Good on you for finally looking for happiness from within instead of from another relationship, Britt was so damn toxic, she was far from being mature or classy

Ryan I have a few thoughts that I would like to share with you. First, believe me when I tell you I have been subjected to some of the very same situations in my life as you. Stay strong and you will succeed!!! You have already made the conscious decision to alter your situation/life by reaching out for help, bravo!!!! Something I might suggest is get the acid reflux under control asap, if you have stomach acid that burbles up on you at night while sleeping/laying down, and might wake you up with a disgusting acid burning taste that gallons of water cant suppress. That same acid is present during the day (but usually much less noticeable) and is absolutely detrimental to your tooth enamel, which may be one reason for your tooth decay. It’s really not my business, but it is my observation that you may miss Brit for many reasons, but they are the wrong reasons. The relationship with Brit might have been a roller coaster of fun, but not a healthy relationship, and especially not fair or healthy for you. To state the obvious, Brit is very young and you are a middle aged man! Not that there is anything wrong with either of you, but you are worlds apart in life’s journey. I wish you all the best!! Stay strong, you will come out on top.

Both well-noted, and I don’t disagree

Oh Dear Ry, so sorry you are in a bad place. But I’m glad that you realize it and are trying to better yourself. That is the most important! The first time I got prescribed an antidepressant (celexa) it took about two weeks for it to kick in and let me tell you, it was life changing. It was like a weight lifted off of me. Anyway, I’m proud of you for seeking help. You got this!! I believe in you.

I'm just wondering if you'll have to take the drug for the rest of your life. I think that's what many people are worried about when it comes to antidepressants. They worry that they will become dependent upon it.

@@user-sg8kq7ii3y well I can only vouch for myself, after being on the Celexa for a while and being able to do things I couldn’t do before, got me out of that rut and gave me confidence to do things I couldn’t do without it. So things got a lot easier to do. Then you can slowly decrease the dosage to nothing. Hope this helps.

Way to go, Ryan! I'm sure it isn't an easy step to take, but I'm so glad you did. You are right. You never know who else might watch this and then also decide to seek help. Surround yourself with positive people and anyone who makes you feel bad, cut them out of your life. Challenge yourself to see how much you can do to make real healthy and positive changes. Everyone deserves that. 👏

The antidepressants are for people who have a chemical imbalance in the brain. If you have that condition, they will help you. And you may have that & that lack of what your brain needs can lead to alcoholism. But you also have a genetic predisposition for alcoholism in your family. Seeing someone for addiction is a good first step. Seeing your family dr. is too. But having an ‘addictive personality’ doesn’t just include drugs & alcohol. It can include relationships, work ethic, eating habits, etc. I don’t think I’m telling you anything you don’t already know, Ry. Imo, you seemed the happiest when you were with Chelsea. You have to let go of B bc she is very toxic for you. That’s another addiction…can’t have a healthy relationship bc you don’t feel like maybe you deserve one? You’ve jumped so fast into all of the relationships you’ve mentioned, that you haven’t taken the time to find out who Ryan really is & what he needs to & wants to be healthy. So, take a minute. Concentrate on YOU! I, for one, would miss you. 🙂❤️ P.S. My opinion may not count for much? But my experience does. 25 years ago, I traveled the same road your on. Only my journey did take me to that very dark place & into it. I’m living proof that you do not want to go there! I did it twice bc the first time didn’t work? Was brought back & realized it just wasn’t me that I was destroying but it was my parents daughter, my sister’s sis, my kid’s mother & now, my grandkid’s grandmother. It took a hell of a lot of hard work but here I am! All the tears, anger, anxiety, & fear was worth it to have that life & living that life to the best of my ability. My journey is far from over & I can’t wait to see what’s next! I know you can get there, too, Ryan.

Oh, I know who Ryan is. I don’t need to discover that. I spend most of my life alone, whether I have a partner or not

You're a very authentic and open person, Ryan. You share parts of your life that most people would never share. Get back to physical activity, and anchor your life around your physical and mental training. That's where your roots lie. That's what your channel was mostly about in the past. Tai chi, boxing, jiu jitsu, weight training, etc. I know you've mentioned that you cannot run anymore, so maybe go hiking more, paddle your kayak, ride a bike, etc. You know better than anyone that regular fitness training promotes health in both mind and body. The endorphins released will help a lot. Go back to your roots, my friend. Hang in there!

Leaving Chels was the biggest mistake. You left a grounded, stable woman for a irresponsible child. You want companionship but you sure choose the wrong ones.

Good on you Ryan for sharing your mental health struggles. That takes courage, but I believe it needs to be talked about. Good luck and I look forward to your updates.
