Bay leaves. 3-4 small or 2 large
Mace. 2 flowers
Nutmeg whole. 1/4 piece
For Tadka:
Desi ghee or oil or butter. As required
Garlic cloves. 4-5 sliced
1 small onion thinly sliced
1 tbs grated ginger
Cumin. 1/2 tbs
Whole red chilli. 4(optional)
Chopped coriander. to taste
Black pepper powder. 1/2 tsp
Dried fenugreek leaves. 1 tbs
