What I love most in all the wonderful things she says is how she always says "what I want is..." or "that's NOT what I want..." -- she always signals that even though she's casual and laid back, she's not sloppy-she knows what direction and goal she has and how to achieve it.

Love that woman and I miss her so much ! I have seen ALL her cooking show since her very first !!! I have ALL her recipes that she made in her cooking shows and i written all in one big book but I also buy ALL her cooking books and I have almost did all her recipes and love all !

Liptauer is famous Viennese bread spread, it is made of with sheep cheese , melted butter, paprika, spring onion, careway seeds salt and pepper.

That sounds delicious! Nigella said it was incredibly delicious eating it growing up. Do you also eat it in a sandwich with ham or is it always eaten by itself? She said the spread came from middle Europe somewhere so I guess that is correct since Vienna is in the middle of Europe ( although a very respectable and important country, and not at all to be forgotten as "in the middle of europe"). Can you eat it with chips or sliced raw vegetables like crudite? Or is it always with dark bread toasted?

We call Liptauer "Spundekaes" where I come from...love it with warm Brezel or any harty bread! There're so many variations you can make...just after your hearts content.

She is one of my favorite Cook's I love how she doesn't follow the rules all the time I could eat her food everyday ! And she is gorgeous as well. I have a question can you put olive oil in a canter and add garlic and rosemary and get the same affect as the garlic olive oil you buy in the store ?

Nigella is so marvellous. Her whitebait was the size of sardines in New Zealand. Our whitebait is as long as your little finger and about the 1/4 of the width. We mix egg with a little flour , add whitebait and fry in a pan as whitebait patties. Very delicious but extremely expensive. The season is October and November. They are such a treat.

When was this recorded? The camera quality looks very modern as do the recipes, but in one shot you can see an ancient iMac, one of those plastic bright coloured ones from the late 90s. Edited: it's 2001

Her second marriage became terrible because the man turned out to be abusive. She was able to divorce him. Leave the woman alone to bloom with peace .... marriage is not the permanent answer.

I just Luv the way U are Cookin Luv. But, also I adore the way U speak... It's sounds Holesem and very English....I could listen to U always... A nice Dessert: Slice plump chilled Strawberries. Put back in the fridge to chill. In a sauce pan, add a heaping tablespoon of butter. To that, add a heaping tablespoon of rich, dark brown sugar and two ounce of Kahlua. let the emulation of butter sugar and Kahlua caramelize. Place your thick slices of strawberries on your plate, pour over the caramelized sauce. Next, dab on a tablespoon of (Sour) Cream, not whipped cream. Then drizzle with chocolate sauce. To end it off, crackle over black pepper over everything, the sweet, sour and pepper. It is a taste explosion in your mouth.

Liptauer is not a middle eastern food. It comes from Austria. There are versions in Slovakian and Hungarian cooking too. It’s usually made with soft sheeps milk cheese, goats milk cheese or thick cottage cheese. It was a Spicy appetizer spread.
