@Jason O'Daniel You really should look into the relevant laws. RU-vid and such companies cannot be held legally responsible for content created by posters, including advertisers. Do you think that TV broadcasters are liable for advertisers' content? If that were the case every channel that hosted Ford Pinto ads would have also been sued. Use your head and do some actual research before you spout off on topics you know little about. BTW, your bank robbery scenario is a false equivalency. Look that up, too.

Thank you SO MUCH for shedding light on this absurd ad... I swear upon my first time viewing (quite literally a few minutes ago) my jaw DROPPED at how outrageous the misleading and untruthful claims are. The cherry on top is the bogus fear tactic claim that our phones are infected with (INSERT INTIMIDATING TECH SOUNDING BUZZ WORD HERE) ... Speaking for myself It feels nice to catch onto these kinds of things, but it makes me wonder how many other people get genuinely convinced with this kind of stuff. On a final note, you alleviated my urge to express my feelings on the ad and I once again thank you for shedding light on it for others to see.

@FlotsamCarnage
@FlotsamCarnage Год назад
Yep I found this video after seeing the same ad and I just had to research it after they claimed that regular electrical wires cause phone batteries to degrade. But nanotubes apparently would not 🤣 it doesn't matter what you use to charge your battery tbh, all rechargable batteries lose some capacity over the years. Totally ridiculous. Never mind the fact that nanotubes are nowhere near mass production and inexpensive civilian use

Apple acknowledged in December that it had intentionally slowed iPhones with degraded batteries through software updates to avoid sudden shutdown problems, but denied it had ever done anything to intentionally shorten the life of a product. The company later apologised for its actions and reduced the cost of battery replacements. It also added battery health information to iOS and allowed users to turn off the slowing down of the iPhone’s processor.

I saw this ad video and was very confused. They started with stuff that made me think they were going to try to market some software that could be used on jailbroken device. Then she started flashing around what looks like a charger... and I am staring at it at midnight going.... "Am I missing something? Isn't that a charger? A charger can't change programs, where is the part of it with the program?" At the same time I am pretty disconnected from the media so I am also trying to look up this whole scandal thing because I am like, "Shit when did I miss that?" Of course I find no one showing me how this is anything but a charger and nothing on a mass scandal. This innate desire to assume the best of people would really be kicking me in the ass if I wasn't also a skeptic that verifies everything. Anyhow, your video helped so I didn't keep looking trying to figure out 'where the non-charger part of this device was and the science on how that piece worked. My sleep deprived brain thanks you.

When I clicked on the discount link it took me to the order page where if you bought one it was not $32 but $38 + 7.95 shipping, or buy two for $29 each ($58 total) with free shipping or buy four for $22 each ($88 total) also free shipping. Big red flag right there. I am definitely not a tech expert, but I am smart enough to be skeptical and cautious. The claim that it could fix your phone, make it faster, etc. sounded good and I didn't know how or if that can be done, but common sense told me to do some research. I found your video and glad I did, you clued me in and confirmed this is a scam. Thank you! While watching your video it occurred to me that they might have been trying to use subtle psychological persuasion by having an Asian woman as the spokesperson. I just now saw the ad pop up...then discovered your video. So many red flags I lost count!!. Right off the bat, even IF a device like this could charge your phone in 11(15min), from 0 to 100%, it would not be good for the battery!!...in fact the amount of heat that would generate would be alarming!. Notice how they make the point of, "THEY don't want YOU to have OUR AMAZING device, and if you don't buy NOW, we may not have any more!?!?!, due to BIG TECH shutting us down" !!. What a load of bollocks!!. For all the issues that do exist with "big tech", they have nothing to do with this scam. I will say that there is a difference between usb chargers out there. I've got an old Samsung S20+. With a Samsung charger it usually charges my phone from around 20% to 100% in around 2hrs+ ?, your millage may very. With a generic charger you pick up at the ralphs check out stand, it could take at least twice as long. that's significant, but not 11min significant!!. This un-named person hired by the un-named Co. really want us to believe this thing is the magic bullet that will save us thousands $$$ ???? I guess the BBB can't step in to put the kibosh on this BS ??

On a different version of the ad I just saw of the same product, it was some white professor-looking dude that invented the product. When it comes to battery charging, it is all regulated by the device's built-in power management system. That's why you can plug in a... 1,000W charger (as long as the voltage is 5V), and it won't burn up your phone, because of the power management system.

Their claim to charge a 4500mAH in 15 minutes is ridiculous. Each port says 3 Amps. At 3 Amps it would take 4.5 AHr/3A = 1.5 Hours to charge! To charge in 15 minutes it would take 4.5AHr/.25HR = 18 Amps. 18Amps would melt your USB cable in 1 minute.

Sorry for the long explanation but i know from experience if i just said fast charging is bad people argue with me and i hate debating with idiots so i explained everything from the start: actually you can charge a battery fully in just one second using a car booster and charging cord: Cut the charge cord disgard the part you'd plug in the wall and expose the metal center of the cord part you kept. Put the car booster's clamps in thee exposed metal the cord and set it to max and boom instant charge! Yet now one recommends quick charge for your battery but dont tell you why. I learned this in mechanics: Every battery are basically a box of living acid and some positive and negative metal plates inside. The acid is what stores the electricity and it is feeding on the electricity to stay alive. However if you put too much electricity to fast, you will kill all the acid. Its like trying to force a human to dring a pool of water at once, the human needs water to live but too much too fast will kill the human. Or a cancle needs air to stay alight but too much air like a strong wind will kill the candle flame. Now acid is alot more resilient then a candle flame but it doesnt reproduce by itself, its a bacteria made by living organism so the ones that do die are dead forever and so if you charge the battery too fast all the time, you battery will have less and less acid alive to store the electricity. Meaning it wont last as long and the battery will die faster and faster until there are so little alive acid left that it cannot even power your phone anymore. If you use a weaker charge that takes longer to charge, your battery acid will live longer and therefor you wont need to change phones as often. In mechanic they teach you to use the lowest setting that takes from 12 to 24 hours to charge the battery. So never ever use any fast charging battery. - In other words, charging you phone faster like this will make you phane last less time and will make youbuy new phone faster so yes it is a scam and its worse then you think.

I didn't go for it but when I saw the charge on my bank account they automatically added the additional charger. I tried the charger and discovered it was taking even longer to charge than my own charger. Tried calling them and the voice mail said to call between the hours of x and y. I tried several times to call between the hours of x and y and realized this was a total scam. Called my bank and reported what happened for a full refund on my account. Charging a phone THAT fast is absolutely DANGEROUS for the phone and the person. It makes the lithium ion battery age faster and has a higher chance of exploding. Heck if the charger struggles to pull power, clean the lint out of the port. Heck get some contact cleaner like deoxit. It's safe on tech, including in ports. Who throws around money to buy a phone every year? My iPhone 7 lasted 6+ years. I changed the battery once. If people want a "supercomputer " it's called a laptop or heck a desktop. Better yet get a gaming pc if you have money to toss around to replace an iPhone yearly.

I bought 2... all I ended up with was 2 multi-chargers, which is fine, but yeah... it's a scam. Lesson learned.

I have been scammed too, and guess what? When I called the customer servi, e they told me that if you return the devices, you will have to pay the shipping and 15%of the original price or we have another option. We will refund you 50% and keep the devices. 😂

Thanks for your video ! You're saving money for people ! I wish somebody would do the same thing about all those ads that start out by saying they will reveal this simple trick that will save you from some heath problem but the pharmaceutical industry will soon take the ad off RU-vid and after you've watched the ad for about 25 minutes they don't show you any simple trick but try to sell you some pills. Many of these ads have a Brittish sounding commentator.

Because of stuff like this I never trust anything online. Before I pay I have to do so much research it's easier to just go to the brick and mortar. It used to be "if it seems to good to be true" but now the scam product costs as much or more than the real.

Hi Ethan. Happy to help out. I wish there were more people making these scam videos like I am. There are lots of scammers out there, but not so many people trying to help victims. Thanks for watching.

When I see ads on the internet and I’m interested in purchasing I always do a search for reviews, anywhere other than their own website and I have not found one thing yet that has glowing 5 star ratings, just like this so will not be purchasing. Thanks for taking the time to review so people like me don’t continue being ripped of buy buying useless items

The only way that charger will change anything in the phone is if the charger itself has a mini computer with a software on it to upload to your phone while charging it

These are actually available for $2.50 on ebay, incl shipping, recently bought several there. The pic shows a euro plug but you can select the USA option. Decent charger for that price, but not of these cheap chargers are ever qc3, even tho they all claim to be. They also don't last as long as name brand ones, although I usually get a couple years out of them. Probably are also more likely to cause a fire, I try to unplug when not in use. This ad was infuriating and is indicative of what happens when 25% of the country spends their evenings wallowing in conspiratorial fantasies.

Every video that sells cheap Chinese products uses the SAME backstory: "So-and-so worked for one of the leading [insert product category here] companies, but took exception to the company doing [insert negative practice here] so they went off on their on and developed this thing which will revolutionize the industry." They always say that everyone and their dog is trying to ban it or get it off the market (which is NEVER true), and that "we're going to sell x units at 50% off just to get it into consumers' hands." I've seen at least a dozen such videos (most of them computer narrated and featuring attractive-but-nerdy-looking actor/models) featuring everything from drones to flashlights to binoculars to cell phone chargers to SSD/HDD-to-USB interfaces to Linux-on-a-thumb-drive "Super-Speed your laptop" solutions. These are ALWAYS products you can get elsewhere at HALF the price they're charging or less, and the websites for the advertised products NEVER have ANY company information on them - no company name, no address, no (working) phone number, no email address... nothing - so, good luck with your "100% Money-Back Guarantee"!
