Thank you for going slowly. It’s easy to follow what you are doing. I find to many other crotchet videos the people go to fast and you can’t follow what they are doing. Keep up the great videos.

Your video on this crochet rose pattern is great. I would like to make a bigger rose, but when I tried a larger hook size, the rose was very loose (I am using a 4 weight yarn and an I hook). I tried chaining 40 but did not know how to increase the numbers of groupings for the hdc (2X) , dc (5X) and tr (6X) stitches. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

I have such different rolling the 🌹, the middle of the flower keeps popping up. I’m going to hot glue the rose see if that stops what keeps happening to me. I’m using a smaller hook as I want a very tiny 🥀!!

I need help. For some reason, on Row 1, I ALWAYS end up with an extra chain despite starting with 28 chains. Is there a better understanding out there of what chain exactly to do a sc into?

It kinda sounds like u r starting right into the next link? But u gotta go over one and go into I guess the 26th on the chain. Cuz that link in the middle (the one u skip) serves as the end and is same size as a single crochet stitch so it keeps it even. … not to lose u, but say u making a scarf and if doing a double crochet stitch back and forth, when u get to the end of one row you chain 2 (or maybe it’s 3, it’s been a while) to create the first stitch of the new row , and then work back down the line. Basically there’s gotta be link(s) to be the placeholder at the end of your row

Hi Glenda, thanks for the video; and hope you are well. I did learn a good way to sew the rose together in this video. Before I was inserting the needle clear through the middle all the way back and forth, but I like this method much better; and haven't used it yet, but I am sure it is way more secure. Thanks again.
