Thank you for doing a video correctly. I enjoy review videos, but holy lord. Most people spend the majority of time talking. You actually show us what they sound like. I appreciate that. Now im ordering the 42x. You can tell the crossover helps.
Salaam walaekum bro,Initially i ordered a pair of RB42s but after seeing a lot of reviews i felt that my pioneer htp-072 100watt @6ohms amplifier won't be able to power these speakers(not sure) as I heard it need quite a bit of power so after seeing your review I finally decided to go for mb42x for front L,R and rb42C as the mono centre, still waiting for someone's approval whether RB42s gonna fit my amp perfectly,so that I can make a purchase and replace the mb42x as the rear L,R and rb42 as the front L,R. Thank you
What would you suggest for 2. 1 setup, Between micca mb42x-c and mb42x. Is spending extra for a pair of center for stereo worth? Currently in amazon sell mk3 version or a lower version speaker? Appriciate your response in advance.
I would consider the overall cost as my decision maker, u'll need an amp and sub too for a 2.1 setup, add everything together and see the difference.... If u pay a little extra like $20 for mb42x-c version, then sure! But if it's cost more like $80-100 then ur better off with mb42x, shop around, look into pair of Edifier 1850db and hook up a sub to that for 2.1 setup ;)
@@sazzad_hossain.s thanks for your reply. I current have jbl sb250 sound bar. I am not happy with the sound that come from sound bar and the wireless subwoofer is awesome produce very good base. So I opened the soundbar, unplugged the speaker and connected my two low cost bookshelf speaker which I had in my home. I am satisfied with the output. The sound bar will act as a 60w amp with sub. I want more mid and high freq response. So suggest me a passive speaker for that. I would buy micca if its really produce a good quality sound with right details and staging.
@@pradeepkumar4235 I see, in that case, yeah either mb42x-c or mb42x will give clear sound, whichever fits your budget, I really liked the miccas even with my little Lepai amp lol the crossover unit makes the sound more crisp, hope you jbl sound bar let you control treble and bass 👍

A much better format for this would be to just cut out the parts where it shows you switching cables so it's completely seamless. Also perhaps instead stopping to explain what's happening at 3:04 just put any required information in text up on screen. In general, for a speaker sound demo you want as little space as possible in between switching speakers so it's easier to discern tonal differences.
You know, you'd think Micca would explain details about why the crossover does what it does.. but all they say is the following 'This crossover significantly improves the tonal balance and clarity of the speaker..' lol .. magic!
what it does: sends the correct frequencies to the woofer and the tweeter. And it smooths out the frequency response. Without a proper crossover, the standard mb42 is just relying on the natural way the drivers sound which can be pretty bleh. Crossovers smooth everything out.
@@sazzad_hossain.s Will i know a huge difference with mb42x if i use sub with mb 42,i want to buy mb42 because the mb42 is almost half the price cheaper in india than mb42x. Is it worth to go for the x version paying almost double the price...
