1 Thing to mention: it is possible to have fingertracking with your quest 2 and virtual Desktop, even in VR Chat. In fact i activated it just yesterday, after seeing a RU-vid Video. You just need to Do some settings in your quest options and virtual Desktop. Isnt even 5 Minutes of work to put up
Tried this and finger tracking works excellent through virtual desktop, and works well if you're not planning to move at all while tracking your fingers in VRchat lol. the problem arises that while you're in finger tracking mode, no other in game options are available, there are no hand gestures for opening the VRC menu or hand "locomotion" for moving around, unlike the vrchat quest finger tracking. Waiting for the day for true VRC PCfingies implementation 🙏🙏🙏
@@jimmyallgood781 I know what you mean! It’s good if you’re standing still and moving hands or doing sign language. But if you want to walk or pull up menu, it’s not possible. On quest stand alone, you can at least punch your fingers to walk. I wish virtual desktop had this at least
Keep in mind the quest 3 can use its upper body tracking in virtual desktop so you can basically have fake FBT to an extent it’s pretty cool there’s even the dodge arcade for free in app lab as a demo for it. And you can use like slime or some other trackers for your legs and if I remember rightly you can technically mix em
Thanks for the video! Quick question for you. In the video, are you using an external microphone or the quest 3's microphone? I really want to upgrade to the 3 but i heard the 2's microphone was much better and 3's in general was not good. It sounds good in your video so im hoping thats from the quest.
I plugged in my Quest 3 to my gaming pc and the mic in my opinion is good. I even asked my friends and had anothe friend try out my headset and listened myself. In the worse case possible you could get a cheap wireless mic if you find the sound is not good
Is it better for the resolution from the avatars in vrchat ? Because I have a quest 2 and the experience to see the avatars from other people are bad….. could you please answer me ? Thank you, have a great day girl
@@eduardorheda7102 do you use pcvr or quest only? From my experience pcvr is about the same but if you’re using vrchat on meta it’s a little better. But not great enough to buy a new headset in my opinion. If you want to upgrade seeing better avatars, get a pc!
Really better battery life??? I have been planning to get into VR and everywhere I look they say Quest 3 battery life is dismal. Supposedly it even drains when plugged into the wall.
plugged into the wall? Did you use the charging brick that came with the quest 3? Otherwise that's most likely why it isn't charging. I have a quest 3 and everything seems pretty good (especially with the new Meta updates, they've improved it dramatically). Also I heard a rumor that they supposedly improved the battery life recently, though I haven't noticed much of a difference. I mainly play with a link cable so I can't say much about how long the battery lasts on average.
I bought a Meta-Oculus Rift S one year before they dropped their support of this product. The Rift S worked well until I updated my computer. Now two years later and after a year of Meta stupid suggestions for getting my Rift S working again, it's still not working. I have a $400 paper weight that Meta refuses to fix even though they say my new computer should not be a problem. I cannot recommend buying any Meta products due to their lack of customer service and having a chance of the same dropping of older products support. Meta basically has no customer service and only lip service!
