I knew from the moment that they steamrolled Paula Bennett that National wouldn't have a chance at the following election. Was definitely a good day for us on the left. She is a formidable opponent and seemed to be the only politician in the National Paŕty that had any clue on working as the opposition
Probably a shame for the People of New Zealand to never see him as a PM. However seeing the Nationals offed him at one point tells me they were not open to his advice.
He was quite clear the night of the election saying that he would leave the question of which party he would support up to the council of the NZ First Party and the list MP's who were contacted to become Members. He really does not want to allow himself to get into arguments he might not be the best one to solve.
