What other kinds of fabrics work (I saw where you said you used techno crepe knit)? I'm curious if you've made bows with other types of fabric (ones with designs)? Thank you!
Hello, that turned out very pretty, thanks for sharing. One question, what material are you using for this headband?? I have mainly cotton material not stretchy, I would love to make this for my niece.
Hi Aida, Thank you for subscribing!🤗💗 Congratulations on your grandbaby!!! They are the best!🤗💗👶🏼💗 I have more things to sew for grandchildren on my channel you may want to check out, click here youtube.com/@RobynsLoveofSewing
Thank you so much!!!🤗🩷 Are you asking if I sewed the little flap in the back of bow? Yes I did. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for watching!🤗🩷🌸
I tried the method you showed. I love it! So easy yet your bow seems to be more flat than mine. When I circle around and go through the last hole it seems like the bow doesn’t lay as flat as yours any suggestions?
Hi Thank you so much! What kind of fabric did you use? That might be the reason yours isn’t as flat as mine. Hard to tell since I can’t see your bow headband.Thank you for watching!🤗💗
I may have missed it but I was wondering what kind of fabric you used to make these bows. I have my first grandbaby on the way. They don't know the sex yet but I would love to be able to make these bows if its a little girl. Great video.
Hello Stoneacresfarms, Congratulations on your first grandbaby! In this video I used techno crepe knit fabric and Bullet fabric is really nice to make the headband bows too. Thank you so much for watching!🤗💗
Hi, thank you for watching. I wish I could help you, I don’t know how to stop jersey knit from curling when you stretch it to make this headband. I’m sorry.
Please, I have a question with regards to the fabric. When you cut out the length of the fabric that you wanted to use (15.5 + 18 inches), did you weave the edges of the fabric? Most fabric start tearing from the edges after they are cut.
Hi, I used a knit fabric and knit fabric does not fray ( or tear away) when you cut it. No I did not weave or (sew) the edges. I hope this helps you!🤗🩷 Thank you for watching my video!🤗🩷🌸
Hi anagalva3406, thank you so much!🤗💗 In this video I used techno crepe knit fabric, but most people use bullet fabric, I didn’t have any bullet fabric when I made this video so I used the techno crepe knit. If you can find bullet fabric, I would recommend using that. Its softer than the one I used in the video. Thank you for watching!🥰💗
Hello, I used Techno Crepe Knit Fabric in this video. Most people use bullet fabric or a stretchy knit that is stable enough to hold up the bow. Thank you for watching.
Hi Cathy, I have not tried it using cotton fabric. Because cotton fabric doesn’t stretch and it would be hard to fit around the head. Also you would have to hem the cotton fabric because it would fray. Most people use bullet fabric. Or a stretchy knit fabric that is stable enough to hold the bow up. I used techno crepe knit in this video. A cotton waffle (cotton/polyester) fabric might work too. Thank you for watching.🤗💗
The best fabric to use is bullet fabric. You can also use a soft stretchy knit fabric. But if it’s too soft the bow won’t stand up as well. Thank you for watching!💗🤗
Hi Hannah, I used techno crepe knit fabric in this video, because I couldn’t find the bullet fabric most people use. You can sometimes find bullet fabric online. I found the techno crepe knit at the Wherehouse Fabric Store in Dallas Texas. Thank you for watching.🤗🩷
Hello, Here are approximate head circumference sizes Add 18" to the size below to get size to cut the fabric to tie into headband. Newborn 12" 1 month 13" 1-3 months 14" 3-6 months 15" 6-9 months 16" 9-12 months 17" 12-18 months 18" 18-24 months 19" 3T-5T 20"
@Robyn’s Love of Sewing i dnt understand i am frm pakistan. I watch very videos of this processes but not sure fabric length use in different age's plzz my confusion solve it.
@@ifrahamid5346 measure babys head and add 18” to that number to get cut length for fabric. For example; a 3 year old child’s head measures 20”, I add 18” to that and it equals 38”, so I cut my fabric 38” long to make headband. Another example you measure newborn baby head is 12”, you add 18” to that equals 30”, so you cut your fabric 30” long.
@@ifrahamid5346 38” is total length of cut fabric. You fold over 5” of fabric 2 folds to make bow. Is there a way you can click on my video to have it translated it into your language?
I bought my fabric at the Wherehouse Fabric store in Dallas Texas. I used techno crepe knit fabric in this video. Most people use bullet fabric, but I couldn't find any at the time. A soft stretchy knit fabric should work too. Thank you for watching my video!🤗🩷🌸
@@RobynsLoveofSewing January 30th but her first daughter was 3 weeks early sooo well see. She did the blood gender test last week, she said it'll take 2 weeks for the results. I'm soo happy for her, she's the one that I made the wedding dress for😍

Hi Nadine, will this guide help you? Approximate head circumference sizes Add 18" to the size below to get size to cut the fabric to tie into headband. Newborn 12" 1 month 13" 1-3 months 14" 3-6 months 15" 6-9 months 16" 9-12 months 17" 12-18 months 18" 18-24 months 19" 3T-5T 20"
Measure around babys head lets say the babys head is 14”, then you add 18” to that number to get the length of fabric to cut for headband is 32”. So you measure your babys head and add 18” to that number to get length to cut headband. I hope this helps.🤗
Hi, Sasekani Divine I used Techno Crepe Knit in this video I bought it at the Wherehouse Fabrics store in Dallas Texas.
