Quest 2/3 Beat Saber Custom Playlists - No PC - No BMBF 

The modding tutorial doesn’t work and is telling me to create a new folder to protect my privacy please help

So, this guide would be for after you downgrade/mod. Just a way easier way to get a whole ton of songs in a curated playlist then searching and downloading each individually. Depending which version you down grade to affects which music packs you have access to. Currently can downgrade to 1.28 or 1.35. 1.28 has more mods but 1.35 of a newer and more stable. There’s a method using sidequest to save your scores but I don’t have a video on that right now. All music packs will return after reinstalling beat saber to live and redownloading the packs. (No repurchasing necessary).

@@witcherwolf870 hmm, I’ll have to check into it. The main issue people have been having with using this guide is that they don’t mod first. But this sounds like a website issue.

Unfortunately, Meta has pushed an update out everywhere that has stopped modding using only the headset. They are rolling out a fix but also rolling out another update that nullifies that fix as well. Only thing to do is to wait until you get on a version that has the ability to mod and there is no eta when that will be.

@@Max09620 I’ll do it. But the scoped storage needs to be pushed out before I do. As soon as I can do it myself, I’ll get a new tutorial out. With the missing folders locked out, no one is able to mod right now.

Could you link which guide in particular? This playlist guide works as long as you are modded. As for the “can’t use for security/privacy” issue. That was caused by google and pushed through by meta. Meta is working on a fix but there’s no eta when that will be. What guide are you using that is having this message appear?

This is for quest 3, it’s for installing playlists. Not for modding the game.

Is that after modding? Do you have space on your headset? How big is the playlist that you’re adding?

@@BearskiVR No, whenever I go to mod it, it says to patch it and I click on it and it asks for permissions and I click on the files then when it goes back it makes me do it again.

You would mod for custom songs first then use this for custom playlists.

I’ll double check the procedure tonight, this isn’t the first time this question has come up. But others seem to be installing without an issue. Might be the download button you’re clicking.

They are still there, as long as you don’t factory reset, the modded songs stay in a safe folder.

@@Solocup408 how long ago? Bmbf was moved to legacy around January. When meta released v63. Needed to use a pc then. A new method was also developed around March that allowed modding with just an android device. I’d recommend reinstalling beat saber and trying either of those methods to get modded beat saber back.

No worries! This is to get more of a curated experience. Could come in useful instead of having a monster library.

Nah bro, you need to have the game modded first before you can get the custom playlists to work. I can see the appeal of the curated playlists. Makes building a bad ass library really easy,

@@darknessplayzgames2799 Questpatcher should work regardless of the power of the pc. Its a pretty basic program. Currently there is no way to mod without a pc until meta releases the modding hot fix. (Well, there may be a way but I'm still working on it)

Straight answer, you are downloading something from the web. So there is a chance. It's a very very small chance but it is still a chance. So, proceed at your own risk but you should be fine in this case.

I’ve never modded beat saber before, how do you mod it, before is said mod data and it had beat saber but I deleted the games in mod data and idk how to get it back

@@BearskiVR wait do you have to change the update of the game to mod, because I had purchased music packs that are in newer updates.

@@QuestAnimations you could use mods by Friday to still have access to the newer music packs or you could downgrade with a pc. The newer packs would be inaccessible until you update back to live but you wouldn’t need to repurchase.

There’s a maybe, but I haven’t tested it yet. It has supposedly worked for bonelabs. There’s definitely a way to mod with an android device.

@@BearskiVR Iv managed to follow the other steps to down load songs but I suppose I need this step to bring it in to the game? Would an older version work? Or are they sort of done and finished due to the new update?

@@BearskiVR it's like it'll be fine for part of the song then audio seems to lag or the sabers aren't moving as fast as I'm flicking
