+Stan Kix watch the Kinjaz/Super Crew performance, pause when the two guys are in the crowd and are about to do the thing with the red hankies. Look on the left for the guy in the tux with the red rose. Victor Kim. There's a screen shot of him in the audience that day running around the internet.
Dark Gohan I do too. Vic was a huge inspiration for me. But he has to do what he believes is best for him and the crew needs to keep moving forward with or without him.
Close. Victor was in kinjaz before kinjaz even got their name literally. Right before they called themselves kinjaz, they were known as the “Anbu black ops”. That was his first actual performance crew. I’m not caught up with the times but if he did go join kinjaz before retiring, that just meant he wanted to return to his original crew
D-Trix revealed in his video where he reacted to watching old Quest Crew performances that all of them at the end were supposed to be looking up before the beat drops, but Ryan was already looking down. You can tell that Ryan realized that he messed up, so he went back up and then came down again.
No matter how idiotic they act behind scenes, one thing remains true about Quest Crew is they bring their emotions to the dance floor and you can see it in their faces. Whether it be happy or sad, you can see it in their moves and in their faces. No disrespect to any other crews, but this is why I love Quest Crew.
+Enjoyablemonk Most of the other performances have a bunch of jumpcuts to highlight different parts of the dance. Unlike those other pieces, this one uses a single shot because Quest Crew utilized only one section of the dance space they're allowed to use. That's why it's so impressive.
[This is my honest opinion, you don't have to agree to this ] This is why quest crew deserves to win.. Quest crew is a group of best friends that loves to dance together and enjoy everything they've got. Super crew and kinjaz have ELITE dancers from red bull so I feel like the award should go to quest crew.. If super crew or kinjaz win I will respect them. Quest crew was also in the buttom 2 for 2 weeks and they fought their way to the top, sadly they sent I Am me crew home with this emotional performance AND incase you guys didn't know Victor Kim was in the audience that say when they filmed this episode :) [ BEST OF LUCK QUEST CREW ]
+Crayon Jambe Jambe "Quest crew performs at the she cares celebrity basketball game" at around 5:23 minutes. It's after they dance to Britney Spears Toxic and Ryan was snapping his fingers like a girl for too long xD
Aww I love reading the comments when someione notices nice things that I haven't seen before, thank you! :) This moves..you can feel the friendship and at their faces..they just love it and to be together, I guess its true friendship
I love how this is something we probably would have never seen 5-6 years ago in abdc, and it just felt right for a grown-up Quest Crew to come back for the final season and show everyone the maturity in their dance, crew, and themselves.
The move my Jolee at 00:42 was one of Victor's moves. Jolee was then pulled away from the center stage and the group. Symbolism? Idk I think it was kinda cool that they put "Victor" in this performance.
+Merinda B found him, he's in a tux with a rose in his pocket, if you're looking at the bottom left, which i was doing lol whoever said that was wrong, just look to the left of left Kinjaz performer. 1 left and 1 up, he's literally next to the performer but up 1.
This was the performance that won the competition for me. You all are funny and dynamic, no doubt... but you are also capable of choreographing something deep and meaningful.
So many yrs past but this is still want of the best performance in abdc history.. the fact that they all return to the original spot at the end is like reminding themselves of their humble origins
I think I'm either a behind the scenes video for this dance or one of D-Trix's videos he explains the meaning behind the dance and that might be why he was crying 😊.
He was. I believe he said that it was because he had seen Victor in the crowd. And for those that don't know who Victor is, he was one of their old members, but chose to retire from Quest Crew due to mental health reasons. He wasn't at his peak and he needed time to himself. So for D-Trix to see him at one of their performances had to have been quite emotional.
this is why i think quest deserved the win. they are versatile enough to know and show how to perform dance, have fun and enjoy, work hard and maintain accuracy and team spirit, and most of all, excellent with connections with the people. meaning, if they were to perform in music videos after the competition, it would be easy for them to handle business matters well. if they were to promote a commercial, they would do it well. if they were to entertain in live tv shows, they would do it well. and if they were to meet you live, they would relate with you well. in the end, it's not all about dance techniques alone, but the connection you make with the people through dance. disconnect to connect.
This is my fav routine in this abdc season and probably of all time. It's so beautiful how you got to let us in your jorney just through that bench and your talent. So emotional! Congrats again ☺
It seems like every performance I see of theirs, I think that Ryan is crazy with all the stunts he does. :) I loved this one. All moments on the bench were awesome, especially with Ryan's crazy stunts. But it's not just the stunts, because the choreography was so intricate and precise. I could watch this routine over and over again.
Dear Quest Crew, I hope you'll be able to see this, but it would be awesome if you made a video explaining the symbolism in this piece. I can see all the thought you guys put into this and it would be great if more people knew about the real story behind you guys as a crew. :) You fun-loving guys are so much more than meets the eye, and the struggles you've been through and backstories are what make each of you so endearing.
+Cheryl Chong Well the part where Steve sits on the bench after his first trick probly refers to his injury that almost paralyzed him and I think Jolee's spin followed by being dragged out was a reference to Victor leaving (Victor used to do that spin trick). Definitely looking forward to a full explanation!
+Cheryl Chong It is also important to note that the bench (the yellow one) represents a decision the crew has to make. Part ways or stay together, like at a train station. The whole dance was a reminiscence of what they been thru. They were faced with that decision before and after the dance, representing that they are still trying to hang on. #brotherhood
My favorite dance crew! I got to meet them once. Dtrix acted like I didn’t exist, Ryan seemed like he didn’t want to be there but the rest were really nice especially Hok and Steve.
this is hands down one of the best performances I've ever seen it just fills me with so much emotion and a feeling of doing whatever must be done to reach my goal
definitely deserve the final two spot.. but one has to win :) i love kinjaz as well, if they have won i would also be happy, what i only hate are those fans who are talking trash to other crew. sorry but quest crew deserves the title
@Olivia • This could have contributed, but I believe in one of his previous videos he stated it was because he had seen Kim in the audience. Which, seeing as he was one of their founding members and life long friends, would be very heart wrenching.
Ok, I think I got the story, no hate for it please, but after jolee flips hok and ryanimay sorta jumps, I think it symbolizes that members were having a hard time, that they were about to leave, then when jolee started the arm-freeze spin, it was a nod to victor, and also how jolee came into quest, than steve's flip was him getting injured, and d-trix and the bench afterwards was him getting into an argument with the rest and his leave from quest, but after a while everyone had the strength to continue on as quest
Even though I don't think they've should've won.. This performance I actually respect to the fullest. Cause they actually put true meaning in this dance ..... Big Ups Quest.
