Classic only player here, I didn't get the joke. I quit after Mists of Pandaria, I got back into it and I only play classic. I definitely got the classic joke though.
@@jdspetersgaming because he's not dumb enough to waste months grinding its power up. He leaves that boring part to the one he sarcastically calls "champion".
still was nice quest to do, i did it to and didn't regret it, it felt like I'm "exploring the world" something current totally lost its basically go here to point A idiot, sick of so much hand holding
As someone who played the Shadowlands Pre-Patch... Accurate. I was kidnapped from Legion when my Druid hit 50 by Chromie and then Magni kidnapped me to Silithus.
Thats funny because there is no portal in Silitus so you should run by yourself from Uldum and only after this you can make a portal to BfA. And even after this you still should run by yourself.
@@kyotheman69 I've spent DAYS in Strangleronce trying to have all the pages back in WoW Vanilla xD. Sure there might be tips and peculiar methods to speed it up greatly, but I'm talking from a casual pov.
To do that you need to be a Frost Death Knight and use Grip with a /hug macro while also using the train toy as soon as you've activated Pillars of Frost while doing the chicken dance, that's the only known method to get past him. Some theory crafters also believe that it's possible as an Arcane Mage if you're in a party with a Beast Mastery Hunter, if the hunter first misdirects you while also firing a Steady Shot at a Gently Squeezed Toad, while simultaneously the mage uses Evocation while in Ice Block with a /silly macro targeting MOTHER, while the hunter coordinates his pets to do a flamenco, further testing is needed.
dude i was in tears at the last bit, that flappy birds part OMG, sad how wow has fallen, I still haven't logged in to wow, I'm more fun playing mobile game known as genshin impact then running back to new xpac lol
@@Nuclayer exactly, i don't get who upvotes this crap maybe the guy in vanilla was figuring out which pages he needed to put the set together but in classic, we all looked on wowhead and knew what we needed, then got it from AH spending hours, let alone weeks, on it doesn't make you any smarter than walking the "blizzard line"
That would have been great, shank the mage, kill the questgiver, kite a world boss to the quest hub so they're engaged fighting the boss for the next 30 minutes and the mage can't turn in the quest.
Yeah particularly when it seemed to emphasise the page number of the one he had I was sure it was going to make it so he had 5 of that page. I guess that was the part where he had pages on the wall but the humour didn't hit as hard as I was expecting. And the Shadowlands part was really meh. This video has great potential but didn't quite hit the spot.
@@Evelyn208 Classic fanbois want to crap on SL to feel better about hating retail but their material is pretty weak so far. BFA is a much easier target
Vanilla: We put a small corpse, scroll, book or map at the middle of nowhere without any marks. You find it? Good, it is a quest starter. Also we have items with rare drop chance that starts interesting quest chains.
For me it was, I have a quest to thunder bluff. Zeppelin A, takes me to Org and UC zeppelin B goes to stv where there are tauren guards patrolling the road tagged as from TB. So makes sense to level 8 me that thunder bluff is here somewhere. 45 minutes of being killed by level 35 mobs out of nowhere I look it up. Turns out logic and circumstantial evidence was not helpful.
or when you enter low level den, clear it for 2 hours, some how kill the golden mob and finally reaches the chest with low level drinks, some potions and golden bar... yep..
Every single quest which had the option of buying an item on the AH, I would buy it on the AH. Gold was harder to come by true but it was not impossible.
@@ygnihteci00 but you get more exp if u complete quests when they r orange (so on 31-33lvl or so). and it's better to farm stv when u r 35+, it's even more true if u r melee (my rogue felt great damaging green mobs). So i usually run there with all pages (on overpopulated server each is like 5-8s), turn em, get money from seeking awards and then return at 35 after clearing all lower zones ;) Iirc whole chain gives 11k exp, once i completed it on 35+lvl and got like 5-8k exp. Doesn't worth it
One thing that has been bothering me so much in retail - invisible walls everywhere!! Sometimes you cannot even jump on top of a small box or other objects. They actually purposefully designed it that way...
You forgot the amazing Shadowlands questing experience known as: 'I am ready'. Walk a few footsteps following an npc. 'I am ready'. Walk a few footsteps following an npc. 'I AM ^&%$ing READY!'
the equivalent in-game sound effect playing when the character is doing certain actions is the kind of attention to detail that makes this a top tier channel. I love each and every one of these skits!
This was so fu***** hilarious 😂😂😂 the 15 pages stranglethorn quest..i did that and it was such a pain. Your BFA heart of Azeroth quest with the blizzard machine was absolute brilliant :) thanks for the short video!!
Okay, but that was only the end of BFA - and the single-path railroading cookie-cutter questing continued to be all of Shadowlands. You were only free to level up by doing world-quests on alts after you'd completed the grind-tour once and still had to complete your covenant story (which wasn't too bad). Kul Tiras is one of my favourite questing zones in the game. Draenor was incredible for the same reason. Open and free questing. Incredibly thematic and immersive settings. Short, gripping plots that tell a grand story of the land together. People absolutely took these zones for granted.
Great video. I was just playing TBC for the first time and no quest in my starting zone had any rewards I could actually equip but I sold them all for like 75 copper and bought a new spell so it was worth it.
Bro, I bought the game at release.. when I got my first mount, I slow walked from Goldshire to Stormwind town square on it. Took months of casual play.
If I remember correctly though, the green hills quest gave a ton of experience at least! A ton for classic. Thats also if you actually get all the pages while in the level range, I usually purchased all mine from the AH.
As a returning player from WotLK, and then afterwards giving Classic a spin, I can say this is spot on. WoW has lost the RPG and is now just an Arena esports game
The most memorable moment for me in Shadowlands was leaving bastion and, getting tossed into the arena of maldraxxus and the pure chaos and then people trying to pvp inside of that chaos it was pretty cool honestly.
This is freaking PERFECT. I literally had the BFA situation happen to me when I screwed up some quest so long it was just like "f it, mother solved it for you, whatever". And lol flappy bird at the end omg, perfect mobile game reference. /chefskiss
When he was standing on the rock in STV after the 1st page I was just expecting him to start yelling 'WTT pages have 1,5,7. Need 11,22,25!' over and over
Actually, you failed that flappy bird quest. Feet were way too close to the spikes! 😋 The hitboxes on these things are so broken. I like the idea of minigames, but the execution... Looks like it was coded by a kid... with his feet... past his bedtime.
This is so accurate. I remember they made the change.... BC. I remember this one alliance quest where you had to find a body by a river. If you didn’t know where it was, good luck. Then it was like, a giant glowing beacon. On one hand, it’s nice being able to see things easier but like.... a lot of times it’s just TOO easy.
The quest in Shadowands are awesome they’ve made some really interesting quests and tons of hidden shit y out can do in the open world like the Larion mount
like what? kill x mobs, fill x amount of stuff on the progress bar? loot x amount of items? It's just more of the same with little reward. open world mounts and pets has been a thing since forever, too, nothing new in SL .. Shut up, lmao.
Because classic had such creative quests *Gather 20 teeth* *40 kills later, you have 3 teeth* *Kill 10 wolves* "There are 6-7 wolves wandering an area, you need to kill EXACTLY these ones, with a way too long respawn timer" *Deliver this across the map* *Escort this guy to the other guy* Face it, GAMEPLAY WISE is Shadowlands superior. It might be a bit easy at times, that I don't argue. But fuckin hell it is a tedious chore 90% of the time.
Shadowlands one should actually be the player following a npc for an escort quest, cuz god damn those are legit half of the quests in shadowlands (campaign)
why does someone have to mention that clown in every WoW video on youtube. Stop giving him value. Hes only as powerful and influential because you guys keep giving him value.
@@Sound_Spark thats an instrument way to play the game. Try to enjoy the lore and world setting and skip battle mechanics. WoW is not about session tryharding
This is so precise! And exactly why I have returned immediately to classic. Just wondering if in next expansion blizzard, instead of being able to skip cutscenes for the game, they add an option to skip game for cutscenes and dialogs.
Agreed. Lots of concepts in Classic were more DnDish - racial abilities played a bigger role, classes had weak/strong matchups, if you weren't a healing class you had to have bandages. Latest expansion, everyone's got self healing through an ability, every class can 1v1, and buffs/debuffs are no longer limited to one class. Flavor vs. Convenience.
I'm ok with addons. It's just the direction they've taken with the game now, it's gross and just doesn't feel good. Everything is handed to you. Everything is so linear. There's no spectacle or majesty or curiosity anymore. Just feels "meh". It's like going to McDonalds just to get a large fry because you're addicted to fresh, hot, salty McDonald's french fries, but when you get them they're cold.
@honeybobo i have a large cocko I agree with both versions of the game being for different people. I think the way they are taking the game now is fine for people who start playing now. For me, in general (mythic raiding excluded) the game feels very boring and uninspired. I know I'm not alone in this. I prefer the more original style of the game
About the STV pages: You would never find page 1 as the first. You would end up paying a huge amount of gold for it on AH, because you were almost done with all the STV quests, and just wanted to move on, but were missing just one page. Also, after one of the later expansions, you only had to find like, 4-6 pages, and it took less than 30min to farm them
Sometimes if RNG was not with you in classic it could get bothersome to grind out that last missing page, then again you got a bucketload of XP/gold/items to sell later.
