Quest for Glory is a franchise consisting of hybrid adventure/role-playing video games, which were designed by Corey and Lori Ann Cole and published by Sierra
Many CRPG enthusiasts consider the Quest for Glory series to be among the best in the genre and the series is lauded for its non-linearity.
The games are notable for blending the mechanics of adventure video games and roleplaying video games , their unique tone and the game systems which were ahead of their time, such as day-night cycles, non-playable characters which adhered to their own schedules within the games, and character improvement through both skill practice and point allocation.
Each career path has its own strengths and weaknesses, and scenarios unique to the class because of the skills associated with it. Each class also has its own distinct way to solve various in-game puzzles, which improve the longevity of the series.
In this documentary, we will have an in depth analysis of each game in the series. Quest for glory is an iconic franchise for every adventure fan and deserve a complete retrospective. Join me as we enter a world of high fantasy, adventure and combat.

I loved Quest For Glory 2. For me it is the pinnacle of the series, and AGD Interactive did an amazing job of reproducing the game (they also did a couple of KQ games). The feeling I had when I first became a paladin was pretty darn good.

Great overview. This was one of my favorite games growing up and still is. I still have the original boxed version of Hero's Quest. I couldn't beat QFG 4 because of a bug that crashed the game when you got to a certain point, so I never played 5. I thought about trying to do the series again but I just haven't had the time.

The first QFG (vga remake) was and still is one of my favorite games ever!I still remember being a teenager that I was going to the inn every night and was walking downstairs just to watch the fireplace and cat!What truly great games :) Still though,If you wanna play them you can get all 5 for 6$ at gog.com.The versions there are the cdrom ones and patched so you will not have the issues that IV and III had

The 2 VGA remakes are some of my fav games, really wish I enjoyed 3 and 4 as much. They have good bits in them though!@@TholinGamer

Fantastic deep dive. I remember playing 1 and 4 and loving them, and was happy to see o already own the whole series on GOG so this is going on my playlist for 2022

The Kaijit race is very similar to the cat merchants from Quest for Glory. I bet bethesda guys played a lot Quest for glory

I’m pretty sure Bethesda straight up ripped it off. The Katta race are basically Arabian people. In oblivion and Skyrim, they have a very similar accent as a few Middle East dialects.

Love the video and great delve intto each entry for those maybe unfamiliar to the scenario, unfortunately you used footage of the fan made vga remake when covering "trial by fire" which I feel the original true '90 EGA release would be more appropriate. Also I had a long convo with Corey Cole about I UT the explanation for thw development of Wages of war which is more complex than the typical reasons us fans have heard

Thank you for your kind words and sorry for my mistake on Trial by Fire, i plan to correct it in a revised video. I'd love to know what Corey had shared with you on the development of Wages and, maybe, his thoughts on the current situation with the rights holder and Microsoft and a possible rekindling of the QFG cantle :)
