You are welcome. It took me a surprisingly long time to realize that USB-C can be connected the wrong way 😅 so I wanted to make sure that other people will known connect everything in the proper way.
I enjoyed watching your video but i was unable to find a capture card with power. But due to the video, I started playing around and was able to get my Vita to work on the Quest 3 which felt like a win and wanted to give you my thanks for sparking my interest on playing games through the Quest with the web cam app.
@@Thomas_VolandI was able to find the powered capture card but I get the same result. I have tried different apps but I always get the pop up to connect over and over again after accepting. I was on v67 and now v68 with no luck. Thanks again for your videos and if you have any advice I would be much appreciated.
@@ehrenmayer5804 are you using Hagibis or different card? Did you watch my last video about common problems with Meta Link? Is your microphone muted? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yf0gHHNivpo.htmlsi=fNuyrGxpqM6j2xwW
I think I'm close to memorizing this video. Thank you. No matter what wire configuration i try, my quest 2 will not hit usb3. Even directly into the unit.
Hi I have got USB camera Pro from the Google play store but it does not open in my Quest 3 Where can I find a modded APK file from? Please can you help?
I can attest after using gamepass on my quest three then going back to my normal 62” screen is jarring. This could be a game changer for external platforms being integrated into quest.
@@Thomas_Voland that’s awesome would love to see you test it out and check out how they run…. I’m sure it would get tons of hits. Especially if you don’t need a PC to do this.
did this a year ago with the Pico4, works there as well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UXy3R9vTHuk.html you use your switch without dock... isnt it limited to 720p when using it without dock?
Maybe with paid version of USB Camera, I don't have any Android device with Google services to check it. Probably you want it for something else than Switch, because Switch is 60 fps max, and often less than 30. However you will also need different capture card, and because PD port is very unique on these devices, also PD USB hub will be needed for charging headset at the same time.
@@Thomas_Voland I was thinking about plugging in my ps5. I have remote play but the latency is too much to play most games. I’d love a video on how to do this if you can!
@@kozzyg3369 it is exactly the same just much more simply and I already have video about it: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Gez65bhp-Xo.html.
@@dancingkirby3591 USB Camera is customizable, which is important for some slower cards, not fast enough for standard Meta Link settings. But on card from my video it doesn’t matter.
Hello. Saw this video when it first dropped...convinced me to getting a quest 3. How is this new hdmi link from meta different from your original method?
It's just easier now for new users. Developer's account is not needed anymore, and app can be downloaded from official Meta Store, and not side loaded like USB Camera.
OoT, but I really need to know: What are those Keypads to the left and right on the desk??? I want them! Remind me of gameboards like the Razer Tartarus but including a leftie model.
@@aidancallaghan7059 in my video about VOD ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t2Wjy35Iaa8.htmlsi=I2c8QDl3VAsziq28 I talk more about different cards, but for games only USB 3.0 are good enough and other brand usually don’t have PD port.
@@Thomas_Voland like the device has latency. Every tv and monitor has latency. The delay from pushing a button to seeing something happen on screen. So playing something with precise timing would be very hard to do with high latency
Thank you for your video and detailed explanations 😎 Did you try VR mode of NINTENDO games? Zelda BOTW, Super Mario Odysseey, Captain Toad and some more do have that option (to be used with their LABO Cardboard goggles and others)?
@@claudita1707 I didn’t try it. Unfortunately even frame rate of 2D games and graphics quality is terrible on Switch 😞 I hope they will release much better console with DLSS 2.x and 3.5.
@@Thomas_Voland thank you for your reply. I mean, did you try it using the Quest attached to your Switch? When enabling VR mode in the game, I guess it should then be displayed in VR on the Quest. Once again, many thanks, with best regards from Austria 😊
@@Thomas_Voland Do you have a suggestion? You have supplied such detail I can't believe that I'm unable to get this to switch to usb3. Ugh, now I'm being "that" guy.
I tired to get this to work but when I click on devices to allow hagbis to always use usb camera it seems to not same my setting. Can’t get the video of my switch to show. Anyone else have this problem?
Actually got it to work. Had to supply power to the USB HDMI capture card and to the HDMI cable to the switch. Video showed up immediately. So rule of thumb is to provide power to the usb capture card as well as plug the power into the card once card is already on the quest 2/3.
@@Thomas_Voland yes after seeing the video again I finally caught your note about it. Thanks for your video. Great instructions! Just idiots like me who missed a step. Got to excited. Going to try this with my Steam Deck later.
I dont understand, whats the point of this setup ? so Instead of looking at your TV while playing Switch, you're wearing a VR headset to look at a virtual TV screen. Thanks for explaining.
I don't think that anyone is looking at TV being in Airplane, during long car trip etc. And probably most people don't have 150" TV. I have only 100" projector screen so I have to seat 2m from it to have big screen, when on Quest I can seat anywhere in the room.
It allows you to play video games when you wouldn't normally be able to play video games. Someones using the tv, people sleeping, on a plane, bus, etc. Comprehension isnt your strong suit..
