I've done many road trips alone. Stress free not answering to anyone. Do what you want when you want. The only part that sucks is when you see something cool you have nobody to share it with. But I still love it.

Try to go through Red deer Dave. We get a lot of Alaska bound traffic coming through on Hgy 2. I hope you enjoy western Canada ! Your really gonna like the drive down the Alaska highway , its been years for me but truly the best drive your gonna make scenery wise.

The Jamestown Buffalo is cool. On your way home, stop into New Salem ND and check out the largest Holstein cow!

Thanks for the side visit to Jamestown and the big buffalo. Stopped there with my lovely bride on a road trip several years ago. When your hat blew away, I recalled there was a rolling field pasture full of buffalos beside the statue. Sign in the field said the bull could outrun any human. Enjoy your trip!

I've tripped down the US roads more then once, long ago. Last trip was over 3 years ago. That I can remember, I didn't miss the company of anyone and I dreaded having to end my freedom and return to the grind in a cage like environment. Good luck Dave, I hope you find peace and freedom the rest of your life.

That purple snout makes her real purdy ;-). I would really love to see you go through Jasper and Banff national parks on the way back if you haven't already. They're supposed to be the most beautiful and what started the Canadian National Park system I believe.

Enjoy the trip! I drove many of miles on a stick without cruise control. Frequent breaks are a must.

My experience crossing into Canada, no issues! Surprisingly it's entering back into the USA that was more thorough. They were much more picky.... And I'm a US citizen.
