I am a 60 year young Doctoral research student at the ISC Paris business school. I really enjoyed your presentation. It helped me to prepare for my first meeting with my doctoral supervisor.

Very insightful video. Ordinarily, the default setting of a new entrant would be to keep your cool and not ask questions to avoid "looking for trouble". And even when you realize it's okay and good to ask questions, you then begin to rack your head on a question to ask that is sensible and would not pursue you patapata i.e reduce your chances. This video definitely does justice to that "mystery". Thank you and well-done.

Thank you for watching. I’m glad you found it helpful. Yes, it is always better to have questions prepared, especially if things were not already made clear at the application stage or if the information is not readily available on the University website. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the insightful video, may i ask if a Ph.d interview is mandatory in the United Kingdom?

You are most welcome. Thank you for watching the video. I believe most PhD programmes require one to attend an interview after they have shortlisted applicants. Some programmes also require one to give a short presentation as part of the interview process. Some programmes may have specific details about this on their website, so you could check there or contact the supervisor(s) directly.
