touchdowns off just simple, slants or again curls. So when I see a bunch of people complaining about him, catching the ball with his body, and not even mentioning all the other facets of his game just tells me how little you actually know about football and really shouldn’t be opening your mouth at all and trying to critique a young player who yes may have some things he needs to work on but already has plenty of skills that will translate perfectly at the NFL level and will now have the luxury of having a quarterback who will be throwing passes that will allow him to catch the ball right in front of them instead of making him adjust on his route to catch mid air and force him to use his body to make the catch. He basically had a Toyota throwing passes to him and now he’s got a Lamborghini and he’s gonna have a lot of fun as a charger with Justin Herbert as his quarterback mark my words.
