Moni, what about living expenses? Apart from the tuition and fees, are we not supposed to submit a bank statement showing that you can pay for the remaining deficit from your tuition and your living expenses/other fees before they can issue you i20 form?
Actually, No admission letter comes with a GA letter together. This is not true. Once applicant receives admission they have to start searching for any open GA positions available by reaching out to their respective program contact or department chair. I received an admission couple of weeks ago but not along with GA letter although I was discussing with my program representative with regard to obtaining GA prior to submitting my application. Most universities will require you to be fully admitted prior to be considered for GA positions. Unless applicants secure full admission there is no way to be considered for GA positions. This is the reality.
Hi @simonjunior184 . I understand the point you are making. It’s true that generally you have to submit an application for GA after you have gotten admission for you to secure a GA position. However, I interviewed a friend that studied at my school who just completed her masters and she told me that she didn’t submit any formal application for GA before she got it. Instead she was recommended for the position. I will post her interview next month by God’s grace so we can hear how she got the GA without a formal application. Thank you for your comment anyway. I appreciate it.
@@simonjunior184 After she got the admission. It’s a generally known fact that you cannot get GA until after you have gotten admission. I watched the video again and I noticed where you were talking about and where the confusion was from 😊😊. I will try and explain better. Thank you for your kind comment.
@@monioluwaogunleye I'm trying to correct you what you said at the beginning of the video while you were answering first question and also repeated it when answering second question too. You said admission comes with GA. I think that's not accurate information.
@@simonjunior184 No, that’s not what I said. I said “sometimes, Admission comes with a GA while sometimes you will have to apply after you gain admission.” Although it’s not popular but the reason why I said “sometimes the admission comes with GA”is because of two of my close friend who got a GA without submitting a formal application after they gained admission. But in like 95% of the times you will have to apply formally for GA after you get your admission.
