I find you’re kitchen practices comforting, most video cooks never completely scrape the bowls. Reusing parchment is another great idea. You’re inspiring. Thank you
I have noticed too that you always clean the bowl/pan/jar for the last bits. I admired that; I don't like waste. I also think sometimes failure to do so can change the recipe! Thank you for good domos.
I do as well, drives me crazy when someone says like a 1/4 butter but when they add it they leave like a tablespoon in the measuring cup and Im like, well that is no longer a 1/4 cup lol.
Such a mom's life!! I had to giggle when you were explaining about making them happy with meals made with more love, because it is so true! Even as just my husband and I, he will absolutely gloat over how good something is when I have made extra effort to put it together, but when it's super simple, it's not nearly as much. Every day can't be an extravagant meal day, though, sometimes we have to simplify and make it an easy cook day. Food is love, though :)
I made this bread stick yesterday and this is March 21st that I’m writing this, I put them in the freezer as you said do. but first my husband and I tried them and oh man they are so so good.. I like to make a lot of your recipes. I love to learn how the mennonite people cook. Thank you for being you and teaching me and all of us. God Bless
Hello from Australia. I am new to your Chanel and am obsessed. The breadth and depth of your knowledge is extraordinary!! How incredibly skilled are the Mennonite Community. If everyone raised their children as you do what a different world it would be because you show love, patience, understanding and you encourage resilience and respect. You are such an inspiration!! I am well seasoned in life and are either learning new things from you each episode or am learning why exactly my mum taught me to do something a particular way without explaining why and I ensure I pass on all your tops and tricks to the mums at my work. Thank you Ruth Anne ❤️
Breadsticks are one of my favorite snacks. I dip them in French onion dip or salsa I learned in Texas. I even like it in my garden salads. Baking relaxes me when I'm anxious or depressed. I also like to share with my neighbors who live on frozen dinners and takeut. I was raised differently.
You are remarkable. What you accomplish in a day astounds me! When your kids come home from school, they know there will be some chores. But, they know they are loved and well fed!
Oh my goodness! These are absolutely perfect! Delicious. Thank you so much for this recipe! My four yr old grandaughter LOVES these. She had some ranch and carrots for snack and she dipped her stick in ranch. She asked for 2nds. She just said more Mimi more!
These breadsticks look so yummy! What a wonderful way to start your meal plan! What a great idea! I’m definitely going to try these! It does make a simple meal a special treat! Thank you!❤
Your breadsticks look so yummy, as does your beef stew. I just love watching you work with such skillful hands. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ideas, recipes and faith with us.
I LOVE your channel RuthAnn! I am binge watching all of your videos. I made these breadsticks tonight and my family loved them. I served them home made chicken noodle soup.
I love your channel. I am in Australia and am probably 1 of only a handful of people who have a Bosch machine like yours, so it teally helps me as I get used to it, because I only got it in February of 2024.
I love the bowl scraping, also. It really irks me when video cooks leave a lot in the bowl, or scrape it out with a spoon instead of a soft spatula! Reusing parchment is a great idea--I have done it for years and years, and it holds up use after use. Just wipe it off. It is easy to tell when it is time to toss it. Also, one tip some people may not be aware of: before sucking the air out of a bag, whether ziploc or vac seal, when intending to freeze bread or other soft pastries, freeze it first. When it is hard and you suck the air out, it doesn't squish down! Thanks for the fun!
Really liked the way you got the last of that sticky dough out of your mixer by rubbing with a little flour. It would save a lot of time and mess. You're channel is so very informative and fun.
Yes! I am in raw milk with lots of cream. Butter and mozzarella cheese is in the fridge. Now I'm making the second batch of butter. Plus this breadstick recipe. I made it when the video first came out. Now it's time to make it again it smells wonderful in here 😊 Thanks again Ruthann for sharing your videos with us. My next video will be watching how you can potatoes.
So today made the breadsticks and potato lentil soup. Mine didn’t raise as much but the flavor was really good. I’m now understanding when you said practice and you know the feel of the dough. I’m not giving up on them. I’m pretty sure I know what I can do differently
I really enjoy your videos. I will be trying your bread sticks this week. They will be wonderful with the soup I am making. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas and the inspiration.
You my beautiful lady are such a blessing! I also love your little mixing container I think that is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. You make our world so much better!❤
A note on the Bosch; you can take off that plastic piece that goes under the metal arm for big batches of dough like you made. The plastic extender is for smaller batches. Hope that helps!
i just made these today. They are so tasty. I added garlic powder and 3 onion spice mix to the dough. Yum! I agree that this would make a great pizza dough too. Thank you for all the great recipes you share.
Ive been wanting to tell you that I grew up with and was friends with a Zimmerman family from Iowa, wont say what town unless you want to know. Your videos are a good way to spend my online time.

Thank you. I’ve been wanting to make some cheese. I just got my rennet and you’re video was perfect. Thank you for all the amazing tips.❤❤ God is good.
I was like “DUH!!” when you said to not add more flour, but to just knead for 5 more minutes! And the easy way of forming. & slicing the dough. THANK YOU! Can you please link your dough bowl covers in every video?
I have to try these! They look absolutely scrumptious! I hope I can make them taste as good as yours look! I live in Taiwan and things are just a bit different here. Flour isn't the same and when. I bake things just come out different than when I was in US! My grandkids used to love to come and visit me because I always had yummy things for them to eat! Bless you all. You have a lovely family!
