I went to college on campus and wasted so much time commuting when I can use that time to stay home and study. When you miss a class you have to find someone for notes. I'm making the switch to online. Congratulation!!
I'm only nine weeks into an 18month MAT program at Liberty. I recently learned that Liberty found my BS degree 10 credits short of what they want for Content Competency. So now I'm looking at Straighter Line and Sophia to get these classes pounded out quickly and economically. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Congratulations!! I love your determination. I'm taking Sophia to get some additional credits.. I needed the 60days to complete with my work schedule. I planned to do this to make sure I had my Bachelors within 4 yrs and not 5yrs, and also I want to make sure I have enough financial aid to cover everything. Straightline and Sophia is awesome for us online college students.
How was Sophia and straighterline? Are they regionally accredited ? How are the courses do you think they are tougher than brick and morter because you are 100% online ?

LU has frozen tuition and it's among the cheapest schools (though I live in NJ and everything is overly priced) LU also has a 15% promotion if you work.for a small business. ;-)

varinder gill Great question! I congratulate you for having the courage to consider it. First, I prayed for God’s guidance and my resolve to homeschool to be convicted by Him. He answered faithfully. I attended a Christian homeschool conference when my son was just three yo. That was LIFE CHANGING and very affirming that I could do it. With God’s help. You will meet a lot of mothers of all ages and are seasoned homeschoolers there as well as very young mothers like you who are just about to start their homeschooling journey. That’s also very encouraging. They come from different life backgrounds and educational experiences that you will soon realize if they can do it, I can do it too. With God. And you will be exposed to so many curriculums and you will be able to hear from other families how their choices work for them or not. Start reading about curriculum reviews too. One very reliable source is Cathy’s curriculum reviews. Her last name is not coming to me right now. Will send you another reply later when I remember. She is well trusted for her reviews. Those are two great starts. When you read curriculum reviews it will tell you a lot which ones resonate with your values and teaching styles you envision for yourself. Pray. Pray a lot. At the end of the day, it is your choice and not other families which will dictate what you think fits you and your child. When your son is actually ready for school for you, that’s another great thing to consider. His learning style versus our teaching preferences. Of course, our children learning style trumps anything else right? I am a Christian woman so it is very important to me that we use a curriculum which is God centered and Christ honoring. I prayed about it hard and God led me to My Father’s World. It is an amazing curriculum and very affordable for many families. Especially great for when you’re teaching young ones. They allow education to be fun for kids and flexible and easy to teach for parents. They write down the daily lesson plans for you which you can add to or take away from!!! Genius. Fantastic. My son is now in 6th grade and we started from PreK 1. And we are loving it everyday. I’ll be praying for you today. So to encapsulate: 1) Pray for guidance 2) start reading about curriculum reviews 3) attend a homeschool conference as soon as you can.

this makes me glad I started out at a community college. I did all my electives at the community college as part of my education master plan. I got an A.A. in Humanities, A.A. in Social\Behavioral Science, and A.S. in Office Administration prior to enrolling with Liberty. All that was debt-free.
@@MeetTheBratchers let me clarify I will still have debt when I finish with Liberty but all my electives were covered from the earlier college. I am expected to to complete my B.S. with 165 units and I am a little over a year away from completing my program.
@@MeetTheBratchers One of the things that I feel deeply blessed by is the kind of recognition my local community college has. In 2017 Mt. San Jacinto College was 31 out of the top 100 in the nation and that was the year I transferred to Liberty
Thankh You for Sharing 🌻I have one course to complete in the next 4 weeks and I just feel so discouraged because I don't have good study habits and I already feel like I'm drowning and I just began the course. I just have to push through and get out of my own way. I had the same idea about doing a quiz everyday and it just hasn't lined up the way I planned. I will finish and get to my goal 💛
By the end of the Fall 2022 semester, I’ll still need 15 elective credits before I can graduate. Definitely taking them through StraighterLine. So tired of Liberty’s tuition.

I’ll be starting my courses with LUO in June for summer 2020 which is very exciting 🌸 I’ll be the very first female in my family to actually finish high school and complete college. I was wondering if there were ways that I could finish my degree completion faster for my B.E.D, I’m trying to see if there are ways to complete it under 4 years or maybe even 3 years. I’ll be also taking courses throughout all the upcoming summers which could help speed things up a bit.
Hello! First and foremost, congrats on being the first in your family! That is something to be respected and honored! Concerning your question, it is possible; you just need to ask LUO for the Straighterline credit transfer equivalency form so you will know what electives you can take to honor the credit requirements. I hope you do well and that you accomplish the goals you set out to accomplish!
This exact same thing is happening to me right now. I am currently going through that disappointment and heartbreak lol. I need 13 more classes because my university failed to also tell me that I need these electives. They literally told me to only take out x amount in a loan to finish the classes, but now I need another loan to finish more... it's a complete mess tbh. I was also told to try Straighterline so thank you so much for posting this.

This is my first semester at liberty university online I work full time and have 3 children under 5 years old. Sometimes i feel overwhelmed but the teachers have been amazing. I am currently only taking 2 credits how many do you recommend me taking so i can graduate on time for my bachlors.

First of all congratulations! Next year I will begin my online experience with Liberty University. It seems like every syllabus includes essays, research, ect. as indicated on the school website. Is this the case or do some instructors disregard the website syllabus?

Also the great thing about being a LUO student is that when you receive your degree, it doesn't state that you were on online student! @@ThatsJustImani_ Hi! Yes, I had to do a student teaching internship/ field experience but it was 8 weeks ( I believe). They had longer options but I choose to the shorter one because at that time I was getting a lot of field experience with subbing as well (I am not sure if you will have options with your degree plan). I had some questions in relation to Liberty University, I’m also a first generation college student currently attending a community college, my question is in relation to the tuition and fees, I’m shooting for my Bachelors and hopefully one day towards a masters but tuition and fees has always scare me away as a first generation student. All that to ask, how is the tuition and fees? Are they really flexible? I looked at their website but it prompted more questions due to my current job and i don’t make the best income. What is it like to take the online classes at Liberty. I unenrolled at another university because the classes were just thrown together for an online format because of COVID and it was horrendous! Liberty has had their system up and running for a while but I have not found any videos on the format, how one takes exams, etc. Can you discuss this on another video.

No, I don't recall needing either. I would confirm with the students account office. If you go to the website www.liberty.edu and do the chat, they will be able to confirm with you.
So if you’re just getting started out you can take classes towards your degree and they can transfer them onto the school you want ? ( the school they can send them too ) and your gpa would be okay to go to that school as long as you pass the classes on there correct ?
